The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is located in Sanguansi Township, Cili County, Zhangjiajie City, close to the World Natural Heritage Site and World Geopark Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is a newly developed and constructed tourist attraction. The Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge is the highest and longest glass bridge in the world. The bridge is built on the peaks on both sides of the Grand Canyon and spans the Grand Canyon bungee jumping platform. The relative height of the bridge arch from the valley bottom is about 400 meters, and the total length is about 370 meters. The bridge deck is all paved with transparent glass, and there is the world's highest bungee jumping in the center of the bridge.

The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon originally had two names. One was called Lanchuan Gorge: it originated from Shenquan River, and the water from the entire Grand Canyon and the Hongqi Canal in the south came from here. It is said that many rotten boat boards poured out from the spring holes before. The local people couldn't know where the rotten boat boards came from, so it was named "Lanchuan Gorge"; the other name was called Luanquan Gorge: it refers to the two stone walls in the canyon. There are many streams and springs that fly across the gorge.

There are many waterfalls and divine springs in the Grand Canyon. It is dizzying to visit the entire way. The vegetation in the canyon is lush, as if you have come to a paradise. There is a quiet stream between the Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie.

Traffic information:

Zhangjiajie Urban Area-Grand Canyon Scenic Area:

1. Central Bus Station-Jiangya Hot Spring (usually runs every hour), the fare is about 15 yuan. You pass through the Grand Canyon Scenic Area on the way, so you can take this shuttle bus. However, the place to reach the Grand Canyon Scenic Area is only the Grand Canyon Exit Parking Lot, which is a long way away from the Grand Canyon Ticket Office. Here, you can take the scenic area eco-friendly vehicle (free) to the ticket office. There are signs in the parking lot and usually it is full;

2. Go to Wulingyuan from Zhangjiajie first (every 30 minutes or so). The fare is about 12 yuan and it takes more than an hour. Then take a special bus from Wulingyuan to the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. Wulingyuan-Grand Canyon Scenic Area:1. Wulingyuan Bus Station-Grand Canyon Special Line Bus (runs every 30 minutes or so). The fare is about 15 yuan and takes 40 minutes. The place you arrive at is the Grand Canyon Ticket Office. Warm tip: If you are driving yourself, there is also a parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area to park your car.

Driving Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon in Changsha:

Changsha-(Jingchangchang Expressway)→ Changde-(Changchangzhang Expressway)→ Zhangjiajie City-→ Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon

Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Bus Lines:

1. The most convenient bus from Wulingyuan is the line bus from Wulingyuan to Cili. 15 kilometers (up to 20 minutes)

2. If you leave from Zhangjiajie, you can take the bus from the city to Wulingyuan. Turn on the line bus to Cili. (It's nearly 50 kilometers away, a little more than an hour, without waiting for a bus)

The routes of the elite scenic spots are: entrance to the visitor center--line of sky--slide--Rainbow Square--treasure hunting elevator up--Tianhang plank road--glass bridge--glass bridge at the exit of the visitor center. The entire tour takes about half a day!

Tips for visiting the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon:

Scenic area opening hours:7:00-17:00

1. The scenic spots are limited. The earlier you book, the better. All tourist identity information is required when booking.

2. The Grand Canyon is divided into three tourist routes, B/C. Line B is a big ticket + glass bridge, and Line C is a single glass bridge.

3. This ticket is a ticket for the Grand Canyon + Glass Bridge on Line B and cannot be cancelled after successful booking.

4. Children under 1.3 meters do not need to purchase tickets. Line B offers discounts for children over 1.3 meters, the elderly, and students. If there are children, please pre-purchase parking spaces in advance (60 yuan), otherwise arrangements cannot be made.

Tourists entering the scenic spot must make online reservations, and only when booking is successful can they enter the scenic spot.

The Grand Canyon on-site ticketing window does not sell adult tickets. Only discount tickets (such as elderly tickets, student tickets, local tickets, etc.) are sold. Please book full-price adult tickets online. A total of 8000 people per day: 6000 people for the team, 1000 people for individual customers, and 1000 people for online tickets. Reservations must be made one day in advance. Important things must be repeated. It's best to buy tickets online many days in advance. It's even harder to buy tickets during peak seasons.

Warm reminder: Students and the elderly cannot be booked in advance and need to go to the on-site window of the scenic spot to purchase them.

Note: Once the reservation is made, it will not be refunded or changed (a full refund can be made if the scenic spot is due to reasons.) A successful reservation does not mean that there is a ticket.
