Yangzhou East Station is not large, with only one entrance and exit. There is a row of bus terminals at the exit, making transportation very convenient. The unit price is 2 yuan. At the entrance is the Ten Mile Spring Breeze Road and the March Fireworks Road. The river next to the high-speed railway station is not the Yangtze River, nor the Grand Canal!

The long Wenchang Road runs through the entire city of Yangzhou, connecting East Station and Yangzhou Station

Day 1 Standard Tourist Tour: Heyuan - Er Fen Mingyue Tower (optional) - Pishi Street - Dongguan Street, walk until your legs are weak

In Yangzhou, the unavoidable plot of the Grand Canal and the unavoidable emotions of the "Heroes of Sui and Tang Dynasties" make it the perfect place to stay at the ancient ferry crossing at Dongguan by the Grand Canal.

The bus arrived at Dongguan Gudu, with a sea of people and tour groups gathering, and severe traffic congestion. It is quite puzzling that the traffic lights at the intersection, which connects the gates of two popular tourist attractions, are only open on weekends during the day, and the rest of the time they cross the road based on their abilities.

After entering the Meiju Hotel, it exudes a completely otherworldly atmosphere. The waiters are very polite, and whether it's the security guard, auntie, or restaurant staff, they greet each other warmly and down-to-earth.

There is no swimming pool, and there is a pool of water outdoors in a narrow residential building.

Mini children's playgrounds are also very popular

The Zhenghe River View rooms are all king size rooms, and our room can see a corner of the Grand Canal. Compared to free minbars and mineral water drinks, the expensive freshly ground coffee machine in the lobby is a bit stingy, but it's okay, checking in at local niche cafes is also my pleasure. Overall, apart from the small room, there are no other issues.

Meiju has an excellent geographical location, 2-3 kilometers away from Shouxi Lake, Geyuan, Heyuan, and Wenchang Pavilion. I once wanted to ride in Yangzhou city, but unfortunately found that public bicycles are rare products in Yangzhou. There are many public electric scooters, but unfortunately we don't know how to drive them. We take 14000+steps every day...

At noon, I had lunch at the nearby Biyuan. The decoration looked grand, the price was not expensive, the taste was good, and there was no need to queue up for the meal.

The ancient canal near Heyuan, known as the "Canal Thousand Mile Qionghua Road"

As one of the top 3 scenic spots in Yangzhou, it is very popular, with many individual and group tours. A typical private garden in Jiangnan, if there are few people, please explain if it is suitable! I finished browsing in less than half an hour with the big stream, but Yang carefully examined it and only came out in 2 hours. He Yuan is also the filming location for "Marrying the Right Husband in the Wrong Sedan"

You can also enjoy peonies in Yangzhou without going to Luoyang. In spring in Yangzhou, there are more people than flowers!

Western style buildings in He Yuan

I accidentally bumped into this quiet alley while searching for WC

There are also cafes in the alley. Adjacent to Heyuan, it is also fully booked on weekends and there are not many seats available.

Fortunately, there is an open space outside the door for me to sit and rest my legs while scrolling through my phone. A latte priced at 30 yuan per cup is considered high consumption in Yangzhou, and its value lies in its tranquility.

When I swiped my mobile phone, I found the Yueming Building. "On a moonlit night in March, the second scoundrel is Yangzhou". It was only more than 200 meters away from the coffee shop. I had an appointment with Yang. Attention: The alleys displayed on the map, even XX Road, are actually small alleys in Yangzhou where cars are not allowed and only 1-2 people can walk in parallel.

Students who want to go to Yueming Building, please remember this sign, and remember to turn right instead of going straight. At first, I didn't pay attention and thought that the roads on the map were always normal, but as I walked further and further away, it was endless.

Although the alley is small, there are many electric scooters coming and going, and the speed is not slow. Be sure to pay attention to safety.

The door of Yueming Building is very small. I remember the roast duck restaurant next door. The park is closed at night! No moon to look at!

Yueming Tower is a super mini garden completely confused by ancient poems. What you see is what you get. It's just so big. Free, with very few people, suitable for taking vintage wedding photos. You can come along the way between Heyuan and Pishi Street without having to come specifically.

Guangling Street, full of the flavor of ancient county towns, is a bustling and authentic street where people and vehicles mix together.

Pishi Street is a popular street that combines internet celebrities, trends, and antique styles. There are many people, but it's not a pedestrian street. Electric scooters come and go in a constant stream at a fast speed, which is quite dangerous. The same goes for Dongguan Street, which has a denser flow of people. I don't know what people who drive electric scooters here are thinking. With so many people, it's not pleasant to drive.

There are many cafes and beverage shops on Pishi Street, but there are really no ones for dinner. Yangzhou Slow Cultural and Creative Store

At night, Dongguan Street is crowded with people, and the same goes for the morning on weekdays the next day

Day 2's impromptu City walk is full of bad things

Renfengli (not to go) - XiaoQinhuai River (passing by) - Jiaochang (planted with grass, but very ordinary) - Siwang Pavilion/Wenchang Pavilion - Lvyang Hotel (Guoqing Road, Ganquan Road) - Shangfang Jiewa Drinking Coffee on Dongguan Street

We both appreciate the experience of waking up at 5:30, getting our phone number at 7, and only having morning tea between 8-9. Hotel breakfast pastry, steamed buns are produced by Garden Tea House, allowing you to experience Yangzhou morning tea without leaving your home. At around 8am on a weekday, I had to queue up at the breakfast restaurant. It was the first time I had encountered so many people at the breakfast restaurant on a weekday.

Yangchun noodles and shrimp Wonton are very delicious, but they are too salty. They were eaten after adding mineral water. No wonder there are so many salt merchants in Yangzhou.

Yang went to a park in the morning and strolled around for more than 2 hours. On weekdays, there were also crowds of people, except for a bit quiet at noon.

I had a sudden idea to take a city walk and go to a bunch of small alleys that don't need to be specifically visited.

Renfengli, a small and fresh alley built according to Pishi Street, has a low-key entrance and a narrow alley with very few people. After walking for a while, I didn't find it interesting and turned around to go to the teaching field

Passing by the Little Qinhuai River, it is much narrower than the Great Qinhuai River, surrounded by indigenous people, with a hint of the spring scenery of Jiangnan.

Mini Garden at Wenchang Intersection

Wenchang Ge is a 400-500m walk away from the teaching center, with one stop by bus. But the bus stop is still 200-300 meters away from Wenchangge, and across from Wenchangge bus stop is Siwang Pavilion. Next to Siwang Pavilion is the famous Yiyuan Morning Tea Society.

I unexpectedly discovered a shared bicycle near Siwang Pavilion, but I couldn't ride it anymore. I took a taxi to Green Yang Hotel on Guoqing Road and passed by the iconic landscape of Wenchang Pavilion Yangzhou.

12 years ago, I also took a taxi from a hotel specifically to visit Wenchang Pavilion.

I personally prefer the city walk on Guoqing Road and Ganquan Road, which gives me a sense of time travel through the county towns of the 1980s and 1990s.

Students who want to go to the Green Yang Hotel for nostalgia, please remember this roasted goose stall at the entrance of the alley. The bus stop at the entrance is called the Green Yang Hotel Station, which shows that it has left a significant mark in history. Please note that motor vehicles can only travel in one direction from north to south on Guoqing Road/Dujiang Road.

The hotels that have now closed are attracting a continuous stream of nostalgic individual guests.

Walk out along this alley and turn left to reach Ganquan Road. It feels like time has come to a standstill.

Here is Yangzhou N Chun's "Gonghe Chun". Apart from the support of old brands, it is a regular community catering restaurant. There is no need to queue for lunch, but you have to share tables. The price is cheap, the environment is noisy, and Yangzhou's signature dishes are all available. The taste is decent. If you pass by, you can try old brands. Gonghe Chun has many branches in Yangzhou.

Dongguan Street at noon

In the afternoon, I met up with Yang at Guanxiang, a branch alley of Dongguan Street. This slightly wider alley now looks like a caf é street. We chose to open the roof and drink coffee.

On weekday afternoons, we booked a small terrace. The shop has a separate restroom and bakes beans themselves, and the price is reasonable in the scenic area. At this moment, I truly experienced the slowness of Yangzhou.

Next door is Qionghua Temple, which blooms from April to May and resembles a smaller white embroidered ball.

The main entrance of Qionghua Temple is on Wenchang Road, where tickets are collected. It's not the flowering period, we didn't go in.

Yechun has a store at Yangzhou East Station that supports 12306 advance ordering. Students who cannot experience it in the city can also experience it at the train station. There are few people, and it is said that the serving time is also very slow, so they need to leave enough time.

2011 & 2023, second brush Yangzhou city. The spring breeze is ten miles away from Yangzhou Road, and the ten mile spring breeze is not as good as you.
