Cultural and entertainment tours
Lao Qian has an incisive exposition on happiness: "Happiness in life is like a sugar cube that lures children to take medicine, or more like an electric rabbit that lures dogs to race in a dog farm. A few minutes or days of happiness makes us live a lifetime and endure a lot of pain. We hope it will come, we hope it will stay, and we hope it will come again."
Travel is the rabbit I chase, the source of my happiness, and the book I walk on. More than 20 years of vocational training have cultivated my planning and organizational skills. I use it to search for information and design itineraries. This is one joy; Walking on the road, watching the flowers blooming and sunset, rolling clouds and relaxing clouds, tasting delicious food and delicacies, and observing local customs are the second joy; When I get home, I write down what I saw and heard, reminisce about the beautiful and exquisite things, and share it with others. This is the third joy.
First trip to Yangzhou
Ye You takes you to Yangzhou
Ye You, a legal officer in a foreign company for 20 years. I love reading and I love travel. I have only an interesting soul (myself) in my life. After experiencing changes in the world, I share my travel strategies with everyone. May travel also become a comfort in your life. Food and scenery can heal sadness and confusion.
If you are busy with work or housework and have no time to do strategies, you can follow my trajectory. I am confident that you can appreciate the profound beauty of China better than most tourists. Food is difficult to adjust, and travel is a personalized choice. I like to travel slowly, calm down and carefully search for the beauty of a city, appreciate the culture of a city, and even watch people coming and going in the cafe on the corner of the street. Check-in travel is like potato chips or sandwiches, just a meal. For me, real tourism is thinking, exploration, taste, and absorption. It is an broadening of horizons, rich knowledge, and growth of experience. If there is the help of delicious food during this period, it is also the happiness in the world.
There are many quotes in this article from Ctrip and online articles. If you are busy, you can only read the first four pages.
Itinerary: Depart from Qingpu, Shanghai on Saturday morning, arrive at the hotel after lunch. Return to Shanghai on Tuesday afternoon.
The following is my personal travel route for reference.
Two-day tour of Yangzhou (since there are only two days, I suggest having more luxurious accommodation and a more compact itinerary):
Day 1: Slender West Lake-Daming Temple (including Pingshantang), you can still have the energy to visit Dongguan Street and its nearby ancient alleys at night
Food: Yangzhou Banquet (The dining environment is okay, there are performances such as pingtan, and the food tastes good)
Accommodation: Guesthouse (I have never stayed in it, but the Ctrip website reviews are good, and in the Slender West Lake Scenic Area, the online reviews have a big difference in the facilities of the old and new buildings, so pay attention to choose according to your own needs.)
Food: Guesthouse Restaurant, Mountain. restaurant
Day 2:
Geyuan (online sign opens at 7;30)-Heyuan-Grand Canal Museum (opens at 10:00)(You can visit Geyuan and Heyuan, don't miss the Canal Museum, but you must make an appointment in advance, otherwise you may not be able to enter the museum that day)
Food: Huyuan cuisine (It seems to be close to Geyuan, so you can adjust the order appropriately according to the time. Huyuan is also a more authentic home-cooked Huaiyang dish. The price is reasonable, but it is not worth queuing or taking a detour)
Three-day tour of Yangzhou
Day 1:
Food: Yangzhou Banquet
Slender West Lake (cruise ship)-Dongguan Street (pedicure, there are many pedicure shops on Dongguan Street. The master's craftsmanship is good, but the environment is not good. Maybe there are better choices in other places) and its nearby ancient alleys
Food: Dahuaiyang (You can buy stewed vegetables and serve them in the restaurant with craft beer. If you pay attention to quality of life, don't order the set menu)
Accommodation: Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Center (if you give a Baduanjin course, it is recommended to try it)
Day 2:
Daming Temple (including Pingshan Hall)
Food: Huyuan Cuisine
Geyuan-He Yuan
Bathing and back rubbing (Yangzhou Back Rubbing Restaurant (flagship store), the price may be high, but since many customers are local, it may be a fair price in the market. I personally think it is still worth the money.) caier
Accommodation: Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Center
Day 3:
Grand Canal Museum (It is recommended to rent headphones and make an appointment in advance, otherwise you may not be able to enter the museum that day)
Four-day Tour in Yangzhou

Food: Dahuaiyang (You can buy stewed vegetables and serve them in the restaurant with craft beer. If you pay attention to quality of life, don't order the set menu)
Accommodation: Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Center/Daming Temple Fuhui Jingshe Hotel (I have never stayed there either, but Ctrip reviews are good. It seems that you can also copy scriptures in the temple, which may be cool.)
Day 2:
Daming Temple (including Pingshan Hall)
Food: Huyuan Cuisine
Geyuan-He Yuan
Bathing and back rubbing (Yangzhou Back Rubbing Restaurant (flagship store), the price may be high, but since many customers are local, it may be a fair price in the market. I personally think it is still worth the money.)
Accommodation: Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Center/Daming Temple Fuhui Jingshe Hotel
Day 3:
Grand Canal Museum (It is recommended to rent headphones and make an appointment in advance, otherwise you may not be able to enter the museum that day)
Shopping, shopping (lacquer ware, thread-bound books)
Cai 'er/Yangzhou Pingtan
Accommodation: Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Center/Daming Temple Fuhui Jingshe Hotel
the fourth day
Zhuyi Bay Scenic Area in Yangzhou City (Yangzhou City Zoo)(I have never been there)
I guess it's good to take children, the online reviews are good, and the animals are open and free-range, with beautiful scenery.
Yangzhou Museum·Yangzhou Chinese Engraving and Printing Museum (I have never been there)
Or consider visiting the attractions for the first three days and enjoying a loose itinerary.
If it's a five-day trip, I suggest visiting Gaoyou (I haven't been there yet) or Zhenjiang (the mountains are good, the food is good, the consumption is not high, and there are not many tourists)
The following is the itinerary of my four-day tour. Because it was my third time here, my itinerary was loose. I didn't visit Geyuan, Heyuan, Songjiacheng (I have been there before, but it is not very playable) and other attractions.
Dry goods:
Sort of attractions:
1. Slender West Lake (strongly recommended) usually enters from the south gate and travels all the way to the middle. We can see more than ten main attractions. We walk all the way to the north gate. Except for the essential scenic spots in the middle, there are not many scenery to watch in the north and can be ignored. Boating in the center of the lake is like a boat painting, leisurely swimming, and can also be used as a break after an hour or two.
2. China Grand Canal Museum (strongly promoted) is a modern science and technology museum. There is always one that suits you in history, culture, customs, and geographical vegetation. It is free, trendy, fun, and strongly promoted! You can bring some delicious food for lunch, and remember to rent headphones, otherwise you will miss out on too much beauty.
3. Daming Temple and Pingshantang (strongly recommended) How can people who love Ouyang Xiu and Su Shi miss it? Even if we are not householders, we can feel the lasting blessings of paying homage to Sakyamuni's relics. The Spirit Pagoda is also one of the highest points of Yangzhou. Let's feel "taking you to blow the wind".
4. Dongguan Street is the same "old street" in every city, but there are many alleys on both sides. If you want to taste the original flavor of old Yangzhou, you have to go to these alleys, drink a cup of green tea, chat, and chat about celebrity gossip near or far. There are many tricycles on the street (I rode on them when I came to Yangzhou two years ago). In my memory, they seem to be able to bargain. It's okay. They imitate Beijing's hutong tours, but the management training is not good, and the stories they tell are very perfunctory.
5. The Geyuan was built on the old garden of the Ming Dynasty by a certain "Lianghuai Salt General" in the Qing Dynasty. Green bamboos are planted all over the garden. Because the bamboo leaves are shaped like the word "ge", it is named "ge" garden. The four-season rockery in the garden is very distinctive. Visiting the garden for a week seems to have experienced spring, summer, autumn and winter."- I feel like Ctrip is similar to Suzhou Gardens. I have been here twice, but I don't have much impression. As a well-known tourist attraction, you can still visit it.
6. He Garden "He Garden is a private garden built during the Guangxu period. He Garden has the reputation of "the first garden in the late Qing Dynasty". The buildings in the garden combine Chinese and Western, and are connected by complex corridors. The layout is full of layers."- One of the Jiangnan gardens of Ctrip.
7. Songjiacheng came here two years ago. It is a newly built large park. It is not recommended.
Restaurant recommendations:
Yechun Tea House. Other restaurants have their own specialties, but none are particularly amazing (I have high requirements for food, which does not represent the views of most people). Huaiyang cuisine is worth tasting many times, and the meat of the old goose is delicious and not to be missed.
Accommodation:
Guoyi Health Hotel, which lives in Jiangnan Gardens, is not far from the attractions. It has good services and value-added services (complimentary health courses, health tea, health books, etc.). Disadvantages: It seems that the sound insulation is poor and there are not many good restaurants around.
Next time you want to stay at the guesthouse, try the legendary Huaiyang cuisine ceiling restaurant.
Leisure and entertainment:
Walking around ancient alleys, pedicures, taking a bath and rubbing your back, all recommended
Shopping:
Thread-bound ancient books, lacquerware jewelry box
Written before the trip:
Jiangnan is the most beautiful place in China, and Yangzhou is the eye of Jiangnan. The place where the eyes flow is full of customs. The name of Yangzhou has made people think of dancing and dancing, but since the Spring and Autumn Period, the place's original name Guangling has an even more wonderful artistic conception. The song "Guangling San" means that this is a piano music popular in the ancient Guangling area.
There is an old saying in Yangzhou called "wrap your skin with water in the morning, and wrap your skin with water at night", which means that Yangzhou people eat steamed dumplings, scalding dried shredded silk, and drinking tea in the morning; take a bath to rub their backs and soak their feet at night. I still remember when I first came to Yangzhou twenty years ago. The local people would often serve out a few plates of melon seeds and snacks before dinner, chatting first and drinking tea before having dinner. The city is full of small parks, and people are always plucking strings and pipa in small pavilions and flower pools. Some people sing cappella, and there are even young women holding a few small plates between their fingers to make a few clear strokes to make a small song. This bone-to-bone leisure and ease seems to be the charm and special feature of this thousand-year-old city.
"With a hundred thousand yuan around my waist, I ride a crane down to Yangzhou", or "I have a dream of Yangzhou every ten years and won the reputation of being a brothel." In ancient times, Yangzhou was a place of flowers and beautiful scenery. Nowadays, people's imagination of Yangzhou is often confined to Wei Xiaobao's Lichun Courtyard. Although I am a woman, I am also curious about the famous Yangzhou beauties. It's just that I couldn't find a beautiful woman in the endless stream of people. The color was really not as good as the modern girl in Xujiahui, Shanghai. Asked about her friends in Yangzhou, she smiled faintly and said that most people in Yangzhou work outside, and most of the people in the city are foreigners, including herself. If you are lucky enough to meet a woman in plain clothes in a deep alley in the early morning, even if you are not in the prime of your life, you can often amaze time. This is a true Yangzhou woman.
Yangzhou has the softness of a woman, but it is even more difficult to have the firmness of a man. At that time, the "Ten Days of Yangzhou" was the leadership of Shi Kefa, the people of Yangzhou fought bloody battles. The military strength of the two sides was vastly different, and the defenders were actually a move to die generously. However, this was the first city in Jiangnan to resist the Qing army tenaciously. It was also the first time that the Qing soldiers encountered strong resistance since they entered the Pass. The Qing soldiers suffered heavy casualties. Three generals and one Baylor were killed. After the city fell, the Qing army retaliated crazily. The brutal ten-day massacre turned the prosperous Yangzhou City for several generations into ruins in a few days, and blood flowed into the ancient alleys with fireworks. In 1654, nearly 400 years ago, the souls of heroes should have been drifting along with the bell of Daming Temple for a long time, but this city is still full of integrity, a spiritual temperament that the Chinese nation has relied on for thousands of years.
After reading the above key introduction, if you still want to hear more about it, then set out with us.
2022/2/26-3/1 Departs from Shanghai on the 4th
It departed from Qingpu, Shanghai at 8:45 a.m. on the 26th and arrived in Yangzhou at 12 o'clock. Straight to the Yangzhou Banquet next to Slender West Lake, a restaurant with black pearls and diamonds. Yangzhou is a city of delicious food, and we have made up our mind to eat Huaiyang cuisine every time in the next few days.
Fortunately, I took the seat next to the performance stage directly. The waitress smiled and smiled. The gentleness of the Jiangnan woman washed away the tiredness of our journey. The two of us sat at a large round table, and the store didn't have any intention of disliking it.
During the banquet, there were Yangzhou Pingtan and Pipa Xiaoqu. Although Pingtan didn't understand it, they were still quite interesting. The Xiaoqu was as urgent as rain beating plantains and soothing as continuous drizzle, making people stop and cheer.
We ordered six tea refreshments. See the attached drawings for styles and prices.
Food reviews.
Yangzhou Lion Head is the most classic. The meat is tender and without residue. Use chicken soup and mussels to enhance the flavor. The soup was also a delicious broth, which was directly swept away by Zhou Bo.
It's not bad to make the big dry silk on-the-spot.
Green pepper edamame shredded mustard and pickled mustard leaves feel refreshing and delicious at the first few bites, but edamame is not a seasonal ingredient, and it is still lacking in delicacy.
Pu-wrapped pork is a famous dish in this restaurant, and I personally feel average.
Two refreshments, thousand-layer oil cake and small sesame ball, are not missing.
Overall, the food is between three and a half stars and four stars. The phone bill is 200 yuan. The service is good, and with the performance and environment, it can reach four and a half stars. But as black beads, it is a bit unsatisfactory, but the price is still close to the people.
The dishes we ordered were relatively simple. Here is a plate of Yangzhou fried rice for 78 yuan. I didn't order it because I thought the portion was too large. I don't know how the fried rice, which is known as the No. 1 in Yangzhou, tastes.
After dinner, go to the Chinese Medical Health Hotel near Slender West Lake to check in.
"The hotel is located in the Traditional Chinese Medical Center on Xihuamen Road, Slender West Lake Scenic Area. The hotel features traditional Chinese medicine health care, health and comfort. It covers a wide area, has a beautiful environment, elegant layout, and is full of traditional Chinese medicine and culture. In addition to carefully decorated rooms for guests, you can also read Chinese medical books, admire Chinese herbs, and taste Chinese medicinal dishes in the Chinese Medical Center, which covers an area of more than 60 acres. Here, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of Huaiyang, but also enjoy the personalized Chinese Medical Health Experience."- Quoted from Ctrip. com
The interior of the hotel is antique, with gray walls and bricks, which is quite characteristic of Jiangnan in China. Flowers and trees are lush and lush. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk to Slender West Lake, Daming Temple and other attractions. The service was good, and my sister warmly received her and added my WeChat account. She truly responded to every request. Like it! A healthy and delicious healthy breakfast is served in the morning and delivered directly to the room. I love it! Welcome fruits and health porridge before going to bed, and be considerate.
If there is anything that needs to be improved about this hotel is that Ctrip shows it as five-star, then the facilities in the room are still far from five-star, and four-star might be more appropriate. The sound insulation is slightly poor, but when we checked in, there were only a few guests due to the epidemic. This shortcoming is not obvious. In view of the hotel's affordable price, Jiangnan charm, harmony with the surrounding scenery, warm and thoughtful service, and excellent location, I personally highly recommend it and list it as a highlight of this trip.
After lunch break in the hotel in the afternoon, I walked around the hotel. After that, I checked the high-rated restaurants within five kilometers online, rode a shared bicycle, and took a look at the scenery all the way, and gradually became better in a city.
Dinner on the 26th
In the evening, when I was eating in the famous Chao Chao Huai, I ordered the restaurant's main set meal for two people to save trouble. When I looked around, as long as there were two people dining, they basically ordered this. The dishes were rich and the amount was sufficient, but the ingredients were average, which was better than the value for money. The environment was also a little crowded and noisy. Overall, the dishes are between three-and-a-half to four points, and the environment is between three-and-a-half to four points, but the price/performance ratio is about 4.5.
Dishes:
The famous Yangzhou fried rice is really good, but the portions are too large for the two of us to eat them later.
Each person tasted one or two spoonfuls of beef in fish soup. The taste was still fresh, but the beef was just a frozen beef roll.
The large dried silk has a large amount, and the dried silk feels of average quality.
Sushi bone sauce has a strong flavor, and the sauce bone feels heated after freezing.
The highlights are: craft beer, with delicate foam and the fragrance of hops
Overall evaluation: Chaohuai dishes use too much condiments, and the main ingredients are frozen meat. The advantage is that the quantity is large and the price is affordable. Personally, I even recommend Chaohuai's stewed vegetables, old goose, and fat sausage. Please note that one fat sausage is only a little cheaper than a pound of old geese.
What's more interesting is that Zhou Bo was halfway through his meal and said with enlightenment: Wife, we came to this store two years ago.
After dinner, we visited Pishi Street and settled in some online celebrity shops and Biancheng Bookstore. It was a bit interesting. Other shops were the same. The famous kebab shop was cheap enough but the food was a little difficult to swallow.
Pishi Street is connected to Dongguan Street, and the main street is paved with stone slabs. Walking on the road, you can see the salt merchant compound with blue bricks and gray tiles from time to time. It is a similar place across the country."Old Street".
I found an old street foot shop on Dongguan Street, repaired my feet, had pedicure for 40 minutes, and soaked my feet for 10 minutes. Each person was ¥88. I was recommended to buy a disposable knife for a total of 98. The craftsmanship was passable. It was a tourist project. You can also give it a try.
February 27 (Sunday)
After waking up naturally, I greeted the service housekeeper on WeChat. After a while, a rich healthy breakfast was delivered to the room, eliminating the embarrassment of competing with everyone for breakfast. Staying in the room and enjoying it comfortably was indeed a kind of enjoyment.
At 10:30, I experienced the Baduanjin experience class donated by the hotel. The teacher was once a national champion of Tai Chi and had a good temperament. We fought boxing for an hour on the grass under the warm winter sun to cultivate our moral character and unblock our meridians. It was wonderful. Baduanjin is an introductory course for health Qigong. It is easy to learn and your body will feel better after doing it. This is also a special experience when staying at the Health Care National Hospital.
27th (Sunday) noon
Visit Daming Temple
"Daming Temple is located on the middle peak of Shugang at the northwest corner of Slender West Lake in Yangzhou. It is named because it was built during the Ming Dynasty of Emperor Xiaowu of the Song Dynasty in the Southern Dynasties. The temple we see now was built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Before Jianzhen, a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty, he taught scriptures and precepts in Daming Temple.
The entire Daming Temple is divided into three parts. The central part is the main temple building, the east is the spiritual tower, and the west is the garden-style back garden-the West Garden. You can visit Quandaming Temple in the order of central-east-west.
Climb up the mountain along the soothing steps-the mountain is not high, only 28 meters above sea level, and you will reach the main entrance of Daming Temple. There are many vendors selling incense on both sides of the mountain road. Don't buy it. Fragrance from outside is not allowed to be brought into the temple. Please keep incense in the temple, starting from 60 yuan, which is relatively expensive. You can just worship without burning incense.
The main temple buildings in the middle of the scenic area are divided into three roads along the north-south direction. From south to north on the central axis are the archway, the mountain gate, which also plays the role of Tianwang Hall, and the Daxiong Hall. On the west road, we mainly see the Pingshan Hall built when Ouyang Xiu was the prefect of Yangzhou. Later, when Su Dongpo was the prefect of Yangzhou, he built the Gulin Hall behind the Pingshan Hall in memory of Ouyang Xiu. In the north is the Ouyang Temple. To the south of the East Road is the Pingyuan Building of the Abbot's Room, to the north is the Jianzhen Memorial Hall, and to the east of the Jianzhen Memorial Hall, there is also the Sutra Building.
Among them, Jianzhen Memorial Hall is an important building in Daming Temple. Jianzhen traveled eastward six times, bringing Chinese Buddhism and culture to Japan. He presided over the construction of Tang Zhaoti Temple in Nara, Japan and passed away there. When Jianzhen Memorial Hall was built in the 1960s and 1970s, it imitated the appearance of Tang Zhaoti Temple and was designed by Liang Sicheng.
The sacred tower in the eastern part of the scenic area was originally built by Emperor Yang Jian of the Sui Dynasty to celebrate his birthday. The tower we see now is restored and rebuilt according to the tower of the Sui Dynasty. The tower is 9 stories high and houses relics and a nanmu pagoda. Climb to the top of the tower and you can overlook the entire Daming Temple and overlook the scenery of Slender West Lake and Yangzhou City. On the east and west sides of the tower are the bell tower and the drum tower respectively. The reclining Buddha Hall in the north of the tower can see the jade Buddha from Myanmar.
The back garden and the west garden in the west of the scenic area are also called the Imperial Garden because it is related to Qianlong's descent to Jiangnan. Like all Jiangnan gardens, the garden is lined with rockery, pavilions and pavilions, and the lake water in the middle is a free life pond. In the east of the lake, there is a Qianlong Imperial Stele Pavilion, with three Qianlong Imperial Steles standing. There is the fifth spring in the world in the lake. This "fifth" was commented on by Zhang Youxin, the author of "Ji Jian Tea" in the Tang Dynasty. If you walk south of the Qianlong Imperial Monument, you will see the stone tablet of the "Fifth Spring" and an ancient well." - Quoted from Ctrip. com
This is a large-scale temple next to Slender West Lake. Jianzhen presided over this for many years. There are two ginkgo trees that are more than 200 years old. The most special feature of this temple is that the Buddha Sakyamuni relics are enshrined in the spiritual tower. On the eighth floor of the tower, you can pay close visits to relics. Those with Buddhist connections must not miss it.
At the entrance of the temple, we met a voluntary tour guide. The tour guide was a descendant of Confucius. He gave a free explanation for one and a half hours. He did his best and had a humble attitude. It was an honor to learn from him to worship Buddha. He has the allusions and legends at his fingertips, adding a lot of fun to the tour. For example, he said that Ouyang Xiu's stone portrait (as shown below) is special. No matter which angle you look at it, his eyes are always looking at you. If it were not for his reminder, we would have missed this kind of beauty similar to Mona Lisa's eyes. It's just that you can't see the pictures. You have to stand in front of the portrait and change your angle to make you amazed. It seems that ancient Chinese sculptors also knew that kind of magical aesthetic magic. I tried to search for the answer online, but there was no answer.
At the end of the tour guide's explanation, he also led the audience to pay homage to the Goddess of Mercy and the twelve zodiac signs. Of course, it was completely arbitrary whether to ask the Buddha to petition. No one in our party offered Buddha or incense. The tour guide was not unhappy at all. The tour guide refused to accept a tip after the tour guide finished. I feel like I am really promoting Dharma. It comes from the good.
Pingshantang Hall has lush flowers and trees in front of it, and the courtyard is quiet. Looking across the railing and overlooking the mountains in the south of the Yangtze River, just on the same level of sight."The distant mountains come from this hall," so it is called "Pingshantang". Ouyang Xiu and Su Dongpo hosted guests in Yangzhou. This is also something I particularly like. Ouyang Xiu and Su Shi are the literary masters I admire the most in my life. They are the most romantic and free. While in officialdom, they are like Su Dongpo joked: It is inappropriate.
If you don't listen to the explanation, the tour of Daming Temple and Pingshan Hall should end in an hour. Let's listen slowly and stroll slowly. It's about two hours.
Dinner on the 28th, Hantian Huijin Hotel
On Sunday evening, we had dinner at Hantian Huijin Hotel, about one kilometer away from the Chinese Medical Center. It was a five-star or four-star hotel. We were basically the only table in the lobby. I was a little worried about the quality of the dishes, but it tasted good after eating. The style and price look at the photos at the back. It's a little expensive, about 20% more expensive than other places, but I think the quality and service are good, the food is served quickly, the tableware is beautiful, and the environment is quiet and comfortable. So we feel satisfied. If you live near Slender West Lake within walking distance, this store is also an option, especially if you are already worried about the noisy environment of a hotel with many tourists.
Dishes: Lion's head, which melts immediately in the mouth, the soup is also very delicious (Mr. Zhou has not a drop left), and the four-star chicken matsutake soup. Each is a small cup, which is quite suitable for the two of us. The main promotion of braised mutton is also good, and the Internet celebrity Wensi tofu also makes people feel the refinement and elegance of Huaiyang cuisine. The aroma of wine is still tender, but there are yellow leaves inside.
On Monday morning, February 28, the hotel was transferred to Yangzhou Slender West Lake Junting Hotel (good location, high price)
"The hotel is located in the southeast of Slender West Lake in Shugang, Yangzhou, about 500 meters away from the main scenic spot of Slender West Lake. The hotel is surrounded by the ancient moat of Yangzhou in front and Wenchang Pavilion in back. The surrounding communities and leisure and living formats are rich. Yechun Tea House and Fuchun Tea House are close to each other. Dongguan Ancient Street, Renfengli Ancient Lane and Geyuan are all within hundreds of meters."- Ctrip
We stayed in a room on the corner of the seventh floor, with two large floor-to-ceiling windows and a wide view. The room was about 38 square meters and the facilities were new. The stay experience was good.
For breakfast we had morning tea at Yiyuan near the hotel. Although it was already past nine o'clock, the restaurant was still occupied by 70-80%. I ran straight to the only empty window seat, but the waiter didn't stop me. There are elderly people from Yangzhou around, most of whom are aunts. A steamed bun is three or five yuan, and the price is not bad. When you come to serve a drawer of steamed buns and drink a pot of tea, five or six aunties are chatting and smiling. We ordered the famous crab meal soup dumplings for 48 yuan each. This is probably the most expensive steamed buns I have ever eaten. The thin skin is fresh hand-removed crab meal. I originally thought it was really expensive to have only soup and crab meal in a steamed bun. Thinking about how many crabs it took to remove to accumulate crab meal, I thought this steamed bun was worth a try. Mr. Zhou, who was traveling with him, almost laughed to death. First, he poured out the soup from the crab meal soup buns first, and ate the soup and meat separately. Secondly, he ordered a bottle of beer instead of green tea for morning tea. It is a wonderful thing to be rude, but it is also a kind of willfulness and frankness. In addition, we also ordered Yangchun noodles. Great! It is inexpensive and inexpensive, with strong noodles and delicious soup.
Steamed dumplings, oil cakes, three diced buns, and pine nuts and steamed wheat are all good.
Mr. Zhou also had dinner here that night and had a low evaluation. It is recommended that you can drink Yangzhou morning tea here. Note that morning tea in Yiyuan ends at 10:00.
After enjoying the traditional Yangzhou water bag, we set off for Slender West Lake. I have visited Yangzhou three times this time, and I have also visited Slender West Lake three times, but I am still very interested. This time it was truly "Fireworks in March" in Yangzhou. We chose Monday to avoid the crowds on the weekend. Coupled with the epidemic, this time was the least crowded among my three visits to Slender West Lake.
"When you come to Yangzhou in spring, you must visit Slender West Lake. Slender West Lake is a long and narrow river. Here, you can either walk along the river to enjoy the natural beauty, or walk into pavilions and pavilions to taste the poems, paintings and ink treasures of literati and literati of past dynasties. You can also sit on a boat.
The entire Slender West Lake Scenic Area is very large. It starts from Dahongqiao in the southeast of the scenic area, and goes north along the lake to Guanyin Mountain. It passes through dozens of scenic spots on the way. There are 4 gates in the scenic area, southeast, northwest, and usually you enter from the south gate on Dahongqiao Road to start your tour.
Wuting Bridge is the symbol of Slender West Lake and has a history of more than 200 years. There are five wind pavilions built on the bridge. Every full moon night, each of the fifteen bridge holes under the Wuting Bridge contains a moon. The 24th Bridge is another famous attraction in the scenic area. It comes from Du Mu's poem,"The 24th Bridge is bright and bright on the night, where does the jade man teach to blow the whistle?" The original bridge no longer exists, but now it is a rebuilt bridge."- Ctrip
We enter the park from the south gate and go north all the way. The scenic spots are concentrated in the middle, and there are fewer tourists in the south and north. Spring returns to the south of the Yangtze River, willow smoke is beginning to grow, fragrant plum blossoms are dotted, peach blossoms are beautiful, and there are fewer tourists. Step by step is the scenery, and everywhere is picturesque. I originally thought that it would be early and that spring would be in the future, but in fact, it was plum blossoms that were bustling on the branches, and the peach blossoms were beautiful and no longer fighting for spring. Hundreds of plum blossoms in the plum garden kept swarms of bees busy. We lay comfortably under the tree, and as the fragrance moved, we fell asleep unknowingly. Zhuang Gong Xiao dreamed of butterflies and didn't know what year this life was. The air was full of happiness.
Wake up from the dream, find a small boat, rafting in the center of the lake, feed the black swans, the breeze comes slowly, hoping that time will stop here.
Comments: The most beautiful thing about Slender West Lake is the lake view. You can go boating and walk. Wuting Bridge has its own characteristics and is quite beautiful. The twenty-fourth bridges are beautiful in poetry, but the bridges are not outstanding.
"Although it is all artificial, but strange thoughts and illusions are dotted with nature, that is, Langyuan Yaochi, Qionglou Yuyu, I can't forgive this. The beauty of it lies in the gardens of more than ten families, which are integrated into one."" At the end of the city, Hongyuan is the leader. Turning to the north, there is a stone beam called "Hongqiao". Do you know the name of the garden after the bridge? -- When the boat passes by, it is called "Long Dike Spring Willows"--"Building soil to build a temple is called" Little Jinshan "; with this blocking, you feel that the momentum is tight and it is not a vulgar writing. --- There is Lianxin Temple on the south of the bridge. The white lama pagoda protrudes from the temple, with a golden roof and a high sky. The corner of the temple is surrounded by red walls and cypresses. The bell is heard from time to time. This is unprecedented in gardens and pavilions in the world."- six chapters of a floating life
In the afternoon, after leaving Slender West Lake, Zhou Bo began to have business trips, and I began to go shopping alone while taking annual leave.
Visiting ancient book bookstores, lacquer ware stores, and antique stores has gained a lot. I bought lacquerware decorative boxes and a stone, a handmade thread-bound book (Nalan Ci, my favorite), and a Chinese painting book. These books with extremely small sales are becoming increasingly rare in modern commercial society.
For dinner, Dongquanmen is famous for Huyuan cuisine. Due to the epidemic, there are not many tourists. I haven't seen the half-hour queue reported online. It is indeed what everyone calls a fly restaurant in a deep alley. Dining alone requires a joint table, the price is reasonable, and the dishes are also quite local. As for the taste, just give it a try. It's not worth coming back, it's not worth queuing up.
When I knocked on the blackboard, I had been struggling with whether to take a bath and rub my back. The online reviews were mixed and the price was not cheap. It was really okay to be alone, so I would give it a try. The result proved that this was one of the most correct decisions to come to Yangzhou.
I chose the Yangzhou Backwashing Hall (flagship store), which is more famous in Yangzhou. I chose the 198 set meal, which was 80 minutes. I noticed that it actually took 75 minutes from the start of the massage to the end of my shower. The overall feeling is quite good.
In a small independent room, people who can receive essential oil massage will generally enjoy it. The process is: soak in the pool (it is recommended to take five or six minutes, because it is included in the consumption time). Rubbing my back, I chose red wine to rub my back. The strong elder sister rolled a towel in her hands and carefully washed it everywhere. Layers of dead skin fell off. Wow, how does it feel like being reborn? After that, my sister used a skin care product blended with fresh milk, honey, and aloe vera to help me do a full body care. At this time, I already felt that it was worth it, but the best part came-burning my back! My eldest sister put several thick bath towels on my back and poured hot water on my back one spoonful after another. Ha, now I understood what a water wrapper is. I transformed into a Bashi dumpling and enjoyed The relaxation and comfort brought by the heat on my back.
The last service the eldest sister gave was to knock on the back. The force of the knock was very good and at the beat, and the meridians in her body were unobstructed. Later, I always regretted it. There were still a few minutes left, why didn't I let her knock more?
After the shower, I was in a better mood and decided to continue my corruption. Go straight to the Qingertang near the hotel to collect ears. The environment is clean and comfortable, almost elegant, the service is also good, the ears are cleaned very cleanly, I feel a lot more relaxed, and my hearing seems to have improved. Since I saw that this is also the Yangzhou ear picking technician training base, I may have expected too much. Compared with my ear picking experience in other places, I have all the necessary processes, and there is nothing particularly surprising about it. 99 yuan and 50 minutes are okay. Recommend a try.
Tuesday, March 1st
I went to Yechun Tea House in the morning. There were too many famous eating, drinking and fun nearby Junting Hotel. I just felt that my stomach was too small and twenty-four hours was too fast. Because it was breakfast for one person, I didn't order much, including a bowl of tofu pudding, an emerald steamed wheat, a drawer of steamed dumplings, and a 28-yuan crab roe soup bun. I like it better than Yiyuan.
The dining environment is particularly good. In an old Jiangnan garden, I sat in an excellent seat alone, and I could just see the stage outside the grid window. There were two or three elderly people next to the seats near the stage. Most of them did not consume, and some were sitting on the concrete stands in the flower beds. Several amateur actors on the stage entertain themselves, and the grandparents below are full of interest. This is a picture of a happy life. Why does life need too much material? A peaceful attitude, leisurely enjoy one's interests and hobbies, and go on stage to play without stage fright. Those who are unwilling to work just applaud below. It's fun. Wouldn't it be wonderful?!
After morning tea, since I had visited Yangzhou three times, I did not revisit Geyuan and Heyuan. I chose a new online tourist attraction-Yangzhou China Grand Canal Museum. (Note: The museum is closed on Monday, register in advance, otherwise there is a high probability that the quota will be full on that day and you will not be able to enter the park)
I was a little hesitant before visiting. I just wanted to introduce the canal. How much content could it have? I really saw that the online reviews were good, so give it a try. Here I came, I saw it, and I was shocked. I have visited nearly a hundred museums at home and abroad, using new technology, not limited by museum rules, to show history, humanities, scenery, folk customs, and ecological environment in one museum site. Immersive experience, the beauty of light and shadow, and the psychedelic travel through time and space. This is the first one. Wandering around the venue, being surrounded by the beautiful scenery on both sides of the thousand-year canal and the prosperity that thousands of sails have passed, I feel a sense of admiration for the history of the Chinese nation spontaneously. How lucky I am to be a Chinese citizen to absorb such rich historical nutrients!
Overall introduction: "The China Grand Canal Museum is located in the Sanwan Wetland, with a pleasant environment and a wide area. The China Grand Canal Museum covers an area of 200 acres and has a total construction area of about 80,000 square meters. It was designed by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The museum as a whole combines modern, smooth and fashionable lines with the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, like a giant ship setting sail. Its shape is three towers reflecting three bays, with the majestic Universiade Tower in the center, Wenfeng Tower in the north, and Tianzhong Tower in the south. Entering the museum is the central exhibition hall of Nuoya University, which displays the history and culture of the Grand Canal of China throughout the basin, during all times and in all directions. The exhibition hall has 4 floors in centimeters. The first floor is a historical exhibition of the Grand Canal. There are three exhibition halls. Hall 1 is an exhibition of the history and cultural relics of the Grand Canal, Hall 2 is a boat on the canal, and Hall 3 is an impression of the Grand Canal Street, which moves the streets along the canal from the Tang Dynasty into the museum. There is a holographic projection experience outside the museum, where you can take a "cruise ship" to visit the Grand Canal and enjoy the scenery on both sides of the canal and the historical changes of thousands of years. Hall 4 on the J floor is an introduction exhibition to world-famous canals and canal cities, as well as a water transport theater. If you catch the time, you can enjoy artistic performances here. There are exhibition halls 5 to 12 on the second floor. Hall 5 is for Canal and Art, displaying the humanities and art that have emerged around the canal for thousands of years, such as paper-cutting, embroidery, pottery, etc. Hall 6 is a simulation of the canal wetland scene, allowing you to understand the modern ecological environment of the canal. Hall 7 displays the intangible cultural heritage of the Grand Canal. Hall 8 is a projection exhibition of Love of the River, showing the prosperity of the city along the Grand Canal. Hall 9 houses the Forbidden City and the Grand Canal. Hall 1 is about Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty and the Grand Canal, displaying the historical source of the Grand Canal. The-1st floor is a leisure area, with the Canal of Damingdu Water Supervision, a multi-functional exhibition hall and a restaurant tea bar. You can come here to take a nap after the tour. Tickets: Free "-quoted from Ctrip
What's impressive about this museum:
1. The building has a great sense of design, is spacious and bright.
2. Innovative thinking, every exhibition hall is historic, but it is also designed with modern and new thinking.
3. This is not a venue that talks for itself and puts up whatever it has. It is a process of deep thinking about the needs of visitors. Regardless of class, educational background, or aesthetic taste, when you come, you will appreciate, be happy, learn, and even improve. This means that it not only meets the needs of visitors, but also guides your needs. I wonder how many people, especially children, will have a yearning and pursuit for history, humanities, and beauty.
4. Very interesting. For example, the Shanghai Museum (one of my favorite museums) is an eight-part script (not completely derogatory, but also has the advantages of gorgeous writing and neat structure), and the Canal Museum is a modern and popular three-dimensional book. You don't need to memorize it by rote. You don't need to constantly be crushed in the competition with academic students and learning gods. You just need to open your heart, see, listen, and experience. Everyone's understanding is different. There is no level, only diversity. I was surprised that there was an escape room in the museum (it was not opened due to the epidemic when I visited). It is said to be a large-scale scripted killing room designed based on the history of the canal. Tourists transformed into the city's water supervisor, using the mystery as a line, passing through each level, completing the check-in task, and guessing the mastermind behind the scenes. During the game, you can get a glimpse of the canal knowledge and historical changes of each dynasty. I have never seen better historical enlightenment in my life.
5. The bookstore is at the corner of the elevator. You will miss it accidentally. This is the only bookstore I have met in my life that does not sell books. The books are mostly related to the history of Yangzhou and Canal, and there are many books similar to county annals. Hold a written version of history you like, and you are listening to another voice. Thousands of years of urban history are condensed in one book, and each once vivid life is like a meteor in the historical night sky. It only leaves some traces in pavilions, pavilions, temples and ancestral halls, but more small characters are just blown away by the wind, as if they have never been here.
Summary: Don't miss the Grand Canal Museum when you come to Yangzhou. It is recommended to rent headphones because the amount of information is huge. The only shortcoming: the drinks and food in the dining area are of single variety and average quality.
Tour time: 3-4 hours. I entered the museum after ten o'clock in the morning and left reluctantly until it closed at five o'clock in the afternoon.
The most beautiful 5D images cannot be presented through photos, and can only be felt when you are there.
In the evening, I went to the high-rated restaurant near the hotel, Fuxing Restaurant. The price was not expensive. I didn't think the taste was much different from Huyuan. The price was a little more expensive, but there were more varieties of dishes. I ordered their most famous stinky Sanyuan, stinky tofu, large intestine, and a small pot stewed with ang-sickle fish. I didn't think it was stinky. The large intestine was finally enjoyable in Yangzhou this time. In order to try dishes for everyone, I also ordered the local famous sweet and sour gluten (not recommended), served with stinky Sanyuan. It's all from thick sauce. I can't eat it anymore.
At this point, the four-day trip to Yangzhou came to an end. I met the depths of Jiangnan in the most beautiful spring, and my heart was soaked. I hope you are also happy.
Summary: In Yangzhou, you have to slow down. Enjoy morning tea, stroll around ancient alleys, pedicures, soak in a bath and rub your back, and pick ears are all worth a slow try to wash away your physical and mental fatigue. Accommodation at the Grand Canal Museum and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Hotel (affordable, affordable, and excellent location) are undoubtedly highlights.
Coming to Yangzhou, I can get a glimpse of the essence of Huaiyang cuisine. Huaiyang cuisine began in the Spring and Autumn Period, flourished in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is known as "the best taste in Southeast Asia and the most beautiful in the world." Huaiyang cuisine is carefully selected and crafted according to the materials; it is finely produced and elegant in style; it pursues its own flavor, is clear, fresh and peaceful. Famous dishes include clear stewed crab powder and lion head, Wensi tofu, boiled dried shredded silk, crystal meat, squirrel mandarin fish, stir-fried soft pockets, etc. Particularly worth recommending are Yangzhou stewed dishes: Yangzhou old goose, goose feet, goose wings, stewed pork intestines, soy beef, crystal meat, etc. Even when I think about it, I'm tempted.
Yangzhou is also worth visiting four times. I plan to enjoy the cherry blossoms on Cherry Blossom Avenue on Jianzhen Road around March 20 of the next year, and the rapeseed flower fields with flowers on Gaoyou Lake. You can visit the Canal Museum, shadow puppet shows, professional Yangzhou Pingtan, and you can also rub your back, pick your ears, and have your pedicures. Really, I can't wait.

Yangzhou women
"Tian Xiuying Chongzhen's favorite concubine
Consort Tian was born in an alley on Dongguan Street, Yangzhou. In order to commemorate this talented woman, Yangzhou people called the alley where she was born "Tianjia Lane." Her father, Tian Hongyu, later went into business, so Consort Tian had a wealthy family since she was a child. Tian Xiuying was extremely smart and had a wide range of hobbies since she was a child, so Tian Hongyu invited a Confucian scholar to teach her reading and painting, and also hired a zither player to teach Tian Xiuying music, who later became her stepmother. When Consort Tian was thirteen or thirteen years old, she was already able to recite poems and compose Fu. Every poem she wrote was always beautiful and elegant and passed down for a while. His father was forthright and made friends with celebrities and powerful people. He traveled around the world several times. At that time, he was known as Xiao Mengchang. "The Biography of Empresses and Concubines in the History of the Ming Dynasty" records that "my father Hongyu was the most important woman, and he was the governor of the left. He liked to travel and became a light chivalrous man."
Consort Tian is elegant and versatile. She is both in civil and military affairs. She is proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, and is omnipotent in Cuju, riding and shooting. As for decorating the room, embroidery and cooking, and improving palace etiquette, she is also extraordinary in everything... Her patriarchal characters Zhong Yao and Wang Xizhi have reached the level of ability. "Every scroll of calligraphy and painting is written on it by Consort Tian." She is good at flowers, and the "Picture of Qun Fragrance" she painted was placed on her desk by Chongzhen and often displayed and appreciated. The most outstanding thing is her musical attainments. She is good at playing the pipa and plays a good flute. Chongzhen praised her flute music for having the effect of "cracking stones and piercing clouds"; playing the piano is her unique skill, which suppresses the clouds and winds around the beam for three days. Chongzhen liked the lament of the pipa, the melodious flute music, and especially the quaint nature of the piano music. He also composed the piano music "Five Songs of Visiting Tao"-"Wutong Yin","Kongtong Yin","Jinglin Song","Lanke You" and "Shen Tongqi", and listened to Tian Fei play every time he had free time. Wu Meicun, who is famous for portraying beauties, left a poem for Consort Tian in his "Yonghe Palace Ci":"Elegant steps and slender waist are first summoned, and a golden hairpin is used to mark the day of love. The richness and splendor are unparalleled, and the Cuju plays the first place in playing Acer; in Shanglin, the king of the bell is forbidden to paint plain hair. The willow breeze is gentle in spring to test the horse, and the phoenix trees are dew and blowing the flute in the cold evening. "Tian Xiuying was able to stand on the saddle with one foot and pierce through the poplar with hundreds of steps. Even the Royal Guards couldn't help but cheer and sigh," If Concubine Tian gallops on the battlefield, she will definitely not let her men down. "
However, Concubine Tian died early due to her son and died in a depressed manner, so she escaped the great changes in Beijing two years later. After Chongzhen committed suicide, Li Zicheng ordered her tomb to be opened and Chongzhen and Empress Zhou were buried together. The tomb of Imperial Consort Tian has since been renamed Siling from the residence of Imperial Consort Tian." - Internet excerpts
"Zhang Yuliang (Pan Yuliang)
Pan Yuliang's original name was Yang Xiuqing, and his ancestral home was in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. Yang Xiuqing's parents passed away when she was very young, so she could only live with her uncle, who was addicted to alcohol and loved gambling.
When Yang Xiuqing was 13 years old, his uncle sent him to a brothel in Wuhu, Anhui Province out of livelihood considerations. Yang Xiuqing developed very late due to his poor family and malnutrition since childhood. Seeing this, the pimp arranged for her to be a fire-burning girl.
Yang Xiuqing is average in the brothel, but she usually learns to play, play, sing and sing from her teacher, and her talent is quite good. Yang Xiuqing will always appear in any performance.
In 1913, Pan Zanhua was transferred to Wuhu and took up the position of salt governor. In order to get along with him, the local salt merchants invited a team of prostitutes who played and sang to accompany him. In this team, Yang Xiuqing's name was included.
As a result, Yang Xiuqing met a noble person who changed his destiny and completely rewritten his life.
Before accepting Yang Xiuqing, Pan Zanhua had already obeyed his parents 'orders to marry and have children in his hometown. After accepting Yang Xiuqing, he found that this woman was not only sincere and kind, but also quite independent, which was very different from ordinary submissive women. As a result, Pan Zanhua appreciated Yang Xiuqing more.
He invited a teacher for Yang Xiuqing to teach her to read, read, and paint. Unexpectedly, his careful training would produce a great painter for China.
Yang Xiuqing is very intelligent and hardworking. She changed her name to Pan Yuliang and wanted to bid farewell to everything in the past. With the support of her husband, Pan Yuliang was later admitted to the Shanghai Academy of Picture Art with first place to receive professional painting education.
While studying at the Art Academy, Pan Yuliang gradually became fascinated with nude paintings. But in the social context of the time, few people could accept nude art. Her husband, who has always supported her, is open-minded, but he cannot accept nude paintings. For this reason, Pan Yuliang went to the market to complain to the art teacher Liu Haisu. The teacher suggested that she go to Europe to study and learn orthodox nude painting techniques.
After Pan Yuliang returned from his studies in Paris, he was invited by Liu Haisu to teach at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. As a result, Pan Yuliang became the first female teacher of Western painting in modern Chinese history.
The success of her career did not improve her family status much. Her husband still loved her very much, but her husband's eldest wife always made things difficult for her. Unable to stand the family environment, she finally resolutely chose to leave. Although Pan Zanhua was unwilling to let her go, he was also willing to let her pursue a better self. Pan Zan prepared some money for Pan Yuliang and sent her to Europe.
She has been away for 40 years. I never returned to my hometown since then."- Internet excerpts
I looked through some books about Yangzhou and extracted allusions to women. Yangzhou is a place with exquisite spirits. Beautiful or intelligent women have been nurtured with spirit and spirit. In the palace and in troubled times, being able to settle down and live alone is the place where Yangzhou's spirit lies.
