After the trip, sharing what you have seen and heard through text and pictures is the most interesting way to prolong this wonderful "travel experience", as if you have suddenly returned to that city. Previously, I traveled to Yangzhou and had a rather luxurious breakfast there. The reason why I say this is because there were a wide variety of breakfast options and the breakfast cost was 87 yuan.
When it comes to daily breakfast, it's nothing more than milk, eggs, bread, noodles, buns, and porridge, priced between 3-5 yuan. Occasionally, yogurt and bread are priced at just over 10 yuan. Although I have long hoped for a different breakfast, unfortunately, my cooking skills are limited, and even the best ingredients in my hands will only be wasted. I've heard people say that I must go to Yangzhou for morning tea before, so this time I won't miss it!
Yangzhou people want to go to a specialized tea house for morning tea. Before going there, I also made a guide and learned that "Fuchun, Gonghe Spring, and Yechun" are the "three springs" of Yangzhou. I originally planned to go to Fuchun Tea House, but in the end, I went to "Quyuan". Perhaps this is the joy of traveling. Even if you have made a guide in advance and read other people's reviews, when choosing, you will still follow your own pace. The hotel I stayed at is near Xuningmen Bridge. As I went to Dongguan Street the night before, I woke up a little late the next day and didn't leave until around 10 o'clock to tidy up. It only takes 10-20 minutes to take a taxi to Quyuan, and I was worried that it might close before 12 noon. As a result, I saw many people queuing up to dine with their numbers, which made me feel much more at ease. (When I came to Yangzhou, it would be a pity if I couldn't have authentic morning tea!)
You don't have to worry about boredom when queuing up for a meal at the Fun Garden, because not only do we provide guests with tables and chairs to rest, but the surrounding scenery is also quite nice. Chatting with friends, taking photos, it's really enjoyable. After a while, the service staff started calling my number. As I was dining alone, a small table was arranged, and the LED screen in the lobby was currently playing a video of the Yangzhou episode of "Flavored Human" in a loop.
After taking a seat, the staff will bring you a cup of tea, and then guide you to scan the code to order a meal. After looking at the price, it is still more conscientious. Finally, they order 8 samples: Jingguo Powder Soaked in Diamond Navel, Huaiyang Hot Dried Silk (small), Wuding Bun, Sanding Bun, White Congee, Thousand Layer Oil Cake, Pine Kernel Barbecue, Jade Barbecue. Perhaps because I was too hungry and saw other diners enjoying their meals, I felt that the waiting process was really long
The first thing on the table was Huaiyang Hot Dried Silk. Because I was replying to messages on my phone at the time, I could already smell a strong sesame oil smell before I even saw what it looked like. Maybe it's because I already like to eat soy food, anyway, it's love. As for the thousand layer oil cake and jade shaomai, which are known as the "two wonders of Yangzhou", they must be tasted well. I even carefully counted how many layers there were in the thousand layer oil cake. Before I could finish counting, I couldn't wait to take a bite. In front of the delicious food, patience had long run out. Personally, I think jade shaomai is better than pine nut shaomai. As for what the dishes wrapped inside are, I have never tasted them. Are they vegetables that are only available in the Yangzhou area?
I am quite interested in steamed buns because they contain meat, but in Yangzhou, steamed buns are not just buns. Every bite is like opening a blind box, and you never know what the next bite will taste like, because besides pork, there are also seasonal ingredients such as mushrooms and shrimp kernels.
Finally, I want to praise this King Kong navel soaked Jingguo powder. I thought it would be a paste like lotus root powder dessert. When it was served, it looked unremarkable, but as soon as you took a bite, the taste was simply amazing. It felt like eating sweet cream bread, but it wasn't so sweet and greasy. After all, a person's stomach is only that big, but they still want to try it all, but there are still some left that haven't been eaten. I hope the waiter, when tidying up the table, doesn't mistake it for the diners feeling that it's not delicious. The fact is that I ordered too much.
Eating a breakfast for 87 yuan is really luxurious compared to the breakfast I usually have. It is said that the key to a day lies in the morning. For many people, waking up early not only allows them to see the beautiful sunrise, but also to taste the most delicious breakfast. After leisurely finishing a satisfying breakfast and taking a walk across from Songjiacheng Sports and Leisure Park, one will understand why Yangzhou won the United Nations Habitat Award in 2006.
Back then, Li Bai sent Meng Haoran down to Yangzhou, and the phrase "fireworks in March down to Yangzhou" became a reason for many people to yearn for this city. Local people told me that Yangzhou in March is the most beautiful time, but I want to say that Yangzhou has its own beauty at every time. Therefore, I believe that throughout the year, whenever you want to go, Yangzhou will welcome you!
