After entering, there is a small courtyard. Behind the circular cave gate, the four characters "Pianshi Mountain House" on the wall were handwritten by Professor Chen Congzhou.
These are the two entrances of the courtyard. Although the courtyard is small, it is also decorated with a set of lake stones.
Enter the water pavilion in the park. You can see the pool and the 'not tied boat' by the pool. The non tied boat is located on the west side of the repaired Mingnanmu Hall mountain wall, which is a newly added building by Professor Chen. The 'not tied boat' built by the water is quite unique, resembling a ship but not a ship, resembling a dock but not a dock. Standing there is a great spot to admire the rockery of the lake across from you.
The water pavilion is arranged according to the theme of "qin, qi, calligraphy and painting":
To the east of the end is a chess room, with ancient locust tree roots carved on top of a chessboard.
Opening a well spring indoors, it is said that when the wind blows, it can make a sound, symbolizing the sound of "qin".
There is a study separated on the west side, which is called a 'book'.
A flower window was carved on the southern wall, and looking out of the window, it looked like a painting.
Adjacent to the unsecured boat is the mountain wall of Nanmu Hall. This is a relic of the Nanmu Hall from the Ming Dynasty. In order to distinguish it from the Qing Dynasty Nanmu Hall south of Yuxiu Tower, this room is called the "Ming Nanmu Hall".
Standing without tying the boat, one can appreciate the rockery that is closely attached to the north wall, which is the masterpiece of Shi Tao.
The rockery style has a unique style, which is the so-called technique of treating the lower house and the upper peak. The main peak is stacked on top of two brick "stone houses". There are two paths leading to the stone house. Unfortunately, the passage is currently blocked, preventing access to the rockeries and stone houses on the other side.
The rockery is equipped with steep and vigorous main peaks and accompanying peaks, making the entire lake stone seem scattered and continuous, rushing and jumping, with extraordinary aura!
The unique design of the stacked stone utilizes the circular holes in the rockery that allow sunlight to pass through, leaving behind the wonder of a "moon in the water" in the pool. Watching the reflection of the bright moon swaying in the water from here is truly a wonderful idea to worship Shi Tao!
In order to complement the scenery of the "Moon in the Water", Professor Chen installed a large mirror on the west wall of the pool, allowing visitors to see the beautiful scenery of the rockery pool water through the mirror. This landscape is called 'Mirror Flower'.
After watching the rockery, the tour of the stone mountain house came to an end.
Return to the hotel. Because I ordered a meal for lunch. I just casually ate some soup dumplings and fermented meatballs nearby in the evening, and it felt very refreshing!
