I don't know if it's fate, but I have never been to Zhangjiajie.

One day in midsummer, several friends took me to Zhangjiajie, checked my ticket, and flew directly from Shanghai Pudong Airport to Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport in just two and a half hours. Then let's go, fate has arrived.

Probably, there is no Chinese who don't know about Zhangjiajie, right? Zhangjiajie is a prefecture-level city in Hunan Province. It is located in the northwest of Hunan and belongs to the hinterland of the Wuling Mountains. Established due to tourism, it is one of the most important tourist cities in China.

When it comes to Xiangxi, the word "mystery" will inadvertently appear in people's minds. Xiangxi is a mysterious country in the eyes of the world and a border town written by a master. Here, there are too many beautiful scenery and too many legends.

During that trip, I stayed in Zhangjiajie for three days and two nights, which was actually not enough. This trip was mainly in Wulingyuan, and I didn't even visit Zhangjiajie City. It's a pity. Next time I have the opportunity to stay for a few more days.

Wulingyuan Scenic Area is the core scenic spot of Zhangjiajie. It is a world natural heritage site. It is the country's first batch of world geological parks and the first batch of national 5A-level tourist attractions.

This trip was quite fun because of a few good friends. We went climbing together, sat in a small bar at night and chatted, and cooped up in a coffee shop in the afternoon... In my memories, there are smiles.

For travelers visiting Zhangjiajie for the first time, the little girl feels that the following three things must be done!

Because Xibu Street is very close to the inn where I stayed, it takes three to five minutes on foot, so I went back and forth several times. Here, you can feel the most primitive Xiangxi local customs and Miao charm.

This street is the only complex tourist and commercial pedestrian street in the country that integrates water bar street, Chinese famous snack street, Xiangxi folk shopping boutique street, leisure inns, creative workshops, etc.

Probably every tourist who goes to Wulingyuan District in Zhangjiajie will go and check out a card.

The best time to visit Xibu Street in summer is early morning, evening and night.

There are not many tourists in the morning, so it is very quiet. There are tour groups during the day and it is too hot. In the evening, you can forage here, then walk around, and find a small bar to sit and listen to music. It is very comfortable.

On one side of Xibu Street is the Suoxi River.

The water is clear and there is a suspension bridge on the river, but I prefer those stone paved paths so I can play like a child. You can also simply take off your shoes, go barefoot, and feel the cool spring water.

Xibu Street in the morning is what I like. Entering Xibu Street, you will see three huge waterwheels, and you will feel like you are in Lijiang.

In the middle of the street, there are benches for tourists to rest. Looking up, clouds drifted past.

As the sun rises and there are more and more tourists, the place loses its tranquility. On Xibu Street, there is Hunan's first Chinese famous snack street, and there is also Xibu Street bar area. So, come back in the evening ~

Xibu Street at night is completely different from daytime. Street lights were set up and neon lights of various colors rendered the street very atmospheric.

An old song came from Jingba, and I couldn't help but sing along. "Waiting for you", I read softly.

That night, there was beer, friends, music, and a breeze, and everything was just right.

Xibu Street is not much different from Dayan Ancient City in Lijiang, Pingjiang Road in Suzhou, and Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu.

But because of that morning and that night, after the fermentation of time, they seemed particularly lovely in my memory.

If you have never been to "Wulingyuan", then you have never been to Zhangjiajie.

Wulingyuan is the "golden business card" of Zhangjiajie. The main scenic spots include Yuanjiajie, Jinbianxi, Huangshizhai, Tianzi Mountain, Yangjiajie, etc.

The Hundred Dragons Ladder is the most important way to Yuanjiajie, the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan. Before the Hundred Dragon Stairway, it would have taken 2-3 hours to walk mountain roads to get there.

Nowadays, it only takes 66 seconds to ride hundreds of Dragon Stairs to go from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain.

On the second day in Zhangjiajie, I went to Wulingyuan Scenic Area in the morning. Buying a ticket for 225 yuan allows you to enter and exit the five gates of the scenic area in four days, and the shuttle buses inside are free.

The Hundred Dragons Ladder is not only the best way to the core scenic spot of Zhangjiajie, but also the most representative man-made spectacle. It is currently recorded in the Guinness World Records with the honor of "the World's Highest Outdoor Sightseeing Elevator".

When you come to Zhangjiajie, you have to experience it.

Sitting on the hundreds of Dragon Stairs, I didn't have time to react before I quickly rose up and reached the top of the mountain in the blink of an eye.

Yuanjiajie, Jinbian Creek, the World's No. 1 Bridge, and Chizhuo Terrace, because of the Hundred Dragons Ladder, from behind the scenes to the front desk, allows you to appreciate the thrilling scenery there.

When the floating mountain inside Avatar was really right in front of me. Zhangjiajie, this extraordinary craftsmanship of nature, has created the spectacular landscape of quartz sandstone peaks and forests here.

Take a look at the Ecstasy Terrace and walk the first bridge in the world.

Deep in this canyon, thousands of stone peaks and stone pillars stand out. I have to sigh that nature really likes Zhangjiajie too much!

Wulingyuan Scenic Area is really too big. If you go for three consecutive days, you will feel that it is not enough. Here, it is the location where the American movie "Avatar" and the Chinese classic classics "Dream of the Red Chamber","Journey to the West","Zhong Kui Conquering the Devil","Monster Hunt" and other live-action filming locations.

You must come and see it for yourself.

When you come to Zhangjiajie, you must not miss a performance at night, which is the large-scale folk song and dance epic "Charming Xiangxi". It is said that the "Charming Xiangxi" theater has 2800 seats, and the performance is packed every night.

It is so popular, you must witness it with your own eyes.

It rained heavily at night at Zhangjiajie's charming Xiangxi International Cultural Square. It was hard to find a taxi, but there was a traffic jam at the theater. There were too many audiences going to the show.

One in three tourists who come to Zhangjiajie has seen this performance. Last year, in 2018, the annual reception volume reached 1.3 million, which is a huge number!

Find your seat and watch a performance quietly. The curtain of this "millennium mystery, a big drama" gradually began.

Xiangxi, to me, is a strange and mysterious place.

This is a vast and magical land. There are more than a dozen ethnic minorities including Han, Tujia, Miao, Dong, Yao, Bai, Gelao, etc. who jointly own this magical land. They have created many shocking witchcraft, art and skills.

A performance leads us through historical time and space to dialogue and blend with this land, these people, and these great creations.

Every friend who has read "Charming Xiangxi" will definitely have a deep understanding of "Xiangxi Catching the Corpse".

In ancient times, due to inconvenient transportation and rugged roads in southwestern Hunan, people died in other villages, and it was difficult to transport the coffin. They had no choice but to ask sorcerers and warlocks to use forbidden spells to drive away the corpses so that they could be buried back in their native land and buried in peace.

The blue-toned stage, the falling snowflakes, and those soldiers who are not willing to be wandering souls in their lonely graves make people heart-breaking.

The mystery of Xiangxi is a worldwide topic. "Wild Mogus","Flying Knife Heroes","Yao Nationality·Climbing Buildings","Ancient Border City Green"... In each performance, in each applause, I felt the unique charm of the splendid Chinese culture.

No wonder director Feng Xiaogang said: You can only see such a performance if you go to Zhangjiajie!

After watching the indoor performance, I thought the performance was over and was walking towards the exit with the crowd. Unexpectedly, there was another performance outside.

A big stone broke in my chest, and a mountain of knives fell under the sea of fire... It rained lightly at first, and tourists surrounded the bonfire with umbrellas. The performance attracted bursts of applause.

The rain stopped and the performance was drawing to an end. How can I forget such a wonderful night?

I know that in the past three days, I have only enjoyed a glimpse of the beauty and culture of Zhangjiajie. Zhangjiajie, there are too many places worth visiting, and I look forward to meeting you again in a certain year and month.
