The ancient city of Yangzhou, which has been yearning for for a long time, finally made a tour during the March fireworks season.
After arriving at Yangtai Airport at noon on the first day, I was not in a hurry to enter the city. Instead, I chartered a car to Luyang Lake Wetland Park located in Shaobo Town, Jiangdu District. More than half an hour later, I arrived at the park. The entrance fee was 10 yuan. Most of the park were straight metasequoia trees, like neat pairs of private soldiers, which were a little distinctive. However, it is not as beautiful as the "Wizard of Oz" on Douyin. It may be related to the season and weather.
Luyang Lake is a good place to take photos and attracts many beautiful women to take photos here. The lake is bright and the water is water, and the people are rowing. The picture is indeed beautiful.
The park is not big, so in less than an hour, I immediately arrived at Yangzhou City, where I was thinking about it.
After putting down your luggage at the hotel, immediately head to the second destination of this trip-Liuwei Lighthouse.
The lighthouse is located at the Yangtze River estuary at Liuwei, the Yangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, and is the intersection of the Grand Canal and the Yangtze River. I originally wanted to come here to take pictures of the sunset, but unfortunately the sky was gloomy that day and I couldn't climb the tower. However, looking from the shore and watching the surging canals and rolling Yangtze River converge, carrying giant cargo ships rushing away,"the lone sail shadows the blue sky in the distance" is still quite spectacular.
On the shore, I also happened to meet several couples who came here to take wedding photos, giving the gray dusk a few warm colors.
It was already dark after leaving the park and returning to the city. After dinner, we took a stroll along the road to Siwang Pavilion, Wenchang Pavilion and Renfengli to experience the night of the ancient city.
Early the next morning, I rode a shared electric bike to Gonghe Spring, one of Yangzhou's century-old brands,"Three Gardens and Three Spring", to taste the famous Yangzhou morning tea.
"Wrap water in the morning and wrap water in the evening" vividly describes the living conditions of Yangzhou people. "Baoshui" refers to Yangzhou morning tea culture.
After a taste, you can summarize it in four words: delicious and not expensive.
After eating Yangzhou's specialty morning tea, we started our day's trip. The first stop first comes to the Erfenmingyue Building on Guangling Road, not far from Gonghe Chun.
The Erfen Mingyue Tower was built in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. It is named after the famous poem "The world is three-point bright moon night, and the two-point scoundrel is Yangzhou." It is a private garden with landscape buildings. Although the area is not large, it is full of connotation through the interweaving of moonlight, mountains, water, tree shadows, pavilions, and leaked windows. Among the beautiful scenery of pavilions and pavilions, what is particularly prominent is the various colorful moon bridges, moon doors, and moon windows, which make this small and exquisite garden closely follow the word "moon", giving people an endless appreciation of the moonlight, the moon, the moon.
Warm reminder, Erfen Mingyue Tower is hidden in the downtown area, and its facade is inconspicuous, but there is a unique place after entering.
Coming out of Erfen Mingyue Tower and walking along Guoqing Road towards Dongguan Street, you can experience the cultural features of the thousand-year-old city.
Walking to the intersection of Jiangjiaqiao Dumpling Noodle Shop on Guoqing Road is Dongguan Street, the most representative historical street in Yangzhou City. It runs along the ancient canal in the east and Guoqing Road in the west. It used to be not only a hub for land and water transportation in Yangzhou, but also a center for commerce, handicrafts and religious culture. Nowadays, the streets are crowded with people and are very lively.
In addition to shopping and eating on Dongguan Street, Geyuan, known as one of China's "four famous gardens", is a must-visit place.
Geyuan is a private garden of Yangzhou salt merchants 'residences in the Qing Dynasty. It is famous for its planting of green bamboos and its rockery in spring, summer, autumn and winter. It has won the titles of the third batch of "National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units" and the "First Batch of National Key Parks" and enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad.
When you come out of Geyuan, continue to walk east along Dongguan Street. After you exit the city gate and cross the road, you will find the Dongguan Ancient Ferry.
Traveling south along the ancient canal, we come to Anle Lane and visit Zhu Ziqing's former residence.
Coming out of Zhu Ziqing's former residence, passing through Pishi Street, we arrived at He Garden, known as the "First Garden in the Late Qing Dynasty".
He Garden, also known as "Jixiao Mountain Villa", is a representative work of Yangzhou gardens in the late Qing Dynasty and a national key cultural relic protection unit.
It was late when He Yuan came out, and it was time to "recharge" his stomach. When you come to Yangzhou, you must try the well-known Yangzhou fried rice. This Xiao Wu Egg Fried Rice tastes good!
After dinner, return to Dongguan Ancient Ferry and board the boat to enjoy the night view of the canal.
Boarding the boat and ashore, rode a shared electric bike to Yongning Spring, which passed by during the day, to experience the "water-wrapped" life of Yangzhou people at night, and also to relieve the tiredness of a day's walking.
Early on the third day, the "main course" of this Yangzhou trip arrived-Slender West Lake.
Came out of the west gate of Slender West Lake and continued to ride a shared electric bike to Daming Temple.
Many strategies say that Daming Temple is not far from the north gate of Slender West Lake, and it is enough to walk. I don't think this statement is accurate. First of all, it is a long journey from the core scenic area of Slender West Lake to the North Gate. Although there are scenery along the way, it is not eye-catching, and 80% of tourists will not go. Secondly, walking from the North Gate to Daming Temple is a mountain road, which is quite time-consuming and laborious, especially for the elderly and children. It saves time and effort for me to ride from the West Gate, but it is not the best choice, because there is no shared electric vehicle parking spot in front of the temple, so I still have to walk a long way up the mountain to park at the foot of the mountain. The most convenient way is to take a taxi out of the West Gate. The fare is a few yuan. It takes a few minutes to reach Shansi Crossing. It is not far away from walking.
Walking north from Daming Temple, you will reach Jianzhen Road for about 10 minutes, which is also the Cherry Blossom Avenue where Internet celebrities check in.
On the morning of the fourth day, stroll around the old streets and alleys of Yangzhou to experience the historical vicissitudes and cultural heritage of this thousand-year-old city.
From the Xiaodongmen Bridge on Ganquan Road in the Old City to the Xiaoqinhuai River, this is a small river that has witnessed the rise and fall of the ancient city of Yangzhou. However, almost all the introductions about Yangzhou tourist attractions have not been mentioned, but it gave me a surprise surprise.
Follow the Xiaoqinhuai River, walk through Nanliu Lane and Beiliu Lane, and come to Caiyi Street.
This is an old street built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, because at that time, the street was full of garment bureaus, large and small, covering all clothes from low-end to high-end. High-ranking officials and ordinary people came to this street to cut clothes, hence the name "Tailored Clothing Street", which gradually evolved into "Colorful Clothing Street" over time.
Today's highlight is to visit the China Grand Canal Museum to learn about the past and present life of this world cultural heritage and appreciate the local customs and customs on both sides of the canal.
After the visit to the China Grand Canal Museum, the four-day trip to Yangzhou is coming to an end.
As a thousand-year-old city, although it is just a cursory visit, you can also deeply feel its profound historical heritage.
Four days are not enough to appreciate the beauty of Yangzhou; and the beauty of Yangzhou is not only in March, but also in the four seasons.
Four-day itinerary:
D1: The plane arrives at noon-Luyang Lake-Liuwei Lighthouse-Siwang Pavilion-Wenchang Pavilion-Renfengli-Ganquan Old Street
