Nowadays, people like to stir up CP on the internet,
And if we want to find the most suitable city for Spring Girl to settle in,
The Yangzhou city in front of us is obviously the most suitable.
This is a city that has been immersed in Tang and Song poetry for too long, and has long been brewing poetic ideas.

In the memory of Jiangnan, Yangzhou holds a special status,
You won't see her often,
But every spring, I always unconsciously think of Li Bai's catchy poem.
You have many imaginations about Yangzhou, imagining her adorned with jingling ornaments, smiling like flowers, with infinite tenderness, wandering by the thin West Lake on rainy days, wandering on Dongguan Street under moonlight, and falling in a peach blossom rain in Heyuan in March.
These tenderness that once appeared in dreams are so real!
This is Yangzhou, isn't it. As soon as it is mentioned, one falls into a drunken dream, where swallows fly down the Qiong Tower, spring rain knocks on the window, and a Yangzhou woman in a green shirt sits by the pavilion and water pavilion, singing gentle songs——
Spring girl is beautiful, spring girl is beautiful, there are so many wonders in Yangzhou city, how can we not go and take a look.

How to arrange the itinerary for Yangzhou?

⭐ ️ The old city of Yangzhou is not big. What are the must visit attractions first?
The classic ones are still those few: Shouxi Lake (admission fee 95 yuan), Heyuan (admission fee 43 yuan), Geyuan (admission fee 45 yuan), Lushi Salt Merchant (admission fee 12 yuan), Daming Temple (admission fee 43 yuan), Dongguan Street (free of charge), Yangzhou Shuangbo Museum (free of charge).

⭐ ️ What are the must visit delicacies?
Firstly, Yangzhou's morning tea is a must drink. The time-honored brands such as Fuchun, Yechun, and Gonghe Chun are not even popular among locals, so the taste can be imagined. I highly recommend going to another time-honored brand, "Quyuan Tea House," located on the banks of the Shouxi Lake. Quyuan has a top-notch environment and a strong Jiangnan charm, with good taste and service. The only downside is that there are too many people during the morning tea period, and the accounts are usually released on site before 7 o'clock, so many people come to queue up at 5 o'clock.
If you wake up so early, you can also come at dinner time. The Fun Garden in the evening is even more beautiful, and the queue time is only about half an hour. Just sign up and go for a stroll in the garden, and when you come back, you can have dinner.
🥟 The recommended dishes are: Jade Roasted Wheat, Salt Merchant Wu Ding Bao, Double Ma Crispy Cake, Crab Powder Lion Head, Shrimp Seed Yangchun Noodles, priced at 70 yuan per person
The second choice for morning tea is the chain "Garden Tea House", which has a good taste and an environment comparable to that of a street breakfast shop. However, it is also affordable without queuing, and locals love to go there. The shops are widely distributed and dining is very convenient.
🥟 Recommended dishes: Garden Scalded Dry Silk, Crab Roe with Crab Bun, Crab Roe Steamed dumplings, Tofu Skin Bun, Kidney Soup, 25 yuan per capita

🍰 After finishing morning tea, let's talk about snacks
Of course, you have to go to Dongguan Street to eat snacks. In Dongguan Street, you have to eat a bowl of sweet scented osmanthus lotus root starch balls and Stewed Pork Ball in Brown Sauce; "Jiangjiaqiao Dumpling Noodle Shop" wants a bowl of shrimp seed dumpling noodles, bamboo shoot meat Potsticker; Eat some four xi rice dumpling at "Zhao's Folding rice dumpling", and finally go to the century old store "Big Qilin Pavilion" to buy a chrysanthemum cake as a letter of hand.
👍 Finally, the famous Huaiyang Cuisine cuisine
What I'm going to is not the Lion Tower, which only tourists come to, but another restaurant called "7 Eat 8 Bar Sunshine Restaurant" that locals will queue up for. Haha, judging from the name, it doesn't feel appetizing at all. I was the same at the time, but there were so many positive reviews on a certain review website, and it was strongly recommended by a friend from Yangzhou. After eating, I really think it's good, with first-class environment, service, and taste.
Recommended dishes: Huaiyang soft bag (eel), Wensi tofu soup, Ya sliced fish with scallions, Yangzhou fried rice, salted goose, 120-150 yuan per capita.

⭐ ️ Recommended accommodation area: Dongguan Street area (located in the center of the old city, not far from Shouxi Lake and He Yuan)

⭐ ️ Three day tour recommendation:
DAY1: Morning tea at Fun Garden Tea House -- Slender West Lake -- Daming Temple --7 bars of Huaiyang Cuisine
DAY2: Garden Tea House Drinking Morning Tea - Individual Garden - Dongguan Street Snacks - He Garden - Lu's Salt Merchant
DAY3: Jiangjiaqiao Dumpling Noodle Restaurant - Yangzhou Shuangbo Museum - High speed Rail Return

He Yuan

In the spring imagination of Yangzhou, gardens are certainly indispensable.
Yangzhou gardens are slightly different from Suzhou gardens in their exquisite and elegant style of "playing with big articles in a small world". Yangzhou gardens are more open and harmonious. Taking the famous "He Garden" as an example, the builder He Zhizhen named it "Jixiao Mountain Villa", which is spacious with a hint of Jianghu atmosphere. Walking in, you will see high walls and deep courtyards, with four floors in one, as if you have entered the mansion of some world-renowned master.
This "He Garden" is the most acclaimed compound corridor, with a total length of over 1500 meters, connecting the east and west gardens, layered and intertwined with the stone pavilions, towers, and pavilions of Chizhao Mountain. The scenery and objects blend seamlessly, especially in the Huxin Pavilion, where the sound of Guangling Guqin plays and the music echoes back and forth in the corridor, as if accidentally transported back to the time when the owner of this house was still living here.

The He Garden in Yangzhou is known as the "First Garden of the Late Qing Dynasty". I don't know who this statement comes from?
When it comes to quality, He Yuan is quite exquisite. The scale is not grand, covering nearly a hundred acres. Among them, there are mountains and waters, stacked stone walls, pavilions and towers, lush flowers and trees, and a combination of Chinese and Western styles. Everywhere is well managed.

The courtyard is mainly composed of a double layered embroidered building in the shape of a circle, with brick and wood structure, fireplace and lanterns, Western style grille, and Chinese style window eaves, connected in all directions by a wooden corridor. There are two gardens in the courtyard, with the "Pianshi Mountain House" small garden on the east side of the south entrance. Behind the embroidery tower to the north is the large garden of "Jixiao Mountain Villa".

In March, fireworks set off in Yangzhou, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan, and even more so, admiring the Qiong flowers of Guangling. As an excellent ornamental shrub, the Qiong flowers in Heyuan Scenic Area have quietly bloomed, with jade petals, golden stamens, and clear Qiong fragrance.

If you are only passing through Yangzhou briefly, there is no need to regret too much for missing out on scenic spots. In Yangzhou, gardens are not just protected historical sites, but a profound aesthetic. It can be said that the entire city of Yangzhou is a large garden, and walking in it often leads to unexpected scenery, a sense of ancient significance, and vivid human fireworks.

If you look at an old tree planted at the entrance of an alley from afar, then go in and take a stroll. The houses in the alley are still the plain brick walls of a hundred years ago, and the vines hanging from the stone wall at the entrance are lush and green. The orange red sky whispers in pairs and threes, waiting for the night to fall to see the moon in Yangzhou. The well at the end of the alley has been wedged in this land for more than 600 years. I have witnessed many changes in life, and today the well is still clear.

A gentle breeze walked through the alley, bringing a few dog barks to my ears and then taking them away. I kept pacing deep into the alley, slowly tracing back those old and mottled times, as if turning the next corner, I could collide with a Yangzhou woman holding a qin.

Lushi Salt Merchant

Let's go back in time to a thousand years ago. Yangzhou is a city that originated from salt, and its millennium history is the millennium history of salt in China. Salt costs ten thousand profits, coupled with the strong support of Emperor Yang of Sui in excavating the Grand Canal, the prosperity of Yangzhou can be compared to New York in the world today.
The salt merchants in Yangzhou praised wealth and pursued gold, indulged in extreme extravagance, built luxurious gardens, raised famous women, trained opera troupes, competed in skilled chefs, and spent a lot of money several times when taking over the imperial carriage. Even the emperor would be jealous if he saw it. At that time, the city of Yangzhou was full of energy and vitality, truly a dreamlike beauty.

In Yangzhou, where "gardens are mostly residential", the large ancient buildings with blue bricks and black tiles around No. 22 Kangshan Street are the largest luxury residences of salt merchants in late Qing Dynasty Yangzhou, known as the "first floor of salt merchants" and the Lu salt merchant residence. The owner of the house is the wealthy businessman Lu Shaoxu. It is reported that this house was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of over 10000 square meters. The construction of this house cost more than 70000 taels of silver. It has become the most dazzling pearl among many with its sprawling architectural complex and exquisite architectural style, and is an unmissable highlight of Yangzhou's ancient city culture.

The gate facing south on the street is grand and exquisite. The brick carvings on the lintel are exceptionally exquisite. Despite the vicissitudes of time, one can still discern the lively and vivid characters with different expressions on the brick carvings.
Immersed in it, the Huaihai Hall, Lanxin Hall, Hanbi Hall, and Yiqing Building are connected, with spacious halls capable of hosting a hundred banquets, exuding an extraordinary atmosphere. Strolling through the house, from the first entrance to the fourth entrance, there are small gardens distributed on both sides of the courtyard, with rockeries, flowers, and various layout styles, intricately designed.

The entire Lu Mansion is exquisitely constructed and luxurious. There were nine buildings and over 200 rooms in the original front and back.

Entering the Yi Gate, there is a viewing room. There are two halls behind the viewing room, the front hall is the main hall, and the back hall is the second hall, both with a width of seven rooms. Among them, three rooms are the main hall, and both sides are used for reception and reading.

The gatehouse, residential building, Yiyuan, and library in Lushi Garden are well preserved original buildings. Behind the house is the Yi Garden of Lu's Garden. In the southwest, there is a pavilion, and in the north of the garden, there is an old pavilion called 'Water Breeze', which is quaint and desolate under the shade of green trees.

Individual Garden

If there is a garden that can be summarized in just one word, it must be 'a garden'

If we don't look at the word 'ge' as a preposition and only consider its shape. Do you feel like something?
The shape of the bamboo leaf, resembling a bamboo leaf, is also the basic brushwork of bamboo in Chinese ink painting. Plus, the owner loves bamboo, so it's easy to understand why it's called 'Geyuan'.

In China, bamboo is a remarkable cultural symbol. It is full of positive energy, such as fearlessness of adversity, fearlessness of hardship, communication between the central and the external, and perseverance. Whether it is the Four Gentlemen 'plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum' or the Three Friends' plum, pine, and bamboo ', bamboo is simply a tower of Chinese literary and artistic youth~
I once read an essay called "A Garden Talk about Bamboo", which was written beautifully: "The bamboo is lush green, standing tall and graceful, and even its shadow is so charming that it makes people lose their beauty
It really captures the beauty of bamboo. Due to the influence of Zheng Banqiao, poetry, painting, and gardens, this "bamboo" has been played and rubbed by literary and artistic figures, becoming a representative of Yangzhou's famous landmarks. The beauty of bamboo's form and spirit blends seamlessly with the cultural and artistic temperament of Yangzhou city, truly elegant.

Looking at each garden, there are three distinct sections: the bamboo garden in the north, the rockery in the middle, and the architecture in the south. There are really not many gardens that can explain the structure in one sentence~

The west gate of my garden is located in a small alleyway, with several clusters of green bamboo covering the full moon cave gate. It instantly brings people into an artistic conception. The courtyard is not large, with several rockeries and buildings, but every step has its own scenery and meaning. Spring, summer, autumn, and winter condense in the stone peaks and water valleys, and comfortable and comfortable are revealed in the pavilions and buildings. Beauty lies in its small size and exquisite design.

There is a Baoshan Tower in the garden, with a plaque hanging above that reads' Hutian Zichun '. The phrase 'Hutian Zichun' is taken from the book 'Geyuan Ji', which states that 'the Hutian Zichun is built with its eyes and heart, and the dust and horses rest without leaving the house.' Its meaning is that although the space of the Geyuan is not as large as the famous mountains and rivers, its scenery is a paradise on earth.

In addition to the bamboo forest, another dominant plant in the garden is the maple forest, where the four season maple is planted. Even in spring, it is in full bloom. The autumn mountain east of Baoshan Tower is magnificent and most picturesque, which should be considered as the essence of the four landscapes.

Skinny West Lake

The taxi driver in Yangzhou said that half of the annual tourist volume in Yangzhou comes in spring. Who told Li Bai that when he embroidered his mouth, the phrase 'Fireworks go down to Yangzhou in March' became an unparalleled advertising slogan that could no longer be surpassed, causing people to be bewitched. As soon as it was this spring season, before they could even move, their hearts had already gone to Yangzhou.
We can't shift all the blame onto Li Taibai. Yangzhou in spring is really beautiful, it's like the misty waves of thousands of miles and the rippling spring tide. Walking slowly along the moat from Shita Temple, peach and plum blossoms bloom on the shore in spring, new willows spit goose yellow, and the spring breeze still feels a bit cool on the face. Keep walking like this until you reach Shouxi Lake, where you can take a walk along the lake and enjoy the scenery. This kind of Yangzhou is enough to satisfy your imagination of an ancient Jiangnan spring day.

There is an ancient saying that goes: "The flowers and willows on both sides of the river are all by the water, all the way to the mountains." It is referring to the Slender West Lake in Yangzhou.
During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Shouxi Lake in Yangzhou was hailed as the "saint of gardens, unparalleled in the world".

Along the lakeside, we first walked up to Wuting Bridge. If Shouxi Lake is compared to a graceful and charming girl, then Wuting Bridge is the gorgeous belt on the girl's body. Standing on Wuting Bridge and looking east, the distant lake scenery is a typical Jiangnan landscape.

On both sides of the lake, with a few steps and a willow tree, it is as gentle and charming as green mist, and feels even more graceful and elegant, with a myriad of poetic and picturesque feelings all within it.

The fishing platform in the center of the lake has a quiet and unique pavilion, where silk and bamboo instruments are played.
Legend has it that Emperor Qianlong visited here and somehow developed an interest in fishing, and someone immediately sent a fishing rod.
But the fish in Shouxi Lake are not obedient. Emperor Qianlong, who usually responds to calls, has been fishing for half a day, but not a single fish has taken the bait. The accompanying Yangzhou salt merchant became anxious and immediately secretly selected several sailors with good water properties to dive underwater with live fish. Holding lotus leaves and relying on their stems for ventilation. As soon as the Qianlong fishing rod on top fell, the live fish below was hooked. Now Emperor Qianlong was naturally delighted with the dragon's heart.

The poetic and picturesque charm of Shouxi Lake lies not only in its picturesque scenery, but also in its ethereal temperament. Compared to West Lake in Hangzhou, Slender West Lake in Yangzhou has a slender and graceful charm - endless flowing brocade belts, endless cascading willows, and endless scenic gardens.

This kind of charm itself is also a temperament of Shouxi Lake. Here, there is no need to search for the footprints of history, as long as you stand here, you will blend into this antique painting.

At the northernmost end of Shouxi Lake stands the Qiling Pagoda of Daming Temple. From the tower, one can see a long and low hill to the north;
To the south, there is the shimmering Slender West Lake, with pavilions and terraces complementing each other, trees and trees leaning against each other, and painted boats sailing back and forth;
To the east is Guanyin Mountain, and the Guanyin Temple lies quietly on the mountain, with continuous incense burning; The Royal Imperial Garden West Garden Fangpu is located to the west of the Qiling Pagoda.
Nearby is a garden with dense trees, in the distance is a city with uneven buildings, and even further away is the beautiful Jiangnan with "the river as a green snail belt and the mountains as green jade hairpins".
This beautiful scenery is irresistible even to famous Tang Dynasty poets such as Li Bai, Bai Juyi, and Liu Yuxi.

The pagoda overlooks the vast sky, climbing and exploring the four wastelands.
Peak high and merge with qi, mark the length of sea clouds.

Yangzhou Dual Museum

That year, on the banks of the Yellow River Tower, ancient people bid farewell to the west, and in March, the willow catkins in Yangzhou were like smoke and the flowers were blooming like brocade.
That year, talented people were not encountered and indulged in debauchery, and the romantic Yangzhou was like a dream, a dream that lasted for ten years.
That year, with golden spears, iron horses, and wolves and smoke rising everywhere, the lives and spirits of Yangzhou, ravaged by the flames of war, were unbearable to look back on.
Thousands of years ago, Yangzhou had too many beautiful scenery and too many stories,
And thousands of years later, where else can we pursue these stories besides words?
Perhaps it's this Yangzhou Twin Museum!!!
The Yangzhou Dual Museum is composed of the Yangzhou Chinese Woodblock Printing Museum and the Yangzhou Museum New Building, hence it is commonly referred to as the "Yangzhou Dual Museum".
There are many highlights in the Shuangbo Museum, and the Woodblock Printing Museum displays over tens of thousands of ancient woodblocks. This reflects the historical evolution of Chinese woodblock printing and its impact on the history of world printing.
The Guangling Tide - Yangzhou City Story Hall depicts a magnificent picture of ancient southern Chinese history, from the Han Dynasty's Guangling City, to the prosperous Yangzhou City of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and then to the prosperous Yangzhou City of the beacon fire.
However, the most important treasure of the town hall is still the Yuan Ji blue glazed white dragon patterned plum vase.

The treasure of Yangzhou Shuangbo Museum is a Yuan Dynasty plum vase, whose full name is "Yuan Ji Blue Glazed White Dragon Pattern Plum Vase". This plum vase belongs to the large objects of blue glazed porcelain in Jingdezhen kiln during the Yuan Dynasty. It has a beautiful shape, with a white dragon surrounding the body of the vase, which has a strong artistic appeal and reflects the highest level of firing in Jingdezhen kiln during the Yuan Dynasty.
There are currently only three surviving Yuan Dynasty plum vases of this kind. One is in the Summer Palace in Beijing, but there are cracks on the bottle body; One item is at the Jimei Museum in Paris, but there was a flaw in the bottle's faucet during the refining process; Only Yangzhou is the most perfect and the bottle is also the largest, making it a rare national treasure level cultural relic.

Let's see where to eat again

Quyuan Tea House

Quyuan was originally the residence of an old salt merchant. It is said that Emperor Qianlong visited here four times during his six visits to Jiangnan and gave it the name "Quyuan". Nowadays, it has been transformed into a tea house open to the public and still exudes unique charm in the long river of history.

Four Bridges of Misty Rain, Yellow Moon Crossing Spring Waves with Brocade Mirrors ", leaning against the window of the Four Bridges of Misty Rain Tower," The spring silently cherishes the fine flow, the tree shade shines on the water and loves the clear and gentle ", the water of the Slender West Lake slowly flows under the green shade. You really can't imagine what kind of delicious scenery it would be to deserve such a unique scenery. To enjoy delicious food in such an elegant garden, the first thing to eat is scenery, followed by emotions, and finally the food itself.

Quyuan was originally the residence of a salt merchant. During Emperor Qianlong's sixth visit to Yangzhou, he stopped here four times and personally inscribed "Quyuan" with his pen, which gave rise to the legend of "Quyuan". During the Daoguang period, the salt law reform led to the downfall of many salt merchants, and many gardens were converted into tea houses. More and more ordinary people began to enjoy morning tea.

The existing four bridges, Yanyu Tower, Conggui Pavilion, and Chengbi Tower, have been restored to create a charming garden that harmonizes the pavilions, towers, and mountains of the Shouxi Lake Scenic Area.

Until now, the courtyard still retains the two characters "Quyuan" personally inscribed by Emperor Qianlong. The environment of Quyuan can be said to fully showcase the antique charm of Jiangnan gardens. The pavilions, towers, mountains and rocks in the courtyard are arranged in a staggered manner, and you can enjoy the scenery while tasting delicious food.

Dining here has a unique charm accumulated over time, not only stunning our taste buds, but also allowing us to travel through time.

When you arrive at Quyuan, looking at the dazzling menu, if you don't know what to order, you can listen to a popular rhyme from Yangzhou: "When I wake up in the morning, the sun is already high, and I feel a surge of excitement in my heart. I visited Quyuan Tea House. I mixed dried silk, flavored cake, crab shell yellow, thousand layer cake, jadeite shaomai, three ding bao; Yangchun noodles, crispy shaoshao, and the aroma of green poplar tea leaves wafted

Shrimp seed Yangchun noodles are handmade noodles with a moderate thickness, elasticity, and smoothness. With the shrimp seeds bursting in the mouth, the taste is extremely rich.

Shuangma Crispy Cake is made with carefully selected peeled sesame seeds and a filling of white sugar and sesame paste. It has a crispy skin and a crispy heart, hence the name "Shuangma Crispy".

Thousand layer oil cake is a famous traditional snack in Yangzhou city. The pastry is not oily, and it is layered and highly layered when eaten. Sugar infects with a warm, sweet, and gentle taste, and the combination of the two creates a rich and mellow flavor.

There are countless famous snacks in Quyuan, and even more delicious ones can be found in the store. However, Quyuan is very popular, and the morning tea often starts queuing from 7am. Friends who want to check in should remember to come early.
However, there is a friendly reminder that if you are a friend who is not fond of spicy food, do not have too high expectations when coming to Quyuan Tea House. The sweet and bland taste may make you feel that getting up early and queuing up is not worth it. It is better to go to Garden Tea House and have a crab roe soup bun to satisfy yourself.

Dongguan Street

As an ancient city of Yangzhou with a history of 2500 years, the prosperity of Dongguan Street since the Sui and Tang dynasties has been synchronized with the rise and fall of Yangzhou city.
Starting from Guoqing Road in the west and ending at the ancient canal in the east, although the total length is only 1122 meters, this old street almost encompasses all the essence of Yangzhou, with the most prominent being the renowned Yangzhou cuisine culture.

We gazed from a distance and saw the towering Dongguan City Tower firmly nestled in the warm embrace of the ancient city. The leaden gray clouds were distant and solemn, making the Dongguan City Tower even more dazzling. The dim lights of Dongguan Street stretch endlessly, guiding people to pursue the generations of Yangzhou people who will eat and live on that famous old street. What kind of cuisine will they offer to entertain everyone?

Dongguan Street, where food culture accumulates, has an ancient and vivid existence that has transformed and sublimated food from form to content. It restores the long historical charm recorded in the old street, and the taste of a certain food has evolved into a beautiful memory of life that has been awakened again after the vicissitudes of time.

Many Yangzhou residents living in the old city area are accustomed to walking into Dongguan Street from the west end. There are many flavors that have been polished over time and filled with warmth, all of which have settled here. The places worth visiting are the time-honored brands, such as the spice shop, Pickled vegetables shop, tea shop, and so on. Each old shop, after time testing, presents its essence.

When passing through the bustling crowd, you can always notice various old shops, like many puzzles of different colors and styles, pieced together to create a miniature of Yangzhou that is both traditional and modern, prosperous and simple.

”Coarse tea and plain food "is the most worthwhile old brand on Dongguan Street. This brand has a low positioning and a narrow and low-key storefront, but it is always crowded with people queuing up.
Standing outside the store, you can see two buckets of lotus root starch that are about to overflow, making your mouth water. Sprinkle white sugar and osmanthus honey on the spot, and before the bowl is even settled, the sweet fragrance spreads out.

Even if I really have to wait for half an hour, I am willing to wait for this lotus root powder round. It is only when I eat it that I feel a little worried. The sweetness of lotus root powder round is that fresh and not cloying. The taste of the outer skin is unusual. It retains the tenacity of glutinous rice and is soft as jelly. The filling is sweet, like the rich taste of chocolate. It is definitely not comparable to the ordinary rice dumpling.

And the soup is osmanthus and lotus root soup, with a particularly sweet taste. The boss also provides ice cubes. If it's summer, drinking three bowls won't be too much, and the fragrant sweetness will make those queuing outside the door drool.

If you think the sweet taste is too monotonous, you can also have a fried glutinous rice Taiwanese Meatballs or Yangzhou fried rice to fill your stomach.

Garden Tea House

If you are a baozi enthusiast, then this garden tea house is definitely worth a try. This is the world of baozi.
Popular Three Ding Bun, consisting of diced chicken, diced meat, and diced bamboo shoots. The ingredients are soft and juicy, and the meat filling is pure and beautiful. Combined with the crispy and tender texture of the diced bamboo shoots, it gives you a multi-layered taste.
A more luxurious five piece bag, with additional sea cucumber cubes and shrimp cubes added to give you more freshness.
Bean product enthusiasts must order tofu skin bags. The tofu skin filling inside is soft, tough, and flavorful, and the more you chew, the more fragrant it becomes. Make you taste meat out of thin air.
However, the most classic one is the crab roe soup bun, which is filled with crab roe and crab meat, and the soup is original chicken soup. The production process is exquisite, and the skin is as thin as paper. When lightly taken, the mouth is full of fresh fragrance.

Wrapped in the dough with 32 folds, the water chestnut drum and carp mouth make one's appetite surge just by looking at them.

Songzi Shaomai, bean curd bag, shrimp Steamed dumplings, all kinds of steamed products emerge in endlessly.

Paired with steamed buns, there is also waist soup and boiled shredded pork, which are delicious and fragrant.

Jiangjiaqiao Dumpling Noodle Shop

This old shop is located at the east entrance of the famous Dongguan Street in Yangzhou, very close to scenic spots such as Geyuan. The storefront is large and the sign is very eye-catching. During breakfast, the shop is crowded with people, including many locals. The kitchen in the room is visible through the glass, with various large pots and stoves, so the hall is steaming hot. Although it's early spring, I sweat a little when eating.

Dumpling noodles are the signature of this shop. Traditional dumpling noodles in Yangzhou must use jumping noodles, which are made by manual jumping and pressing. These alkaline noodles are smooth, refreshing, soft and flavorful, unique to Yangzhou. The shrimp grains used are plump. Satisfying the most common living needs of Yangzhou residents and tourists from all over the country, it is known as the "first Weiyang snack".

In addition to dumpling noodles, the Potsticker in Jiangjiaqiao Dumpling Noodle Restaurant are also a must. Don't miss them.

Huaiyang Cuisine

Huaiyang Cuisine now stands out in the world and can be called the representative of Chinese food lofts, not only because it has both taste and aesthetics, but also because it is a top-down, seemingly consistent local feature. Huaiyang Cuisine can capture the hearts of the people by going up to the halls and down to the streets, not by seizing the city to stimulate the taste, but by the most palatable and sweet way.

The 7 eat 8 bar, which was once on the variety show "Every Day Upward", is the Huaiyang Cuisine restaurant I recommend this time. With this confusing name, it also runs beer bars, which makes people feel somewhat unprofessional. I was curious to ask the waiter about the origin of the name, but I also don't know it. However, what supported my choice of it was the strong recommendation of local friends in Yangzhou, as well as the fact that it belongs to the Yangcheng Yiwei Group along with Quyuan Tea House. In theory, the dishes should not be too bad.
When I opened the menu, the price was medium and high. In order to take care of my pocket, I didn't dare to feel a little confused like I did in Dongguan Street, so I chose several representatives of Huaiyang Cuisine. The taste was much better than the famous Lion House.

Hot dried silk

Saltwater Goose

Lion's Head

Wensi Tofu Soup

Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs

Yangzhou fried rice

Conclusion

Once upon a time, Yangzhou was bustling like a dream, with literati and poets all lingering here, reluctant to leave, leaving behind a few poems. As a result, Yangzhou became the cinnabar mole on the chest of many people and the white moonlight in their hearts.

Nowadays, people love Yangzhou and its retro beauty, as well as its comfortable and slow pace. Perhaps there was a time when one could flaunt oneself recklessly and indulge in all sorts of tricks, even if time suddenly changed, it could no longer change the gene of "drinking today and getting drunk today" in the bones of this city.
The leisure that everyone envies is not the superficial relaxation of Yangzhou people, but the motto 'Life is all about pleasure'.
Standing in today's Yangzhou city and looking back, those intangible past riches may not need to be remembered, time will always give the answer.
