I particularly like Songjiacheng in Yangzhou. Not only does it have a history of over 800 years, but Yangzhou city has also turned it into a free sports park. A park with a vast area of 38.71 hectares, all for citizens' leisure and entertainment, completely free of charge, is not an easy task. The Songjiacheng Park is lined with green trees and fragrant grass. There are also sports venues such as bookstores, fencing, archery, basketball, tennis, as well as supporting facilities such as leisure coffee and dining villas. Tourists can also rent bicycles to play. Many free parks abroad that have been hyped up may not even cover one tenth of their area.
Every year, Yangzhou hosts exciting programs. On this National Day, Yangzhou joined forces with major cities along the canal to launch the "Canal Carnival" project. The main venue for the first year was located in Yangzhou, known as the "eldest son of the canal", and Songjiacheng became the most abundant venue for festival activities. There are many free performances and exhibitions of Yangzhou's intangible cultural heritage. In addition to performances in Yangzhou, local operas from cities along the canal are also frequently performed on stage, and tourists can watch them for free.
Of course, this is similar to the temple fair in Beijing, where people visit and buy things. However, the difference is that there will be no overcharging here, and of course, free admission is also a difference. There will also be no dirty and messy garbage everywhere. In addition, the intangible cultural heritage exhibition area has a strong appeal to children, with various displays of intangible cultural heritage aimed at them.
Sugar sculpture and blowing sugar figures are also important intangible cultural heritage of Yangzhou. The art of blowing sugar in Yangzhou began in the Ming Dynasty and has been passed down to this day. Although there are sugar blowing techniques all over the country, they are mainly divided into the northern faction mainly based on Beijing and Tianjin, and the southern faction mainly based on Yangzhou in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions. This reminds me of foot repair, which is also a martial arts world. The country is divided into two major factions: the Northern School of Foot Repair and the Yangzhou School of Foot Repair.
This is a lantern making that is now difficult to see, perhaps a toy that parents would have played with when they were young. First, tie the frame with wire, then wrap the surface with paper, silk, or yarn, and decorate the pattern. Various lifelike shapes can be placed at home or carried around with lanterns for fun. The lantern art of Yangzhou is among the best in China.
In Yangzhou, there is also the famous local brand Xie Fuchun, which is the first cosmetics enterprise in China with a history dating back to the Daoguang era. In 1915, he won a silver medal at the Panama International Tour and became an international brand. Although many big foreign brands are now sought after by small capital white-collar workers, ethnic enterprise Xie Fuchun, with its natural materials and ethnic craftsmanship, is still popular among many people in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions.
There are roses placed on the stall, which are one of the ingredients used to make cosmetics and have a refreshing fragrance.
If you have never been to Yangzhou's handicraft factories, it is difficult to understand how developed Yangzhou's handicrafts are: lacquer ware, gold and silver ware, wood ware, printing, tea making, textile, paper making, jade, bronze ware, Paper Cuttings, Tongcaohua, Ronghua, etc. Palace dramas such as "The Story of Yanxi" and many jewelry box decorations in rooms are produced in Yangzhou. Unfortunately, there are many handicrafts that require a lot of effort, and young people cannot bear to learn them, which are facing extinction.
The little clay figurine in Yangzhou is an ancient and unique skill of Yangzhou city. Yangzhou prospered because of the Grand Canal. Later, Qianlong went to the south of the Yangtze River for six times. It was prosperous for many times, leaving many exquisite handicrafts, including the national dish Huaiyang Cuisine cuisine. I especially recommend buying Gaoyou Salted duck egg here. I really regret that I bought less. As soon as I opened the oil, it kept pouring out. It was very delicious.
There are also free water performances in the sports park, and you can go to the water's edge to watch them according to the performance time.
There was also an exciting Russian circus performance. My friends and I watched one, with 100 tickets per ticket, which was really not expensive. The content inside was very exciting, and the audience shouted "extremely cooperative" during each thrilling action performance.
There are naturally many handsome men and beautiful women.
There is also 'Memories Kill', and the theater has free shadow puppetry performances. It may be difficult for people to have the temperament to watch it now, but children enjoy watching it with relish.
