China's karst caves have their own characteristics. Some are magnificent, some are unique in shape, and some are ethereal. These karst caves are spread all over the country and have local characteristics, but none of them are as unique as Jiutian Xuannu Cave in Maoyan River Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. It has just been certified as a "world's best." Everyone has the opportunity to come here to experience the magical craftsmanship of nature.
The world's largest single cave stone pillar has been certified and is majestic
On August 8, the WRCA world certification record for the "World's Largest Single Karst Cave Stone Pillar" held in Jiutian Xuannu Cave in Maoyan River Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province achieved complete success. I was also there and visited the Jiutian Xuannu Cave at the same time. I deeply felt this wonder from nature.
The Jiutian Xuannu Cave is named because it has nine skylights that are connected to the outside ground. It is divided into three major levels: upper, middle and lower. There are 36 themed halls and more than 100 scenic spots in the cave. It can be visited by more than 2.5 million square meters, equivalent to the size of 400 football fields, and the lowest level is more than 470 meters away from the surface. After three field inspections by the International Cave Association, it was unanimously recognized that this cave is "Asia's largest hole". It enjoys the reputation of "World Miracle" and "Crown of the World's Cave".
Previously, a stone pillar with a height of about 12 meters, a low end circumference of about 21.5 meters, and a middle circumference of about 18 meters was found in Jiutian Xuannu Cave. Before it was certified, the scenic area did a lot of homework, and it was determined after investigation that it would be the largest single cave stone pillar in the world. Today, it was successfully certified by the world record certification agency WORLD RECORD CERTIFICATION (WRCA). In the future, this will be another masterpiece of Jiutian Xuannu Cave. I also went to see the stone pillar, which was majestic and amazing.
In addition to the rarity of the karst cave that has just been certified, the Jiutian Xuannu Cave is also of great historical significance to archaeology and biology. More than 800 million years ago, when seawater fell, countless calcium hydrogen carbonate reacted cumulatively to form the present Jiutian Xuannu Cave. The wind of history blew, and rhinoceros skeleton fossils were also found in the cave. About 4 million years ago, which is important for archaeology and biology. Science is of great significance.
The cave is warm in winter and cool in summer, making it suitable for a vacation
In nature, calcium carbonate becomes soluble calcium hydrogen carbonate when it encounters water containing carbon dioxide. When the water containing calcium hydrogen carbonate is heated or when the pressure suddenly becomes small, the calcium hydrogen carbonate dissolved in the water will decompose and become calcium carbonate and deposited again. At the same time, carbon dioxide is emitted. This chemical reaction accumulates infinitely to form the myriad wonders of the cave. Generally, the karst caves are below the surface, which causes the temperature in the Jiutian Xuannu Cave to remain at around 16 degrees all year round. When Hunan is hot in summer and cold in winter, you will feel like you are in heaven when you enter the cave entrance. It is a great place to escape heat in summer and winter.
Coolness is my first impression of Jiutian Xuannu Cave. It was scorching sun outside. As soon as I reached the entrance of the cave, I felt a coolness coming to my face. It was refreshing. There were still water droplets dripping on the wall of the cave, and moss grew beside the wet road, which could be rubbed out by stepping on it. The temperature in the cave is about 16 degrees. Having such a place in the scorching summer is simply a paradise. I heard that it is also 16 degrees in winter and it is covered with snow outside. It is as warm as spring here, which is perfect for winter.
The scenic spots in the cave are exciting and amazing
The Jiutian Xuannu Cave with karst landform is located in Shuidong Village, Lifuta Town, Sangzhi County, west of Zhangjiajie City and north of Wulingyuan. It is 70 kilometers away from Zhangjiajie City, 102 kilometers away from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and 17 kilometers away from Sangzhi County. Transportation is very convenient.
After being discovered by adventure warriors in 1987 and opened to the public the following year, countless tourists came from all over the country to visit through Marshal He Long's hometown, Sangzhi County. Starting from the entrance to the entrance of the cave, you have to pass through a dance hall, two jade ponds, three longjing wells, four underground rivers, five bridges, six caves, seven lakes, eight fields, nine skylight windows, ten waterfalls, etc. before you exit the entrance of the cave. During your journey, you will find many kinds of caves, including stalactites, stone pillars, etc. The stalagmite forests are like the Three Thousand Strange Peak in Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie. Tourists who come to visit also call the Jiutian Xuannu Cave "Underground Zhangjiajie".
If you know the legend of Xuan Nu assisting the army, then it means that you are halfway through it. Legend has it that the emperor and Chiyou fought fiercely here. Because of the powerful force of Chiyou's soldiers, the Yellow Emperor lost nine battles and nine battles. After knowing about this, the Queen Mother of the West ordered Xuan Nu to come and protect her. In the end, she won a victory over Chiyou and the world became peaceful.
The strangeness of the scenery of the cave is inseparable from the support and protection of the local government. They have added a lot of artificial colors to the original wonder of the cave. Walking in the cave, each place they visit changes different lights according to the different characteristics of the area. Add a lot of flavor to the cave. At the same time, a long time tunnel was built, which was projected in 3D. People could hear the cries of dinosaurs while walking in it. Walking there, light and shadow have a very harmonious relationship. Dinosaurs are on the ground, trees are lush, and Buddha-making people are standing in the dinosaur period of ancient times, which is very interesting.
Hundreds of millions of years ago, nature gave such a gift to Zhangjiajie City. The Jiutian Xuannu Cave is a kind of collapse caused by dry seas and rocks and water-soluble mountains. The largest single karst cave stone pillar that has been successfully certified is also the stalactite pillar that has been solidified for the longest time. Everyone has the opportunity to come here to escape the heat. Go and meet the world's largest single karst cave stone pillar and experience the incredible craftsmanship of nature!
