The weekend after Togo finished the exam, we fled to Yangzhou in a hurry and started our family's first trip in 2020. The destination-Qingpu Cultural Museum? Yangzhou Slender West Lake.

We need a reward to pay tribute to our efforts for the final exam, so eating well and sleeping soundly is the first priority. We also need more connotative travel. After all, children are slowly growing up, and hotels that experience intangible cultural heritage certainly stand out from the crowd.

The weather in early January was not suitable for travel. For a three-day and two-night outing in Yangzhou, we arrived at the hotel at 9 pm on the first day. It rained all day on the second day. On the third day, the haze index in Yangzhou exploded to 260...

However, we are very fortunate to have stayed in the Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum for the past three days. These unfavorable factors have been resolved one by one. In such bad weather, the Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum made us feel four words-comfortable and appropriate. We have stayed in many good hotels, but this is the first time we have had such exquisite service.

▲ Looking forward to the fireworks in Yangzhou in March and making the scenery here magic.

▲ The brick art of Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum allows children to live in a Chinese castle.

▲ Every meal has an exquisite Huaiyang flavor that does not repeat, and every meal is a feast.

▲ Believe it or not, these are all hand-made and made by us.

Yangzhou alleys, 1.2 million bricks, maze

On the night of arriving, it rained patteringly in Yangzhou. I sent a message in the taxi telling the housekeeper to arrive at the hotel around 9 o'clock. I didn't want the housekeeper to stand in the cold wind with umbrellas to welcome us. I like this beginning.

Our housekeeper is a young and lovely little sister. She led us into a dark alley. My father, who had not done his homework, must be confused at this moment. Hungry children picked up handmade cookies and small oranges in the lobby of the hotel. I've heard that the oranges here are delicious, but I didn't expect them to be so sweet.

The housekeeper told us that the corridors and passages extending in all directions of Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum are like Yangzhou alleys. 1.2 million old bricks were moved here to build it. This number should be shocking to every resident. We nodded frequently, and the word "maze" reflected in our hearts.

The operating model of the Qingpu Cultural Tourism Center is "one price all-inclusive", and food, accommodation and play (the hotel calls "play" as "text", and we will elaborate on it later) are all included in the package we stay in. What moved us was that it was half past nine and the restaurant was still waiting for us for dinner.

We had no hope for the word "set meal", but we didn't expect that the first meal would subvert our views. From cold dishes to sweet soups, every dish is carefully made, with all colors, aroma and flavor, and the Huaiyang flavor is undoubtedly evident. The thing that made me praise the most about this meal was the roast Ma 'anshan Bridge. The soup is thick, the eel section is crispy and fragrant, and the flavor is meaningful.

Soft and fragrant building, painted boat

Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Center has only 20 rooms in total. The room types are divided into soft fragrant small buildings, warm fragrant small buildings, warm fragrant small buildings and private courtyard suites. No matter which type of room type, it has its own unique structure and name.

We lived in a soft and fragrant building called "Painting Boat". There were no secrets in the room that was complete and suitable for parent-child families like us. The design of the small building is simple and clear, focusing on practicality and comfort.

The room with floor heating was simply the savior of this rainy winter. The children lay on the ground casually and played without worrying about catching a cold at all.

The small orange on the coffee table was something we couldn't forget when we checked in, which made us overjoyed. The room is full of poetic experiences, whether it is the map placed on the table, the poetry poems lying on the bed, or the decorations erected on the table.

The children asked why there was no TV in the room? We searched around, but there was really no one. Maybe the Qingpu Cultural Museum really wanted us to stay away from the hustle and bustle and calm down to experience this time, space and artistic conception.

Ordinary people like us, without the TV, still take out the pad in a cowardly manner.

Early in the morning, we found that there were endless curtains in the room. Each window looked out with a different view, and there was also a skylight on the roof, which made the lighting in the room more outstanding.

Every household has a small courtyard. I don't know which door or window it is hiding under brick walls.

Authentic Yangzhou morning tea

In the morning, I opened my eyes and found Togo doing winter vacation homework in front of the window. The landscape in front of him was like a carefully carved art painting. Looking at it made people read more pages and think more about life philosophies. Togo also seems to be embedded in a painting, with a kind of picture of the ancients hanging on the beams, which makes the old mother very happy.

Unfortunately, today is not a good day, with sporadic light rain. Hurry into the restaurant and a hearty breakfast awaits us.

The breakfast was as grand as yesterday's dinner, and we were also presented with a clear menu. Before coming here, I always wanted to go to Yangzhou's famous time-honored Fuchun Tea House for morning tea and enjoy a few steamed buns, but I had to be confined by an all-inclusive meal. I was quite critical of this. But, taking a look at the menu, I was relieved.

The morning tea at Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Center contains all the Yangzhou flavors I want to try, such as crystal meat, Gaoyou salted eggs, private pickles, and scalded dried dried shrimp. Everything is delicious and appetizing.

The big dishes are large buns with crab meal, green vegetables, and fine sand. The steamed buns are eaten in an instant. Yangzhou-style Yangchun noodles taste very special. Of course, my favorite is Beijing Fruit Powder * Jingang Umbilicus, coupled with Green Yangchun tea. I will give this breakfast a 100 point.

The full table made us feel like the emperor's treatment, but the amount was too much. We took the two children with our hearts and minds but lacked strength. Our stomachs were full and our mouths still wanted to eat.

My father ate three buns and held his sister's little face while swiping his phone. He was very satisfied thinking about it.

The restaurant of Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum is called Foreign Kitchen. It claims that you can taste the century-old secret Huaiyang cuisine without leaving the museum. After two meals, we believe that there must be star-rated chefs hidden here.

There are also many "secrets" hidden in the bar of the restaurant. We can buy many delicious foods we tasted in foreign chefs here. Moreover, soft drinks here are for full drinks. No wonder my younger sister, who is short of height, still keeps holding on to Batai and touching small biscuits.

The interest of gold and stone opens the door to seal cutting

Before starting our handmade experience, let me first say a few words about the "artistic and cultural experience" of the Qingpu Cultural Center. The word art and literature is a general term for art, culture, etc. You can experience a variety of art and cultural activities at the Qingpu Yangzhou Travel Museum, such as the interest of handmade courses, the thousands of years on paper, and the wearing of purple hairpin and yellow pendant tassel, as well as the water filling Yangzhou, the search for Slender West Lake, and the first grade of green Yang Chun that we have not experienced. There are as many as 58 artistic and cultural experience activities in the museum. According to the museum's schedule, you can choose to participate in 1 to 3 artistic and cultural activities per day in the check-in package.

Qingpu's artistic and cultural experience is not to kill children like making colored clay or drawing a kite. Look at the hand-made space, a tool for real work on the wall, and you can smell that it has a big background. Indeed, experiencing intangible cultural heritage works can be achieved immediately here. We are laypeople. We have experienced three intangible cultural heritage masterpieces in three days, and we suddenly feel like we have something to do with the word "elegant".

"The Interest of Gold and Stone" is an experience about the process of seal cutting. The lecturer, Tang Shengyao, has a great background. He is Wu Changshuo's re-disciple. He gave us an interesting lesson in the history of seal cutting, and our ears were filled with stories about great calligraphers, Mi Fu, Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Song Huizong, Wang Fu 'an...

A neat set of seal cutting tools was placed in front of everyone. After listening to the class, we could learn to carve an exclusive seal with our own hands.

Seal cutting itself has no aesthetics. The aesthetics comes from calligraphy. I don't know how much my sister has listened to it, but drawing the gourd in the same way is quite impressive.

The grindstone also took time and greatly tested her patience.

Although her sister couldn't read and didn't have the strength to carve, she tried every step of seal cutting and had an impression in her mind. My brother is obviously interested in history, and Teacher Tang's vivid lesson makes him feel very involved. As for Mom and Dad, they were very interested in trying seal cutting for the first time.

Teacher Tang has the same family structure as our family, which brings us closer together. He carved the seal of the word "Gengzi" for the children, which is very suitable for this season when we bid farewell to the old and welcome the new and enter the Year of the Rat.

Qingpu Tongqu

Do you think that children may not be able to sit still while experiencing art and culture? Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Travel Museum is also worried. Therefore, the museum opened a new children's playground in 2019, which is a single building.

This small villa has a unique hole in it, with many toys hidden in it, since there were not many guests, we booked the venue, and the brother and sister had the joy of playing hide-and-seek and treasure hunting.

We picked up this big floor-to-ceiling window sill, lying here reading books and swiping our phones, which is the best picture to live harmoniously with our children.

Salted duck and salmon and avocado salad

Lunch time is from 12:00 to 14:30. After coming out of the children's playground, the children ran to the restaurant happily.

The restaurant uses simple color matching and lines as well as the reflection of the lake to become the person who takes photos. Foreign Kitchen Restaurant is the place we visit most in the past few days, and it always gives us different surprises every time.

Salted goose is a famous dish in Yangzhou. This famous dish in Huaiyang cuisine with a history of more than 2000 years is fresh and salty. After eating, you can buy vacuum-packed food at the restaurant. What surprised the children the most was the hidden menu. Outside the menu, there is always an exclusive gift for the children. Yesterday's dinner was French fries, and today's lunch is a fashionable salmon and avocado salad. The salad is made of potato chips as a base and is complemented with the stimulation of mustard sauce. The taste is particularly novel and appetizing.

Don't think that the set meal won't be exquisite. Look at this plate of medicinal celery fried rice. It conforms to the fact that the rice needs to be separated from the grains and the dishes need to maintain the highest level of green fried rice.

Experience the art of papermaking through thousands of years in paper

Our second artistic and cultural experience is called Qianqiu in the Paper. By making a unique floral paper by children themselves, this is obviously more in line with children's nature.

Speaking of which, this is the third time that the children have made paper. The first time they made Dongba paper in Yunnan, and the second time they did experiments in papermaking in a classroom where they studied and thought. Nowadays, the children are so happy. The four great inventions came from the book easily, but I don't know how much they can learn.

Compared with the seal cutting experience in the morning, papermaking is much more down-to-earth for children. After a beating and soaking, sprinkle with dried leaves and dried flowers according to their preferences. This may be the origin of the beautiful name "Thousand Years in the Paper".

Each of our family made a work, either ostentatiously or gracefully, and stamped it with a seal carved by hand in the morning, and a high-level art painting was born.

A bowl of considerate white porridge

When I met the housekeeper in the afternoon, I accidentally mentioned that I had a bad stomach. I didn't want the speaker to be careless and the listener to be intentional. When I sat down in the restaurant, the housekeeper told me,"I heard you talk about a bad stomach, so I specially asked the restaurant to prepare a bowl of porridge for you." To be honest, I was completely moved.

This feeling of being at home once again made me rate the service of Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Center five-star.

The trip to the museum at night made the children a little afraid, afraid of what would pop up behind the bricks. This profound sense of history can only be deeply understood by being inside it, especially in this cold and humid winter.

Breakfast has changed

In the past few days when we came to Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum, our belly has been full. We asked the housekeeper that the breakfast was too large and we were afraid that we would not be able to eat it and waste it. Should we reduce the amount? The housekeeper smiled mischievously and said,"Today's breakfast is a buffet."

Each took the Chinese breakfast we needed, which also allowed us to eat another delicious food after the crab meal big bun-Sanding Bao. Yangzhou is the world of steamed buns. You must eat steamed buns when you come here, believe me.

The housekeeper remembered that his sister loved to drink milk and would pour her a cup at every meal. As for other people's tea, from our check-in to check-out, there was no duplicate meal... The brother and sister would praise "The food here is so delicious!" Facts have also proved that Togo, a second-grade boy, eats more than his mother.

Mistake silver into the painting and make a "nothing card" by hand

During the three days and two nights we stayed in the museum, we were interspersed with food art, and every day when we came to the handmade space, it was as exciting as opening a treasure chest in a game.

After breakfast, I found that the manual space had been neatly prepared with a set of tools for each of us. Today's artistic and cultural experience is called "Wearing a Purple Hairpin and Yellow Tassels", which can be traced back to ancient times by hearing the name. I personally prefer another name for this art, called "Wrong Silver Into Painting". This name perfectly presents the movements and artistic conception.

In layman's terms, this artistic and cultural experience is to make a "no matter card" that symbolizes peace. This is a labor-consuming process. Like yesterday's "Fun of Gold and Stone", we reserve an hour and a half of artistic and cultural experience. It took us two and a half hours to complete the first sample.

This fine job tests the children's patience very much. The thin silver wire is stuck into the groove of the no matter card, beaten with a small hammer, polished with sandpaper, and paired with tassels. An exquisite no matter card is completed. This is no different from the crafts sold in gift shops.

Obviously, the children loved the "no matter cards" they made by themselves and took photos with them. After returning home, they both held their own no-event cards and cherished them, and kept showing their results to their grandparents. They couldn't put them down.

Only Brick knows

With so many topics written on it about food and art, you may be a little tired. The fun of eating and playing can only be roughly seen in the photos. You can only feel how fun and delicious it is if you experience it yourself.

At the beginning, we mentioned a reference. The wall of Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Center is built with 1.2 million old bricks and stacked spaces. The wall is both a boundary and a consensus, both a separation and a connection. It is both a corridor and passage extending in all directions, and a cave. Scenery and elegant picture frame.

In Qingpu Yangzhou Travel Hall, the arrangement of these bricks is both square and non-routine. The staggered, layered and hollow design makes these bricks a natural labyrinth for children.

These bricks have also become the best scenery in the eyes of photographers. You can find Mini programs called "Qingpu × Cheese" in the museum. These Mini programs will tell you where to take pictures of Qingpu, discover the photo spots, and teach you to take beautiful photos.

Obviously, the little models in our family are still relatively immature and can only pat them on the fun of flying between bricks. It is too difficult to have a literary style.

There is a person taking photos at the entrance of the hotel reception, but the children regard it as a hide-and-seek place and can't stop at all. Forgive me for not taking pictures of its beauty.

There is a person taking photos at the entrance of the hotel reception, but the children regard it as a hide-and-seek place and can't stop at all. Forgive me for not taking pictures of its beauty.

The second floor of the brick wall has a sense of history that has experienced many vicissitudes. This retro feeling makes us imagine that we have climbed the Great Wall.

At the top of the brick wall, we discovered another secret hidden in the hotel, which retains the four-room thousand-step willow, lotus root flower style, Han moon mirror and bright moon night.

There is also a towering ancient tree in the museum. It is beautiful to pose a poetic shape under the tree in spring.

The pool of water at the entrance of the restaurant is also the best interpretation of the Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum.

I like the photo below very much. My father is walking slowly from the alley, and the children are waiting for him here.

I think maybe every brick here can hear our laughter.

See the rockery through the bricks

Sister turned this place into a stage

The brother and sister had a great time

Laugh heartlessly

If Brick has memories, then only Brick knows our happiness.

parting

We started our trip to the Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Museum with food, so the way to bid farewell was also a feast.

Don't think that Qingpu is only good at Chinese Huaiyang cuisine. It is also outstanding when making steaks. Let you see Qingpu's menu. From cold dishes, hot dishes, big dishes, staple foods, and desserts, everything is not repeated, and everything tastes outstanding. There are also extra children's dishes in addition to the menu.

The children's complimentary dish for this meal is "Lotus Crispy", which is both beautiful and delicious. The younger sister raised her hands to express that she was eating delicious food here, while the older brother gained a few pounds from eating with practical actions. This is why I spent so much space to write down every meal in the restaurant.

Say goodbye to Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Center

We came on this trip by high-speed rail because we were determined to leave the hotel. However, Qingpu Yangzhou Cultural Travel Center is located in Yangzhou's Han-Tang Cultural Scenic Area, and the surrounding area is very suitable for visiting. You will be out of Yangzhou Hanling Garden, 2.4 kilometers away from Daming Temple and 4 kilometers away from Yangzhou Slender West Lake Scenic Area.

The gate of Qingpu was low-key and hidden, so much so that when we arrived in the middle of the night, the taxi driver wondered if we had made a mistake. After leaving this door, we returned to the colorful world. The freshness and elegance of these three days made us feel inner peace.

The high-speed railway from Shanghai to Yangzhou is expected to open to traffic this year. Currently, the high-speed railway requires Shanghai to travel to Zhenjiang or Zhenjiang River before taking a taxi. Or you can also buy two high-speed trains from Shanghai to Nanjing and Nanjing to Yangzhou.

Take a family photo of all our handmade works during this trip. Everyone created their own artistic and cultural creations. I think this is the best souvenir during the trip.

about us

We are a standard family for ordinary working-class people born in the 1980s, and we are mixed in the vast sea of people like millions of you.

We have a public account at home called"What a pair of wings", because my brother is called Duoduo and my sister is called Shuangshuang, we hope that they will have more wings than others, fly far, and understand the wonders of this world.
