Thin shadow, slanting horizontal, clear and shallow water--first encounter

The first time I went to Geyuan, I passed by it while visiting Dongguan Street. At first glance, there was nothing special about it, except for old houses, rockery, water, courtyard, bamboo, etc. The scenery was particularly beautiful, so I left a photo and went back.

I was very happy, haha) because we mainly went to the middle area of the garden and explained in detail the history of each location, yes, we gained some understanding of the courtyard layout and garden conception. I haven't heard some stories before, so I just talked about me ~~ Later, I specifically inquired about the origin of some gardens. Here, the little girl will popularize the knowledge points for everyone: the word "Geyuan" is written on the stone on the door. The word "Ge" is in the shape of a bamboo leaf. The owner's name is "Zhi Yun"."Yun" also refers to the bamboo, so it is named "Geyuan", pointing out the theme.

The spring scenery is near the entrance to the south of Guihua Hall. Bamboos are built on both sides outside the gate of the Gizi Garden Gate, and stalagmites are planted in the bamboo bushes, giving the appearance of "every inch of stone giving rise to emotion" and giving rise to the meaning of "mushrooming after rain". Bamboo and stone break through the theme of "Spring Mountain" and convey the concept of "Cherishing Spring" in traditional culture. After entering the garden gate, you will still find the same spring mountain, with pictures of bamboo and stone. There are twelve zodiac animals dotted with pictographic stones, and peonies and peonies are planted in the flower beds. Outside the door is early spring, and inside the door is the scene of deep spring. Can you find out where the zodiac signs are hidden?

The Xiajing stacked stones are mainly blue-gray Taihu Lake stones, which are like clouds turning over fog. The gardeners take advantage of the uneven, uneven, thin, transparent, leaking and wrinkled characteristics of Taihu Lake stones to have many stacked stones but not chaotic, and the scrolls are smooth and smooth when viewed from a distance, as beautiful as clouds and strange peaks; myopia is exquisitely clear, like peaks and caves. The autumn scenery is a Yellowstone rockery. In the northeast corner of the garden, it is made of rough Yellowstone. A square pavilion is built on the top of the mountain, and ancient cypresses stretch obliquely between the mountains, leaning against jagged rocks. There are three steps on the mountain. One can turn twice and return to its original place, and the other can turn twice and return to the cliff. Only the middle road can go deep into the peaks or down to the secluded rooms in the mountains. Climbing left and right in the cave, the realms are different. There are stone chambers, stone benches, stone tables, mountain tops, and a line of sky. There are also stone bridges and flying beams. There are deep valleys and streams. There are planar detours and three-dimensional twists. The mountains and the mountains and the mountains are connected to the pavilions. After generally enjoying the four seasons in the garden, I will also look for other very distinctive places-houses, and truly feel the attention of the owners in the garden.

Overall introduction, Geyuan is a typical private residential garden. The whole park is divided into a central garden, a southern residential area, and a northern variety of bamboo viewing areas. Entering the garden from the residence, the first thing you see is the moon-hole-shaped garden gate with the word "Geyuan" written on the stone forehead on the door. Behind the gate of the garden is the spring scenery, the summer scenery is located in the northwest of the garden, the autumn scenery is in the northeast of the garden, and the winter scenery is in the east of the spring scenery.

The browsing route can start from the southern residence: Geyuan Residence is divided into three roads, each road has three entrances. Each road is separated by a fire alley. It covers an area of about 3000 square meters, has a building area of 2600 square meters, and has more than 60 houses of large and small.

The Geyuan Fair often holds Salt Merchants Cultural Festival and related exhibitions. A hydrangea throwing event is held at the Miss Embroidery Building in Geyuan. At the same time, at the end of each year, salt merchants 'experiential weddings, salt merchants' food festivals, salt merchants 'supplies exhibitions, salt merchants' cultural exhibitions, as well as introductions to pictures and materials about the canal, etc. enter the garden from the residence, and those who are interested can participate and watch it.

We can first visit the Huang family kitchen along the east axis. The stove in the kitchen is obviously too backward compared with today's gas stoves. However, the facilities here back then were high-end compared with ordinary people's kitchens. It is steaming hot every day here and the aroma is fragrant. Not to mention anything else, the eggs the owner eats are laid by hens specially fed with precious ginseng and white rice. The value of each is "one tael of silver". At that time, the price of a stone of rice (150 kilograms) was only one tael of "one tael of silver"(full-colored silver). The owner of the garden has to eat "two" such expensive eggs every morning. Every morning, chefs often cook more than ten kinds of rice porridge and steam more than ten kinds of snacks for their masters to entertain guests. They have a nutritious combination of meat and vegetables and a complete north and south flavors.

Then visit the East Axis Zhongjin, which is where Huang Zhiyun's family eats. When you look up, the roof beams and pillars are all precious golden nanmu. Hundreds of years have passed, but these woods have no insect eyes and no traces of corrosion. They are really first-class goods at a first-class price. However, the shape of the beam is round and is called "round work" in a carpenter's speech. With a round table and round stool, the family gathers to eat together, giving it a feeling of "round and full". The "Qingmei Hall" where the east axis moves forward. The person who is clean is noble and pure. "Qingmei" means "beauty and clarity", means taking clarity as beauty, and taking elegance as a beautiful character. This is the place where the Huang family receives general visitors and butlers to handle daily matters. The hall is not large, but the workmanship is very particular.

Then there is the patio. The three buildings in the Huang family's house each have auspicious themes, which are "blessing, wealth, and longevity". The theme of this axis is "Lu". "Lu" refers to salary, which is the salary of ancient officials; it is said that "senior officials are rich." Yangzhou folk houses very much like to use the homophonic sounds of animals or plants to seek good luck in pattern decoration. For example, the deer of a sika deer and "Lu" are homophonic sounds. Therefore, in addition to dripping water, there are also various deer carved on the door. The owner hopes that it can bless the prosperity of government for generations. We will also see bats as symbols of "blessing" on the west axis.

Then on the central axis, the hall is called "Han Xuetang", Huang Xilin, the second son of Huang Zhiyun, was a famous "collection" master in the country in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. The function of "Han Xuetang" was also to receive guests, but the reception specifications were higher than that of "Qingmei Tang".

Go back to the center of the axis and take a look. This is the daily residence of Huang Zhiyun's fourth son, Huang Xixi. Among the four brothers of the Huang family, Huang Xixi is relatively noble. He regards officialdom as dung and places all the joy of life in reciting poems and painting. He left a collection of poems "Qingmei Tang" and "Qiyun" for future generations. Next is the bedroom of Huang Zhijun and his wife. Upstairs is the boudoir of Huang Zhiyun's daughter. In feudal society, men are distinguished and men are superior to women. Men can attend various occasions and activities, while women can only hide in it and work as female prostitutes, especially in large families. Finally, you can take a look at the last building on the West Road. This is said to be the residence of Huang Zhiyun's eldest son and third son. After walking through this door, you will reach the back garden of Geyuan, which is the garden area. Geyuan is famous for its bamboo, and it also gets its name because of its bamboo. There are many types of bamboo in the garden. The shadows of bamboo can be seen everywhere in Geyuan, and bamboo shoots mushrooming in the spring scenery; bamboo paintings, couplets and stools in the Han School are carved with moral meaning on them.

There are nearly 20,000 bamboo poles in Geyuan, Yangzhou. At most, there were more than 60 species of bamboo, and now 45 species survive.

Thousands of words in the moonlight-memory

The beautiful scenery left by the owner of the garden will introduce some of the more famous places. Of course, when you go to visit, you can take a look and discover better ones!

Baoshan Tower is a long building with seven towers, spanning between two mountains in summer and autumn. The two mountains are lined up in the east and west of the building. There are many mountain paths leading to the upper floor. Baoshan Tower connects the two mountains in space, and the corridor in front of the building surrounds the two mountains on the chest, which is the origin of the name Baoshan Tower. You can enjoy both summer and autumn scenery on the corridor of Baoshan Tower, so it is nicknamed the "Time and Space Tunnel" by modern people. On the south wall of the corridor downstairs, there is inlaid with engraved stone "The Story of Bamboo and Stone" written by Liu Fenghao, a Qing Dynasty person.

Qingyi Pavilion is a six-corner pavilion, tall and dignified, and can take over the scenery of the whole garden. There are many Taihu Lake stones arranged around Qingyi Pavilion, and the outside of the Taihu Lake stones is surrounded by a bend of green water. Qingyi Pavilion is beautiful under heavy protection. Zhang Shuo and Qin Dynasty sentences titled Qingyi Pavilion in Geyuan, Yangzhou: The weather contains bamboo gas; the mountains are full of light from the lakes.

Zhuqiu Pavilion

The Zhuqiu Pavilion is located on the south peak of Akiyama Mountain. It faces east to west and is built against the wall. There are windows on three sides. It is the largest building on the rockery in the whole garden. There are stone steps in the easternmost courtyard that lead to the south peak of Akiyama Mountain. The couplet in front of the pavilion,"Autumn enters in the rain of summer, and spring searches for the plum stamens" was inscribed by Zheng Xie (Zheng Banqiao).

In the middle of Geyuan's Four Seasons Garden is the "Yiyu Pavilion", with three broad towers in the east and virtual windows on all sides, allowing a panoramic view of the garden. The roof of the pavilion is made of black tiles common in Yangzhou, with the four corners rising slightly. There are several pieces of floral glass imported from France when the garden was founded on the east and west walls. Yiyu Pavilion is the place where the garden owner receives guests. There is a couplet in front of the pavilion: It is appropriate to tune the zither in the morning and drum in the evening. The old rain has just arrived.

There are several curved corridors and small pavilions in the sentence search gallery, where the owner searches for poems. A couplet hangs "The moon reflects thousands of words in the bamboo, and the frost is high, and the plum blossoms are pregnant with flowers." The Miju Corridor is connected to the West Road Building. It connects to Xiashan to the northwest, Yiyuxuan, the main building of the "Four Seasons Rockery" to the north, and Chunshan and Dongshan to the east.
