Chongqing self-driving Zhangjiajie [Don't look at regret]

In recent years, our Greater Chongqing has become a popular tourist city, with tourists from all over the country coming here. However, for a Chongqing native, the place I miss most is Zhangjiajie in Hunan. So I took advantage of a few days of annual leave to go on a cool self-driving tour!

About self-driving

Because we don't know which corner of Chongqing everyone has rough hair, so when we come to Zhangjiajie, we will take the Chongqing City People's Government as the starting point for the time being, and the end point is the ticket gate of Wulingyuan Sign Gate in Zhangjiajie. (Attached with a map)

The introduction on the left is still very detailed. You can learn from it, just use it directly to navigate through Baidu.

Self-driving considerations

Baidu and altitude navigation destinations draw lessons from the following:

Zhangjiajie Core Scenic Spot Wulingyuan-Wujiayu Ticket Station

Zhangjiajie Core Scenic Spot Wulingyuan Ticket Station-Parking Lot

World Natural Heritage-Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie

Zhangjiajie World Geopark, China

In this way, you can go directly from Chongqing to Wulingyuan. The main tourist destination in Zhangjiajie is Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Geopark. So the first stop must be to Wulingyuan Scenic Area!

Please be sure to check your accompanying certificates and personal certificates before departure. Including ID card, driver's license, driving license, insurance document, etc. Car repair tools and emergency supplies should also be ready. Prepare a tool that integrates tire pressure gauge, inflation, emergency lighting, and signal lights. Spare tires, jacks, fire extinguishers, oil, and air filter elements are all essential. The driving recorder can not only record the scene in emergencies, but can also be used as a small camera during self-driving to record the scenery along the way. Prepare emergency food for the road, especially buy more chocolates, because chocolate is a high-calorie food. Water is a must-have, especially pure water. It is not only drunk by people, but also sometimes used by cars. For example, engine cooling water is lacking, and purified water can be used in an emergency. Long-distance downhill brakes are overheated, and purified water can be used to cool down.

travel tips

1. The temperature difference between the scenic area and the urban area is about 5 degrees. It is not an exaggeration to cover the scenic area with thin blankets in summer;

2. The less luggage, the better, and the lighter the better. It is best to bring an umbrella or rainproof underwear (you can also buy a raincoat locally, for 5- 10 yuan per piece). Because the weather in the mountains is unpredictable. Be sure to bring good anti-mosquito water in summer. Prepare some simple medicines such as wet tissues, band-aids, anti-inflammatory tablets, and anti-leakage tablets (to prevent acclimatization) for disinfection; wear non-slip sneakers for shoes, the mobile phone battery must be fully charged, and the charging treasure must also be charged and prepared to avoid being unable to reach you.

3. If you are students, the elderly (over 60 years old), disabled, military officers, and provincial press cards, don't forget to bring them before going out, and you can enjoy the corresponding preferential tickets.

4. Prepare some dry food (climbing is more physically strenuous) to satisfy hunger, bottled drinks (reducing travel expenses), and put money away. It is best to bring a national general bank magnetic card and ID card; it is best to travel together. In this way, many expenses can be shared equally and each other can take care of.

5. Zhangjiajie is famous for its mountains, so most of the time is climbing mountains, so everyone must choose flat shoes, preferably ones that have been worn through, so that they will not grind their feet. Neither inns nor hotels provide disposable toiletries, so it is best to bring them with you or buy them locally.

Day 1

On the first day, we decided to visit the foot of the mountain first. The main scenic spots at the foot of the mountain include Shuishuan Simen, Jinbian Creek, and Dayang Bar Square. After checking in at the sign gate and registering fingerprints into the scenic spot, we can take a free eco-friendly car to start the wonderful journey of Wulingyuan. After driving for 40 minutes, the eco-friendly car arrived at the first stop, Shuishuihuan Simen, put on your bags, and got off to play.

The water around the four gates is the starting point of the Jinbian River. It is also very beautiful here, with green green everywhere, making people relaxed and happy.

Jinbian River is known as the Negative Oxygen Ion Canyon. The air is very fresh, and it is named after a stream passed through it. Monkeys are very fierce. Don't hold pockets in your hands. These monkeys have become spirits. If they know it's food, they will come to rob it. If they are afraid, be careful, stay away from monkeys, and cherish life.

Officially enter the Jinbianxi Tour Line. Jinbianxi is a beautiful grand canyon with a total length of 7.5 kilometers. If it is slow, it will take two to three hours to complete the journey. The scenery is picturesque and peaks rise from the ground. Along the way, there are Mother and Child Peak, Pig Bajie carrying his daughter-in-law, Master and disciple learning scriptures, the Shenying Whip Protection, Wenxing Rock, Zizui Pond, Thousands of Miles Meet, Tiaoyu Pond, Camel Peak, and Shuiping Four Gates...

The water color is quite beautiful.

The little monkey is cute.

Meeting thousands of miles away

After walking for about 3 hours, we arrived at the Big Oxygen Bar Square.

The first day of the scenic area tour ends at the Big Oxygen Bar Square, and I am ready to leave the scenic area and enjoy a sumptuous dinner.

In the Big Oxygen Bar Square, you can directly take an eco-friendly vehicle to return to the sign door and leave the scenic area.

Today, the place where we eat is on Xibu Street. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from the sign gate to Xibu Street; it takes 3-5 minutes to take a taxi, and the cost is 10 yuan; Penyou, who drives his car to the parking lot, can drive directly there, drive directly along Jandi Road for about 1.5 kilometers, then turn right into Tianzi Road and drive about 200 meters to reach Xibu Street.

We didn't drive, so we took a taxi directly at the sign gate to the "Xiangnian Restaurant" on Xibu Street for dinner. After walking for a day, I still have to eat a good meal to reward myself.

After dinner, I took a stroll around Xibu Street and looked at the bustling tourists in the square. I felt that life in such a small town was really relaxing and comfortable.

The next step is to watch the evening folk drama in Xiangxi-Charming Xiangxi! Initially, I heard that it was directed by Feng Xiaogang and Liu Huan was the music director, so I felt very curious and wanted to see it. Later, I heard some local restaurant owners recommend that the best pastime at night was to see the Charming Xiangxi, which made me even more determined to go. I ordered the tickets directly online, with more than 200 tickets each, and the location is very good.

The Charming Xiangxi Grand Theater is very large because their programs are divided into infield and outfield. We first watched the stage song and dance performances in the theater. The programs performed are all about the customs and cultures of the five major ethnic groups in western Hunan, including the Tujia Maogusi dance and crying for marriage; the Bai people's Sangzhi folk songs; the Yao people's pursuit of love (it is said that they were on the Spring Festival Gala in 2012), etc. There are also the shocking stories of chasing corpses in Xiangxi, etc., which are very rich in content. The stage special effects are also well done, and in the interactive session, the interactive games with the audience are also very interesting.

In the outfield, there are mainly some qigong and divine arts performances. Spitting fire, Miao people climbing mountains of knives, descending sea of flames, stone slabs pressing on their chests, etc., people were shocked and applause was endless.

Overall, the charm of Xiangxi really lives up to expectations. It is wonderful and also very down-to-earth. It can be seen at a glance that it is a special performance dedicated to Xiangxi. In fact, this is the meaning of travel. Go to the distance and see other people's scenery and other people's lives. Only by seeing more and seeing more can you live up to your life.

Day 2

I got up early the next day, had breakfast, and set off from the hotel for the scenic spot. The main itinerary today is on the mountain, where there will be some difficult roads, steps, etc., so you must replenish your energy in advance before going up the mountain.

We walked in about 10 minutes to the sign gate, recorded our fingerprints and entered the scenic spot, and took an eco-friendly car to reach Bailongtianti Lower Station in about 40 minutes. Then prepare to take the Hundred Dragons Stairway up the mountain.

Here it says the Hundred Dragons Ladder

The Bailong Ladder is magnificent, with a vertical height difference of 335 meters and a running height of 326 meters. It consists of a 154-meter shaft in the mountain and a 172-meter steel structure derrick attached to the mountain. It uses three double-layer fully exposed sightseeing and running in parallel. Currently listed in the Guinness World Records with the honor of "Highest Outdoor Elevator", it is a perfect combination of natural beauty and man-made wonders.

We bought a round-trip ticket at Ctrip in advance for 130 yuan/person and could redeem the ticket directly at the window. After receiving the tickets, we checked in and first took a small elevator to the central platform. There is a viewing platform on the central platform where you can view the generals 'parade attractions.

After that, we passed through a tunnel and came to the place where we took the Hundred Dragons Ladder. It needs to be explained here. The Hundred Dragons Ladder does not display the floor, but the number of meters. When we see the number of elevators rising, we will have an incomparable happiness until we are over 300 years old. How high is it to come back? Running into the sky, the elevator came down quickly, it was our turn to take the elevator. There would be staff members in the elevator to explain (it was a beautiful woman). The elevator would first pass through a tunnel and wait for the light in the dark elevator. The darkness before dawn, the dawn must break before dawn, everything is worth waiting for and trying. The moment I rushed out of the tunnel, the beautiful scenery and light were presented in front of me, and I was stunned.

I thought of a saying, even if you are taking the wrong road, don't regret it. This wrong road will also have a different scenery, so don't complain that the beauty is not as good as that. If there is a scenery in your heart, everywhere will be beautiful. Don't be very subjective at the beginning, it is not good here, which will affect your mood. Let's start happily, plant the seeds of happiness in your heart, and let her slowly break through the soil.

It's light, it's the beautiful scenery. It's a different feeling. The feeling of being above the mountain is always better than that of the mountain. There is no SLR or wide angle, but I have eyes. The vision at that moment is wide and the crowd in the elevator exclaimed., I saw a different Zhangjiajie.

After arriving at Tiantian Station, we walked through a forest path, walked through Bailong Bridge, arrived at the parking lot of Bailong Tiantian Station, and took an environmentally friendly car to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Yuanjiajie.

Avatar shooting attraction-Hallelujah Mountains.

This is a particularly worthwhile attraction and will make you marvel. On the way, you can also see the "Southern Sky Pillar", which was renamed Hallelujah Mountain because of the movie "Avatar". It is understood that a large number of prototypes in "Planet Pandora" in the movie "Avatar" come from the mountains of Zhangjiajie, among which the picture of "Nantian Pillar" has become the prototype of "Hallelujah Mountain", or suspended mountains.

Ecstasy Platform, Ecstasy Platform, a place that is so beautiful that it seizes your soul away. It's actually really beautiful.

Here, I want to talk about it. The China-South Korea Friendship Pavilion is basically filled with Smecta's business cards. I also found out when I came to Zhangjiajie. Many South Koreans came to play, all of them were Aunt Smecta. A tour guide said that many Japanese tourists came here in the past, but they didn't dare to come because of the Diaoyu Islands incident. I actually hate that political matters involve the people of Dawn. We are not at fault

tianshengqiao

I prefer the first bridge in the world. The name Tiansheng Bridge is not bad from this perspective.

Xianren Bridge.

Xianren Bridge, the seat of the emperor, is difficult to walk at one step, and there are rare tree species along the way. Since this is a trip that is not taken by large tour groups, it is preserved relatively simple. What is worth mentioning here is Xianren Bridge, which looks more dangerous than the first bridge in the world. It's another difficult step! In fact, the reinforcement here is already very safe. Back then, there was no safety steel bar protection here, so we could only use the running approach to fly over the gap between the two peaks! There was an old teacher who fell off the bed. Thinking about it was very scary for me. Originally, I didn't have fear of heights, so I was extremely afraid. Everyone passed, leaving me alone. I had no choice but to grit my head... I didn't dare to look at my feet. There was a clearly visible abyss below!

This is Daguantai, it's a bit dangerous

After walking Yuanjiajie, we took an eco-friendly car and arrived at Yangjiajie Scenic Area in about 20 minutes.

Natural Great Wall

The scenic spots in Wulong Village must be returned the same way, mainly climbing mountains. Students who are too tired should be cautious. This is the place where the record of suppressing bandits in Wulong Mountain was filmed. Everyone just takes a look. Personally, I think it's a bit ridiculous. I've been living this thing alive and dead. I can listen to the people inside.

Don't let him read the so-called help you look at it. Although I think it's a bit accurate, you must donate incense money. I donated 20 yuan. He also said that I wanted me to donate 100 yuan. For a moment, I don't think I want to give 20 yuan anymore. Be careful.

Skywave Prefecture

After walking through Yangjiajie, we took an eco-friendly car back to the next station of the Bailong Ladder, took the Bailong Ladder down the mountain, and took an eco-friendly car out of the scenic spot again.

Today's trip is also over. After a day of walking the forest path at the foot of the mountain and a day of climbing the mountain road, I was really tired. After leaving the scenic area, I quickly had a meal, returned to the hotel to rest early, and ended the last day of the trip.

We checked out the next morning and drove back to Chongqing the same way we came.

Finally, I would like to attach some photos of Zhangjiajie cuisine to you ~~

San Xia Guo

Fish head with chopped pepper (really spicy)

Loach Diamond Tofu

Small feelings of play

Zhangjiajie has blue skies, green mountains and clear waters, especially when it is sunny after rain. People stand from high places and watch. The clouds of clouds fill the valley, and the peak forests stand among the clouds. The landscape is really exciting.

A friend said that reading so many travel notes does not mean that I have traveled through them. Yes, the scenery is dead, but the feeling is different and the mood of mind is different. There is a saying in Wen Ruyan for Ten Years: The reason why destiny is strong is that it can stand at the end and watch you amaze the encounters you set for it along the way, and those encounters often make you praise them in your heart.
