Zhangjiajie Love and Pain

It has been more than ten days since our group returned from a trip to Zhangjiajie, but the impression of the trip is still imprinted in our hearts for a long time. It's really a lot of emotions that are complicated to explain. There are many gains, as well as many regrets and dissatisfaction. To sum it up in someone else's words,"mountain beauty is not beautiful."

From the perspective of natural scenery, Zhangjiajie is really worth a visit. Whenever you lean on the railing by the mountain and look down, you are really relaxed and filled with emotion (Because we followed the guide's guidance and took the cableway up, there was no chance to see the mountain from a lower perspective. On the last day, we insisted on walking down the mountain from Tianzi Mountain and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.) The pillar mountain is really magical and breathtaking. In the words of one of our older brothers: "Even if we build it, we can't build it so high." No wonder the Internet said that the mountains here should be based on their roots. From a photography perspective, the scenery there is very beautiful, which makes people sigh that the camera card is too small and the camera's performance is not strong enough, especially the wide angle. The wider it is here, the better. Moreover, Zhangjiajie's vegetation is particularly good, the air is particularly fresh, and it is said that the anion content is particularly high. Coming here from the bustling city, I really sigh that there are such places on earth. It has beautiful scenery, rich vegetation, fresh air, and amazing mountain views. I really hope that there will be more such places on earth, so that we will have less worries about environmental damage.

Let's briefly talk about our itinerary.

The first day was Huangshi Village and Jinbian River, and the second day was Yuanjia Boundary and Tianzi Mountain. Huangshi Village is quite classic, but it has a lot of people. We went there after the National Day, and there are still a lot of group guests. Since the tour guide said that it would take a long time to climb the mountain, we took the cableway directly for fear of delay. Huangshi Village was developed early. You can see from its popularity that it is full of people and bustling. If you want to taste Zhangjiajie carefully, you will be disappointed in Huangshi Village. Jinbian River is really nice. Although the distance is 7.5 kilometers long, you don't feel tired all the way. It is rich in plants, the rapids are murdering, and there are monkeys on the roadside. They are not afraid of people. They will also catch people and grab food. The only regret on this day was that the tour guide always urged people to walk quickly, making people feel that they couldn't enjoy themselves.

The next day, we learned the lessons from the first day and adjusted the itinerary. First, we changed Huanglong Cave to Yuanjiajie. This was the impression we got from online travel notes. It said that Yuanjiajie was more beautiful and the caves were similar, which was meaningless. Of course, this matter varied opinions and caused controversy. In the end, we agreed that we would rather lose some points (tickets to Huanglong Cave have been added to the tour fare, and travel to Yuanjia Jie has been included in the ticket, but tour guide fees are required) than go to Yuanjia Jie; the second is to declare to the tour guide that we should stop urging people and make us go around the scenery and rush, and let us do whatever we want and taste Zhangjiajie.

We climbed the Yuan family's realm on the ladder that is known as the number one in Asia (or the world). The access to the elevator is like a Beijing subway or a luxury shopping mall. It feels weird to get inside from the natural scenery all at once. Yuanjiajie really deserves its reputation. The scenery is indeed better than Huangshi Village. The mountains are more dangerous and steep, and the horizons are wider. It feels like it is less popular, but it is suitable for self-guided tours. We have a good taste of the natural scenery, and the tour guide has also become more restrained. It feels better than the first day, and finally feels worthwhile. Tianzi Mountain and Helong Park are bustling again. Tianzi Mountain is not bad, with fewer attractions. Yun Qingyan in Helong Park is very good,

After visiting the scenic spots, we began to go down the mountain. It slowly began to rain. In the blink of an eye, fog began to rise on the mountain. It was really beautiful. We took photos while going down the mountain, and we finally had the opportunity to have close contact with the mountain by taking the cableway (ladder) up and down the mountain. Feels good. The Shili Gallery at the foot of the mountain is also very beautiful. Along the way, I felt unforgettable watching and taking photos in the rain. It would be a pity to take a small train and cost 20 yuan per person. This is the end of the journey.

But the annoying thing is not over, and it immediately reaches its peak. It can be said that there are many traps and many scammers. Such a beautiful place is really loved and painful. No wonder when the tour guide on the return bus asked people to use artificial words, some people said "furious".

1. The tour guide regrets. The little tour guide gave us a good impression at first. She called herself a Tujia girl (99% of the girls here would call herself). She was average but very photogenic, but then we gradually came up with an opinion. First, the tour guide is not professional and doesn't talk well about what scenic spots he goes to. He just says,"This is XXX". In fact, there are introduction boards next to the scenic spots, so she doesn't need to talk about it if it's so simple. The other tour guides we met were very dedicated and talked non-stop on a ground. Second, there is too much shopping, which is also a major feature. Group tourists are advised to pay attention. It is said that tour guides in Zhangjiajie have no salary and rely entirely on shopping commissions. Therefore, tour guides frantically take us to shopping spots. On the third day, we were called up at 6 a.m. and transferred to shopping spots. Before returning to Zhangjiajie City, we were forced to transfer to 4 shopping spots, feeling as if we were being sold to compensate the tour guide for the loss yesterday. (She is the "Western International Travel Service")

2. Tianzi Pavilion. There is Tianzi Pavilion on Tianzi Mountain. The building is very high and it says that you are welcome to climb and look far away. Be careful, when you go upstairs on the first floor, you must stick to the right wall, otherwise you will accidentally enter the place where the monk is doing rituals. After entering, you will naturally use rhetoric, incense and merit records. In the end, you will pay out of your pocket. One person in the same industry was recruited. (It is said that there is a similar trap in Fengdu City in the Three Gorges. If you don't make a statement in advance, you will be given incense first and charged after you finish burning it.)

3. The sedan chair carrier. The sedan chair carriers on Tianzi Mountain (there are also other scenic spots, but they have not tried it before, so you can't talk nonsense) are very good at getting business. It was agreed to go down the mountain for 30 yuan, but it turned out that it was 30 yuan to go down the first hillside of Tianzi Mountain (a total of 5 people going down the mountain for 5 people). One person in the same industry was recruited. It originally agreed to go down the mountain for 30 yuan, but finally it cost 130 yuan to lift it to the foot of the mountain. In fact, to be fair, 130 yuan is not much. It is very difficult for two sedan carriers to work on such a high mountain, but it is not good to engage in fraud. We saw it with our own eyes that three ladies had a dispute with the sedan chair carrier on the first hillside. The guests said they would pay 30 yuan to go to the foot of the mountain, but the sedan chair carrier said that this was the foot of the mountain. The female guest called her mobile phone to report or ask for help, but she didn't know what the consequences would be. Later, when we were going down the mountain, we met another sedan chair carrier. He quoted the price of the sedan chair for the entire journey down the mountain and up the mountain at about 160 and 180. We felt it was reasonable. It would cost 52 and 42 yuan to get up and down the mountain by cableway. It was impossible to take a sedan chair down the mountain at 30 yuan.

4. Polygonum multiflorum scam. On the way down the mountain, I saw a mountain dweller standing on the roadside grabbing on the next mountain and grabbing something. He shouted,"Good things have been dug out." He claimed to be Polygonum multiflorum. The asking price was 50 yuan, and the transaction was sold at 10 yuan. Two people in the same company were caught, and the owner of the food store next to him also had a set. After going back and washing, they found that it was assembled from radishes and toothpicks and smeared with mud on the outside. What a unique plan.

5. Zixia Temple Trap. Black-hearted Taoist priests (is it true, but there is a sign of the Zhangjiajie Taoist Association hanging at the door), seven people were recruited and worked hard to climb the mountain to listen to the black-hearted Taoist priest explain it to you, and then paid for it. At least one to two hundred, and you can also bargain, and there is no limit to the number. The tour guide will be given a commission per head.

6. Gem Shopping Point (there is no place that feels the most deceiving than this). On the way to the store, the tour guide told us that you are all from Shijiazhuang, remember. We are still a little confused. But the good show soon began. When we arrived at the gem store (it seemed to be called "Yuhua" or something) and entered the "VIP room", there was a young commentator who came forward to introduce them and made a big fuss about how rich their boss was and how many stores he opened. At this time, the good show came on stage. The young man asked himself in surprise and answered himself, saying, You are all from Shijiazhuang. What a coincidence, our boss is also from Shijiazhuang. He happened to be inspecting this store today, so I quickly called our boss over. After a while, a man with oily hair, pink-faced and obscene appearance came on stage. He called himself "Ah Hua" and was the boss here. He started to recite his lines and continued to brag, saying that he was from Shijiazhuang, from XXXX, where his relatives lived, that he grew up in a foreign country, and how rich he was (Notice that some of the content did not correspond to what the young man said.) When I met the people from my hometown, the swindler changed the topic and said: "Don't buy jade from me. The price here is high. It's all deceiving Koreans and Japanese.(It seems that foreigners are fools), let me show you. Then he began to shop endlessly.(It seemed like he was a big boss, who set up a stall to sell wild medicine.) Some people in the same industry had already walked out of the store when they saw the opportunity, but they couldn't bear the scammers 'eloquence. They saw the price tag of tens of thousands of yuan and hundreds of thousands of yuan. You can only buy it for one to two hundred yuan, and there are still about 5 people who are recruited. (After watching TV after returning home, CCTV also exposed a tourist shopping spot where jade articles priced at hundreds of thousands of yuan could be purchased for several thousand yuan or several hundred yuan. It can be seen that the tricks of the scammers are getting better and better and their ability to grasp people's psychology is getting better and better.)

7. Tea shopping spots. It's just the same old thing: tasting tea first, then selling tea. The shopping mall seems to be called Yufeng or something, which is said to be the largest one. Of course, tour guides also get a commission based on the head and the amount of shopping.

8. Tujia Mei local specialty shopping spot. On the way back to the urban area of Zhangjiajie, I turned to another spot on the way. It was called Tujiamei Specialty Supermarket. It felt okay. The transparent operation room allowed you to see the raw materials and production process. Then there was the supermarket. We bought something here. It felt good. Although it may be a little expensive, it may be real. Later, at our insistence, we walked around the "Tiancheng Jingfan" supermarket in the city and felt that some things were cheap in the city, such as chopped pepper sauce, while some things were expensive in the city (the local specialties of the supermarket in the city were "Tianzishan" brand, and the one on the way was "Tujia Girl" brand).

Finally, we embarked on the train home, felt mentally relieved, and finally left the scammer. Looking back at Zhangjiajie, we are left with both beautiful mountains and helpless people. To be fair, the management of the Zhangjiajie scenic spot is relatively standardized, with IC card tickets. The scenic spot is extremely clean and no debris on the road can be seen. The unified transportation vehicles in the scenic spot avoid chaos in the scenic spot. Teams of tourists, including many Koreans, come here, bringing a lot of income here. However, sedan-chair carriers, monks, Taoist priests, Polygonum multiflorum and shopping malls have ruined people's good impression of this place. I am really worried that foreigners who come here and encounter such an incident will have a bad impression of China. At the same time, I feel that tourism has become stale, especially group tourism, which is too restricted and restricted, and people have no dignity or freedom at all. I believe that with the change of time, more and more people are taking self-guided tours and personalized tours. It is also necessary to change, otherwise if this continues, China's tourism industry will definitely be destroyed.
