Yangzhou slender West Lake
My home is in Yangzhou, a beautiful, pleasant and fertile city. Yangzhou must be familiar to everyone. When you mention Yangzhou, you must think of Yangzhou's most famous attraction-Slender West Lake. The name "Slender West Lake" was first recorded in the literature in Wu Qi's "Preface to Yangzhou Chuangzi" in the early Qing Dynasty: "A water in the north of the city leads to Pingshantang. It is named Slender West Lake, and its original name is Baoshan Lake." In the first year of Qianlong (1736), Wang Yan, a poet from Qiantang (Hangzhou), came to Yangzhou because of his admiration. After enjoying the beautiful scenery here, he compared it with the West Lake in his hometown and wrote a poem: "The weeping poplar continues to pick up the remnants, and the geese 'teeth' and the red bridges are painted by the mountains. It is also a pot of gold, so it should be called Slender West Lake."
Slender West Lake has formed a basic pattern during the Kangxi and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty, and is known as "the prosperity of gardens and the best in the world." Slender West Lake is mainly divided into 14 major attractions, including Wuting Bridge, Twenty-Four Bridge, Lotus Pond, Diaoyutai, etc.
