When traveling in summer, it is inevitable to face scorching weather and abundant sunshine. After wandering among many options, we finally chose to visit Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie. First, I live in Chongqing. Wulingyuan is the choice of many friends. It is not far from home and is suitable for short trips. Second, my parents have always wanted to visit Zhangjiajie, so I can take advantage of the weekend to accompany my parents there.

about traffic

The distance from Chongqing to Zhangjiajie is not too long, and my parents are relatively old, so I chose to travel by car. Although it was a little hard, my parents could rest and conserve their strength on the road. I searched the Internet for the self-driving route from Chongqing to Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, and found that there were detailed instructions on the official website of Bailong Tianti:

Take the Baotou Expressway from the Nanhuan Interchange in Chongqing City, drive more than 430 kilometers, enter the Zhanghua Expressway, drive more than 100 kilometers, enter the Changzhang Expressway, drive more than 60 kilometers, get off the highway at Yanghe Exit, and you will go directly to the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. You can enter the scenic spot from Wulingyuan Wujiayu Ticket Station, which is also the sign ticket station.

We arrived at Wulingyuan smoothly following this route. The smooth and smooth start of the trip should make every traveler feel a little lucky and hopeful. PS: Be sure to get off from Yanghe Exit and not have to enter the urban area of Zhangjiajie.

about accommodations

I planned to take my parents from Chongqing after work on Friday and go straight to Wulingyuan. Thinking that it was the peak of summer travel, I booked a hotel on Ctrip in advance, so I could check in and rest directly there. My purpose was to choose a place closer to the Wulingyuan Tourist Scenic Area, so that it would be convenient the next day. In the end, I chose Zhangjiajie Yunqin Boutique Inn, which is near the Wujiayu Sign Gate in Wulingyuan Scenic Area. There are also parent-child rooms and four-person rooms in the hotel, which are suitable for a family of tourists.

There is free parking at the inn. If you are afraid that there are no parking spaces in the scenic area (you will find them when you arrive), you can park at the accommodation place ~

Day1 Hello, Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie

Wulingyuan-Wujiayu Ticket Station, the core scenic spot of Zhangjiajie (take an eco-friendly vehicle) → Bailong Ladder Up → (take an eco-friendly vehicle) Yuanjiajie, the core scenic spot → Back Garden → Eccentric Terrace → Haliluya Mountain → The First Bridge in the World → (Take an eco-friendly vehicle) Yangjiajie → Wulongzhai → Step to Heaven → Tianbo Mansion → (Take an eco-friendly vehicle) Bailong Tiantian Down → (Take an eco-friendly vehicle) Zhangjiajie core scenic spot Wulingyuan-Wujiayu Ticket Station

Because there were only weekends, we decided to leave early. Speaking of which, the inn was really close to the Wujiayu Ticket Station. We walked to the ticket office and bought tickets for Wulingyuan Scenic Area. The tickets were valid for four days. They are still very suitable for people traveling for short periods and can travel in depth. There are many environmentally friendly vehicles parked at the gate of the scenic area, which are specially designed to take tourists to various destinations. Fortunately, eco-friendly vehicles have stops up and down the Bailong Ladder.

My parents had heard about the Hundred Dragon Ladder for a long time. Because I was worried about my parents 'health, I learned in advance the precautions for riding the Hundred Dragon Ladder. I also consulted several friends who had sat there and learned that they could ride it and it was still a zero-fault elevator. I felt relieved to let my parents ride it. Considering the time and energy to go up and down the mountain, we bought a round-trip ticket, but we didn't expect that we could take the exclusive channel and save the queuing time.

Riding the hundreds of dragon ladders to see the scenery opposite is amazing~

Riding the Hundred Dragons Stairway to see the "Divine Soldiers Gathering" opposite, one by one, the independent peaks show tourists their uniqueness in a unique form, giving us endless imagination: Who is the general who deploys strategy? Which one is the soldier who returned triumphantly?

There is also the "hanging garden", which cannot be described in no matter how magnificent the language is. Only after seeing it can you understand it. Later, when I went to the Sky Garden to see the Hundred Dragons Ladder, the scenery of Zhangjiajie was even more unobstructed and magnificent ~

The elevator ride time was very short. It took 66 seconds to listen to the guide's introduction. After getting off the elevator, my parents and I felt unfinished. In just 66 seconds, while intuitively appreciating the scenery of Zhangjiajie, I also lamented the extraordinary craftsmanship of nature. The beautiful scenery was fleeting. It was really different every second, and the scenery was wonderful and fascinating.

After my mother went up the mountain, she said to me,"This mountain is quite high. I'm sweating when I climb it up." After that, she advised friends who went there to travel should not challenge themselves under the scorching sun. Sweating and heatstroke is always uncomfortable. Especially if you go with the elderly and children, it is a good choice, fun and labor-saving.

After going up, we saw many cute little monkeys entertaining themselves. They were not afraid of people and made tourists laugh. I couldn't help but take pictures of those interesting moments.

Take the ladder straight to Yuanjiajie. As the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan, we are still full of expectations for it. Yuan Jiajie connects the back garden, the psychedelic platform, and the world's first bridge into a line. You can see their charms by walking straight ahead. The back garden is just as its name suggests, with various stone peaks, streams flowing around the peaks, and towering ancient trees, just like the back garden in the ancient palace.

Ecstasy Terrace is one of the four wonders of Zhangjiajie (sunrise, peak forest, winter snow, and fog sea). It is a pity that I didn't have the opportunity to see the sunrise during this trip. I hope to have the opportunity to come to Zhangjiajie to make up for my regret.

I really want to shoot such a picture and come back next time. Then we saw floating mountains in the distance, and I introduced their stories to my parents,"This is the Hallelujah Mountains in the movie" Avatar ".

The first bridge in the world is a natural stone bridge, with a natural stone slab about 5 meters long sandwiched between two mountain peaks. The bridge is about 350 meters high. It is high and dangerous. I think it is more spectacular from a distance. The stones are very fragile and I still feel a little scared to walk on.

In the Yuan family, we can not only enjoy the scenery, but also ask for marriage and pray for blessings. It is said that it is very accurate. Along the way, people hang copper locks and flying red ribbons. My parents and I also left our beautiful wishes.

We stopped and stopped like this, and before we knew it, the morning passed. The camera's memory was almost full, so we quickly deleted the ones that weren't photographed well. We went back to the Yuanjiajie Visitor Center to rest and ate some snacks we brought. The weather was too hot and we sweated after walking two steps, and we couldn't eat anything. It was important to prepare enough water when we came out to travel and not take an unjust journey!! I increasingly feel that the Hundred Dragons Stairway is really a good medicine to relieve the summer heat.

When we set off again, we had no clue, so we took an eco-friendly car and got off at the nearest stop, and we arrived at Yangjiajie.

The first stop, Wulong Village, sounds like the place where bandits used to live.

The second stop, Tianbo Prefecture, is connected to Wulong Village by a steel chain bridge. After crossing the bridge, you need to climb a vertical ladder more than ten meters long.

The third stop is to reach the sky in one step. There are 32 steps to reach the summit of the mountain. I don't want to climb anymore. It's the hottest time in the afternoon. Why is there no elevator here? After appreciating the scenery of Yuanjiajie, we felt that there was nothing left to visit Yangjiajie, so we decided to take an environmentally friendly car and go down the Bailong Ladder to prepare to go down the mountain.

After going down the mountain, I found that there were still many people coming to ride the Hundred Dragons Stairway. I have to say that their choice was right, and they had to sweat profusely when climbing it.

When traveling to Zhangjiajie in summer, it is recommended to take the Hundred Dragons Ladder to make it easier to get up and down the mountain and avoid heatstroke.

In the evening, after having an early dinner, we went to watch the folk performance of "Charming Xiangxi" highly recommended by the locals. This program is directed by Feng Xiaogang. It is said that one in three tourists who come to Zhangjiajie will come to visit the Charming Xiangxi. My parents usually love watching this kind of program, so I bought tickets on the spot and took them into the theater early. The theater is particularly large and can accommodate 3000 spectators at the same time.

The opening of Charming Xiangxi was really shocking! A group of passionate and wild little brothers performed the fire drum. The special effects, atmosphere, and performances were all very powerful, and the audience was immediately attracted. Later programs include "Xiangxi Catching the Corpse","Daughter's Club","Border Town","Crying for Marriage", the Sangzhi folk song "Masang Shu 'er Build a Lantern Platform", a Tujia sacrificial dance "Maogus Dance","Ghost Valley Magic" in the outfield, etc., are all cultural customs of some local ethnic minorities. It was very enjoyable and touching!

My father said that he liked the Yao's "Climbing the Tower" best, and said that he had seen this program at the Spring Festival Gala in 2012. This program was created by Charming Xiangxi himself based on the courtship customs of the Yao people. It caused quite a stir at the Spring Festival Gala back then.

My mother likes the "Xiangxi Catching the Corpse" best. Although Xiangxi Catching the Corpse is a bit scary, it tells the story of soldiers who died in battle. After dedicating their lives to the motherland, their bodies return to their hometowns and return to their parents and children. When the soldier's son returned to his hometown and the old mother burst into tears and cried bitterly, the audience was all moved. My mother even secretly wiped her tears several times. I personally like watching this program the most, and I am particularly impressed.

There is also a need to praise the song "Ma Sang Shu 'er Build a Lantern". It is really, really beautiful!! You can definitely be selected in the top three best folk songs!!

Day2 Don't take away some oxygen or anything

Zhangjiajie core scenic spot Wulingyuan-Wujiayu ticket station → Jinbianxi → Dayang bar → Zhangjiajie core scenic spot Wulingyuan-Wujiayu ticket station

The first day of enrichment is over. Today, I am going to take my parents to relax and experience the mountains and rivers of Zhangjiajie.

The Jinbian River, called the "Girl of Zhangjiajie" by Mr. Shen Congwen, brings into full play the mountains and rivers of Zhangjiajie, and has the reputation of "a thousand years of continuous drought, and a thousand years of continuous rain and blue blue rain." The place where Jinbian River passes is known as "the most beautiful canyon in the world." Hiking the Jinbianxi Grand Canyon is definitely a journey to nourish the lungs and nourish the eyes.

The monkeys nearby can be said to add a bit of liveliness and agility to the picturesque Jinbianxi Grand Canyon.

Of course, there were many stone peaks in various shapes here.

Meeting thousands of miles away

Scholar's book collection

If this is not enough for you to let go of the fatigue of your journey, then the Oxygen Bar is definitely a unique choice to awaken your body and mind. The air here contains as much as 80,000 to 100,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter. The fresh air eliminates our summer heat and relaxes our body and mind. Mom and dad want to stay here longer and longer.

At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, we left this natural oxygen bar with intoxicating oxygen, ending our weekend trip to Wulingyuan.

Looking back on this journey after returning home, what impressed me most was the experience of riding the ladder and the charm of Xiangxi. One is a ladder full of speed and passion, and the other is a folk performance that brings warmth and emotion. They bring a different style to Zhangjiajie and a different experience to tourists. In addition to the beautiful scenery, this trip also received smiles from my parents. The adventurous heart and the adventurous spirit delayed by the tea, rice, oil and salt of life were also stimulated by the Hundred Dragons Stairs. While their health is still good, as children, we should really take them to appreciate these poems and the distance.
