The long-awaited vacation trip has finally begun, and the chosen location this time is Zhangjiajie.
Accommodation: two nights in Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Inn and one night in Zhangjiajie urban area
Admission: Zhangjiajie Forest Park 228 yuan/person, Huanglong Cave 95 yuan/person, Tianmen Mountain 235 yuan/person, all can be booked directly on Ctrip.
Day 1 Huanglong Cave - Zhangjiajie Forest Park Ten Mile Gallery
Departing from Changsha Yue at 7:00 in the morning, passing through Yiyang and Changde, the entire journey is 309 kilometers on the expressway. Encountering heavy rain on the road, there was a thrilling display of speed and passion.
We arrived directly at the first stop attraction: Huanglong Cave at 11:30 am. We had lunch across from the entrance of the attraction (Changsha Restaurant), the taste was good, but the price was slightly higher.
We have booked tickets for Huanglongdong on Ctrip in advance, and there is no need to collect tickets. You can simply swipe your ID card to enter.
A group of people enter Huanglong Cave every 15 minutes, with an estimated 80 people. There is a free tour guide inside (if you don't follow the guide, you may get lost inside). We were lucky and didn't have many people when we went, so we waited for 10 minutes to enter the cave. The scenery of Huanglong Cave is still very beautiful and worth a visit. Children also love it very much. When we arrived at the exit, there was a maze that charged a separate fee of 15 yuan for voluntary consumption. We didn't go in, and a few people entered. The inside is also made of stones, which are smaller and more beautiful.
15: 30 We went out of Huanglong Cave and drove to the hotel we had booked in advance, near the Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot sign gate of Zhangjiajie Forest Park. When we arrived at the hotel, the landlady told us that it was still early and we could go into the forest to play a scenic spot. The weather was also good (I ordered the tickets for the forest park in the hotel, and delivered them to us. We didn't have to contact with them to get the tickets. It was convenient and the price was the same as Ctrip.)
16: At 30, we entered Zhangjiajie Forest Park from the Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot sign gate, probably because it was relatively late. Many people went down the mountain, but there was no one to queue up. The way was smooth, swiping cards and recording fingerprints was fast. After entering the scenic spot, we directly took environmental protection vehicles to the Shili Gallery (many times environmental protection vehicles went to various points). When we arrived at the Shili Gallery, we took a small train (38 yuan for a one-way trip) to the Monkey Garden in the Shili Gallery, to see the elderly picking herbs, three sisters, etc. The Monkey Garden was relatively small and dirty, and several little monkeys were locked in cages. To be honest, the Shili Gallery was not as beautiful as we thought.
Day 2 Zhangjiajie Forest Park
Today's route: Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Sign Gate - Bailong Tianti - Yuan Jiajie - Tianzi Mountain - Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Sign Gate
After finishing breakfast at the inn in the morning, I entered Zhangjiajie Forest Park again around 8:30, still through the sign gate. There were significantly more people in the morning, and I waited in line for about ten minutes to take the eco-friendly bus. This time, I went straight to the Bailong Sky Ladder and bought a ticket to take it up the mountain (ticket price is 65 yuan per trip). When buying the ticket, you were supposed to buy insurance for 10 yuan. If you don't want insurance, tell the ticket seller (Bailong Sky Ladder only takes 1 minute and 25 seconds, I don't need insurance). There weren't many people who went there, so I didn't queue up and went straight in. It is said that when there were many people, they queued for two hours and only took more than one minute to reach the mountain.
After exiting the Hundred Dragon Sky Ladder, go to the parking lot and take an environmentally friendly car to Yuanjiajie. Yuanjiajie has scenic spots such as the Enchanting Platform and the First Bridge in the World. If you are traveling independently, it is best to follow a group and the tour guide will explain. Follow the tour guide and there is no need to turn back.
After visiting Yuanjiajie, I took an eco-friendly car to Tianzishan. On the way, I also encountered a monkey, which made the children very happy to see. Tianzi Mountain is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie Forest Park. Scenic spots include Yubi Peak, Helong Square, etc. After touring Tianzi Mountain, we directly chose to take the cable car down the mountain, and then turned to the environmental protection car to return to the landmark gate of Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot.
In the evening, I went to visit Xibu Old Street, which is full of ancient buildings and has food and entertainment. It is about 3 kilometers away from the Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot landmark gate and can be reached by half an hour's walk.
Day 3 Tianmen Mountain Forest Park
7: At around 00, we set out from Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot to Tianmen Mountain Forest Park, and drove for about 50 minutes. Yesterday, we booked a ticket on Ctrip, so we directly opened an online ticket collection entrance (just beside the cableway, in the city center). There is a parking lot (10 yuan for daytime stops, 20 yuan for overnight stays). We chose Line B to go up the mountain (on the environmental protection car - under the cable car), and most of us chose Line A (on the cable car - under the environmental protection car).
After picking up the tickets, queue up and take the free shuttle bus to the entrance of Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area (those who choose route A can take the cable car directly at the ticket pick-up location). There were too many people, and it took more than half an hour to take the shuttle bus. It took about 15 minutes to get to the entrance of the scenic area. After entering the park, queue up again (for nearly an hour) and take the eco-friendly bus up the mountain, taking 99 turns to get on the bus. It was really exciting.
After 30 minutes, we arrived at the top of the mountain, below Tianmen Cave. Continuing to the top of the mountain, we could take the escalator (32 yuan) or climb the stairs by ourselves (999 steps). We chose to take the escalator, but my husband and children didn't want to climb. Fortunately, they didn't climb, so we probably couldn't climb either. We took the escalator for more than 10 minutes before reaching Tianmen Cave. Passing by Tianmen Cave, we continued to take the escalator to the top of the mountain. We took at least 10 sections of the escalator from front to back and felt nauseous.
After arriving at the top of the mountain, we can choose the western route or the eastern route. Those who dare not have the time can swim from the western route to the eastern route and then take the cable car down the mountain. We chose the western route for a short tour, passing Gongtong Garden, Li Na Villa, Sling Shenyu, the western glass walkway, etc., and then returned to Li Na Villa to take the cable car.
During peak season, there are many people, so when taking the cable car, we need to pick up the number in advance. We pick up the number at 12 o'clock and pick up the D section at 13:45. After picking up the number, we go to other scenic spots. This is how tour groups operate, otherwise we have to wait in line for a long time (the cable car is divided into different time periods, and the time period you pick up when you go there. If you don't come over that time period, you have to pick up the number again and can't take it in advance). Like the time slot we took at 13:45, I went to queue up at 13:15 and only got on the cable car around 15:00. It takes me 3 hours to queue up during the peak hours.
The glass walkway needs to buy shoe covers (5 yuan), which is compulsory consumption. The western route we take is only 60 meters long, and the Panlong colored glass plank road is only 100 meters long. When we were walking on the Liuli Bridge, the fog just dispersed, fortunately there was nothing to be afraid of.
On Day 4, we rested at Zhangjiajie Hotel for the whole morning and drove back to Changsha around 11:00. Originally, we planned to visit Tujia culture in the morning, but we didn't move because we were too lazy near Zhangjiajie city.
