Zhangjiajie belongs to a prefecture-level city in Hunan Province, located in the northwest of Hunan and in the middle and upper reaches of the Lishui River. Formerly known as Dayong City, it includes Yongding District and Wulingyuan District, as well as Cili County and Sangzhi County. Zhangjiajie was established due to tourism and is one of the most important tourist cities in China. The biggest feature of Wulingyuan's attractions is that the scenery you can see at the same attraction at different times is completely different. Although Zhangjiajie has different peerless scenery all year round, for ordinary tourists, summer is too hot and winter is too cold. The most suitable seasons for traveling are spring and autumn. 1. Wear casual and comfortable clothes, hiking shoes or non-slip sneakers. Girls must never wear skirts and high heels. You will want to die when climbing mountains.

2. Bring water and a small amount of food (beef jerky, chocolate, fruit are top choices) to replenish your strength in time.

3. From the luggage storage office of Zhangjiajie Bus Station (on the left hand side of the bus station where you pass the security check), you can check your luggage directly to the Hilltop Inn. When you go down the mountain, you can also check your luggage from the inn. Small luggage is 20 yuan/piece per trip. Remember to pack it lightly.

4. During the tourist season, try not to take the cable car up and down the mountain. The capacity of the Bailong Stairway and Tianzi Mountain cableway is 2000 people/hour and 3600 people/hour respectively, and the queue must be at least 1-2 hours.

As a famous tourist city, Zhangjiajie has very convenient transportation. Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport has opened flights to Zhangjiajie from more than 20 cities. Zhangjiajie Railway Station also has trains to and from all parts of the country. Although it is not a big station, more than 10 major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Xi'an, Kunming, Zhengzhou, Wuchang, and Changsha have trains directly to Zhangjiajie. Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station has long-distance buses from some large and medium-sized cities inside and outside the province, as well as short-distance buses to scenic spots around Zhangjiajie City and nearby counties and cities.

1. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is one of the attractions in Wulingyuan Scenic Area and one of the most famous must-see attractions in Zhangjiajie.
