There is a saying in "Roman Holiday" that goes, "You can either travel or read, but either your body or soul must be on the way The general idea is that "there must always be one on the road between the body and the soul." Travel, let your body be on the road; And a person's journey allows the soul to move forward together.
In daily life, there are too many trivial matters related to life, family, and work surrounding you. Occasionally, there is a time when I want to be alone, undisturbed by anything or anyone, to calm down and experience, to comprehend, and to grow. A person's journey not only allows them to experience the world, but also to gain insights into life and grow their body and mind. In just a few days, the growth gained may be even greater than that of this year.
Hunan Province, a place of outstanding people and talented individuals, has produced many famous and great figures for generations. The tourism and cultural industry is also quite developed. When it comes to Hunan, the first things that come to mind are the delicious food and snacks in Changsha, the night view of Fenghuang Ancient City, and Zhangjiajie Forest Park, which are exactly the itinerary of this seven day and six night trip.
Changsha Huanghua International Airport has almost all direct flights from domestic cities.
After arriving at the airport, follow the signs and there is a direct passage inside the direct airport connecting to the maglev. The ticket price is 20 yuan and only cash is accepted. It takes half an hour to reach the "Maglev High speed Railway Station" located in the city, which is also known as "Changsha South Station". Then transfer to the subway, and it is very convenient to go anywhere. The accommodation is located around Wuyi Square, making the itinerary more convenient. I packed my luggage and went to Orange Island this afternoon.
Orange Island "is the largest alluvial sandbar in the lower reaches of the Xiang River and also the world's largest inland continent, known as" China's first continent ". Free admission and registration, take the subway and get off at "Orange Island Station" directly. Exit at Exit 2 and you will already be on the sandbar. Go a little further down the stairs and you can buy a ticket for the sightseeing train. The ticket price is 20 yuan and you can go directly to the "Grandpa Mao Youth Statue" or get off halfway.
It is the most important attraction in Orange Island, without exception.
Taiping Old Street, Pozi Street, and Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street are adjacent to each other and can be reached within a few minutes' walk. They are the busiest commercial streets and gathering places for food and snacks in Changsha.
Stinky tofu wrapped in a black coat, a bite, juice overflowing, flowing out, a dozen, the price is OK.
Old Changsha Big Sausage is also one of the specialty snacks in Changsha. It's really a big sausage, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Although it's unhealthy, it's delicious.
It is also quite famous in Changsha and the taste is decent.
The fried goods and skewers in Changsha are all called "fried, fried, fried". This shop is also recommended online, and there are still many people in the side streets and alleys of Taiping Old Street.
A pancake costs ten yuan, with not many fillings and a decent taste. There are also other fillings available. There are also vacuum packaged items that can be taken out as souvenirs.
The signs are "Youlan Latte" and "Shengsheng Wulong", with prices ranging from ten to twenty yuan. There are only two types of tea shops in Changsha, one is Tea Yan Yue Se, and the other is others.
Yuelu Mountain, a peak frequently visited by people from Changsha, is also a great place to admire maple leaves in autumn. With an altitude of only over 300 meters, it is not very high and there is no pressure to walk up the mountain. Free admission and registration. Located near Yuelu Academy, Aiwan Pavilion, Hunan University, Dongfanghong Square, etc., with a scholarly background and excellent cultural atmosphere.
Yuelu Mountain has two main entrances, the East Gate and the South Gate, both of which allow visitors to take sightseeing buses or hike up and down the mountain. The cableway is only available at Dongmen. It is worth noting that there are many people going up the cableway from Dongmen, but there are much fewer people going down the cableway. You can choose to go up the south gate and down the east gate to avoid crowds.
Take the subway to "Hunan University Station" and come out. It's the foot of Yuelu Mountain. First, go to "Hunan University Fifth Cafeteria" for lunch. The first floor is open to the public. First, go to the entrance convenience store to buy tickets. Two meat dishes and one vegetable dish are priced at 15 yuan.
Coming out of the cafeteria, it's less than a few hundred meters' walk to 'Dongfanghong Square'.
On the left side of the square, there is a gate with a plaque of Hunan University, which can also be photographed for check-in.
The entrance to the south gate is not far away. Follow the navigation to the right and you will arrive at the "Love Evening Pavilion", which is also free of admission and registration. There are not many people at noon, but there will be more people in the afternoon.
Yuelu Academy is located not far from Aiwan Pavilion. It is one of the four famous academies in Chinese history and one of the oldest in the world, well preserved.
The main attractions at the foot of Nanmen Mountain are these. After walking for half an hour, you will reach the top of the mountain. After passing through a management area, you will arrive at the sightseeing corridor, where you can overlook Changsha City. There are also tea shops on the top of the mountain. It is also good to have afternoon tea and take a break, but you need to wait for half an hour to get there.
At the mountaintop, you can also see the 'Changsha Radio and Television Tower'. It is also one of the landmark buildings of Yuelu Mountain.
At the top of the mountain, a little further down the mountain, there is a small pavilion selling tickets for the cableway and slide. The cableway only has access to the east gate, so it can only reach the east gate. The slide is located halfway up the mountain, sliding from the mountainside to the foot of the mountain, only down. I bought a one-way cableway ticket for 25 yuan, and there were very few people going down the cableway. I got on board in a few minutes.
This cableway is fully open and suspended, so be careful to keep your carry on luggage safe. If it falls, it will be difficult to retrieve it. The entire cableway travels slowly, taking about 20 minutes one way. If the weather is good, it is very comfortable to sit on and enjoy the scenery and urban landscape of Changsha along the way.
After coming out of Yuelu Mountain, take a taxi for over ten yuan or take a bus to "Dachunqiao Station". Yunanxiang Street, this is the place where people in Changsha eat late night snacks. Remember not to come during the day, the earliest you can open a shop is around 4 or 5 pm in the afternoon.
At a small stall at a corner, there were many people queuing up, each costing 3 yuan, but they were very small in size.
A hot braised restaurant that has been open for six years, offering mixed noodles, braised dishes, cold noodles, meat patties, etc. The average person is around 30-40, and there are many customers, including locals.
The itinerary for Changsha usually takes about two to three days, and then we will take a bus to the "Phoenix Ancient City". There are various ways to travel from Changsha to Fenghuang, but taking a bus is the most convenient as it saves you from transferring. The ticket price is around 150 yuan and it takes 6 hours. The earliest bus departs after 7 o'clock, and you can arrive at Fenghuang Ancient City at 1 or 2 noon.
Fenghuang Ancient City is a 4A level scenic spot in China, with a history of over 400 years. It is relatively well preserved and has a high degree of commercialization. Centered around the "Hongqiao Wind and Rain Tower", separated by the Tuo River on both sides.
Within the ancient city, only walking is allowed. The entire core area slowly descends, taking only two to three hours, and then waits for the arrival of night. Those interested can buy the Nine Scenic Spots ticket to see the former residences of celebrities.
After nightfall, the once quiet and peaceful ancient city seems to have been injected with a stimulant, completely opposite to the daytime, with various lights climbing up the city walls and shining together.
At night, the night scene is dazzling and dazzling, with singers from both sides emerging one after another, creating a breathtaking sight.
I had a meal of firewood cuisine at Fenghuang Ancient City in the evening, which was really delicious. We had it at a local old brand firewood restaurant, which was very popular. The firewood cuisine we made was very popular, and the earthly fireworks cuisine was really amazing. I love it so much. The environment is very good, with various murals and decorations inside. I love it!
After staying in Fenghuang Ancient City for a day and a night, and experiencing the night view of the ancient city, we set off for Zhangjiajie in the afternoon. Taking a bus from the only bus station in Fenghuang Ancient City takes 4 hours and costs 80 yuan to get to Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station; Or it takes 5 hours, and the ticket price is 100 yuan. You can go directly to the "Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Bus Station", which is the same bus. The difference is that the former is located in the urban area of Zhangjiajie, close to the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area; The latter is located in Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot District of Zhangjiajie, near the "Zhangjiajie Forest Park".
Arrived at Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Bus Station in the evening, there are many homestays and hotels nearby, and it is also convenient to eat. Most people who visit the Forest Park live here. This time we chose to listen to the Ya Anju characteristic inn. The inn is in a good location, at the entrance of Xibu Street, very close to the scenic area, and the environment is also very good. The owner is also very nice and is very helpful to us. He helped us book tickets and explained how to play. It felt very heartwarming!
Zhangjiajie Forest Park, a 5A level scenic spot, is the first national level forest park in China. Due to its unique quartz sandstone peak forest, it has been listed on the World Heritage List by the United Nations. It is also one of the filming locations for the former global box office champion Avatar. The ticket is 228 yuan, and the innkeeper booked it for us at 208 yuan, which includes the cost of all environmentally friendly vehicles in the scenic area, but does not include the cost of cable cars and ladders. The ticket is a 4-day pass, which allows multiple entries and exits within 4 consecutive natural days. In other words, it takes at least 3 to 4 days to fully enjoy the entire forest park. Zhangjiajie Forest Park can be mainly divided into several areas: Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Huangshizhai, Tianzishan, Shili Gallery, and Jinbianxi, each with its own characteristics.
Xibu Old Street, a commercial street in Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot, Zhangjiajie, mainly sells some small commodities.
On my first night in Zhangjiajie, I didn't know what to eat. I saw a restaurant recommended by many people online, so I decided to give it a try. However, the result was even higher than I expected. The food was really good, the taste was good, the service was also friendly, and the store environment was not bad. Although the decoration was simple, the restaurant was clean and very comfortable. It's a great food restaurant, and I recommend their stone pot fish, bandit chicken, and three pot pot!
There are five gates in Zhangjiajie Forest Park. Because they live in Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot, they enter from the nearest "Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Sign Gate". The first day's schedule is to enter the mountain from the landmark gate of Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot, pass the Bailong Sky Ladder - Yuanjiajie - Yangjiajie - Huangshi Village, and finally go out from the main gate of the forest park. If you enter the door, there is a special Internet channel for online ticket purchase. You can go in by brushing your face and ID card. After entering, there is no other way, just take an eco-friendly car. From here, you can take a ride to Shili Gallery, Shuiluo Simen, Tianzishan Cableway Station or Bailong Tianti Station. Please greet the dispatcher before boarding to avoid taking the wrong train. Today, I will take a ride directly to the final destination, Bailong Ladder.
The one-way ticket price is 75 yuan, and it takes 1 minute and 28 seconds. I don't know if it's the fastest, but it's the most expensive elevator I've ever taken. Half of it is in the mountain without any scenery. When I come out of the mountain, I suddenly feel a sense of sudden enlightenment.
After coming out of the ladder, take a short walk and take an eco-friendly car to the "Lost Soul Platform", and then enter the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. The entire Yuanjiajie area covers an area of about 1200 hectares, with an average altitude of 1070 meters. It consists of several major attractions such as the Enchanted Soul Platform, the First Bridge in the World, the Back Garden, the Twin Turtle Climbing to the Sky, the Sky Hanging White Training, the Cliff Immortal Official, and the Wulong Spring. In addition, there are many observation decks that can overlook the quartz sandstone peaks.
The Enchanting Platform is a viewing platform surrounded by iron railings on the edge of a cliff, with beautiful scenery that is mesmerizing, hence its name.
The first bridge in the world is a natural stone bridge formed between two mountain peaks, with a length of over 20 meters and an absolute height of 350 meters. One cannot help but marvel at the incredible craftsmanship of nature, which is truly a masterpiece.
After coming out of Yuanjiajie, you can take an eco-friendly bus to Yangjiajie Cableway Station, with a ticket price of 76 yuan. You can also walk down the Yangjiajie mountain, where you can pass by attractions such as One Step Sky and Tianbo Mansion.
The steep staircase leads directly to the summit. The staircase is not long, but it is very steep and requires caution. The scenery after coming up is indeed magnificent, like climbing to the sky in one step, like being in a sea of clouds and a heavenly court.
After coming down from Yangjiajie, you can take a ride to Huangshi Village. Along the way, you will pass by Longfeng Temple, where there are many night monkeys and they are quite aggressive. You need to be careful. Passing through Longfeng Temple, you can take a ride to the lower station of Huangshi Village cableway.
Huangshizhai is one of the earliest and most classic scenic spots in Zhangjiajie, with attractions such as Liuqi Ge, Tiaoxing Tai, Wuhai Golden Turtle, Tianshu Treasure Box, Tianqiao Yidun, Houshuai Dianbing, Nantianmen, and Heizonglong. The Huangshizhai cableway costs 75 yuan per person and takes over ten minutes to reach the mountaintop.
It is said that at the beginning of dawn, when the sun and moon shine together, the sky is filled with stars on this star picking platform, as if they are within reach and within reach.
The five stone peaks arranged tightly together look like human fingers from a distance. It is said to be the place where Sun Wukong was imprisoned in ancient times, which is truly amazing.
The Six Wonders of Mountains, Waters, Clouds, Stones, Trees, and Rare Birds and Beasts are named after them,
It takes two and a half hours to walk slowly down the mountain from Huangshizhai, and one and a half hours to walk quickly. There are not many scenic spots along the way, so it is recommended to take a cableway down the mountain.
Then take an eco-friendly bus to reach the DaOxygen Bar Square, which is a square in front of the main entrance of Zhangjiajie. It only takes ten minutes to walk out from here and reach the main entrance.
At the main entrance of the forest park, you can take a bus to the city train station for 12 yuan; Or to Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Bus Station, 10 yuan. But no ticket was given, so I felt that it was not a regular bus. There was a regular bus station about 800 meters ahead. But I left work very early. I went to Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot at five or six o'clock and there was no bus, so I had no choice but to take a bus back to Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot. Fortunately, it was not expensive. I could get to Wulingyuan Bus Station in more than half an hour.
The next day, we still entered from the Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot landmark gate at 8 o'clock in the morning. Today's route is relatively easy, mostly taking a gentle mountain road. I arranged it like this: Sign Gate - Tianzishan Cableway Station - Helong Park - Shili Gallery - Jinbian Creek - Daxue Bar Square - Exit at the main entrance.
It only takes 11 minutes to get to the Tianzishan Cableway Station by taking an eco-friendly car from the signgate, and then buy a cableway ticket for 72 yuan. It takes 18 minutes to reach the top of the mountain, and then take an eco-friendly car for 2 minutes to reach Helong Park.
He Long Park was built to commemorate Marshal He Long's battle at Tianzi Mountain, who was one of the founding fathers of the People's Republic of China and one of the founders of the People's Liberation Army.
Here you can see the magnificent bronze statue of Marshal He Long.
After leaving Helong Park, we started walking down the mountain, which took about an hour and a half to reach the monkey park at the foot of the mountain. There are many monkeys here, so we need to pay attention to safety. Monkeys may also steal your food, so it's best not to be seen by monkeys. If you don't give them, they may even bite you.
There are many small shops next to the Monkey Garden where you can restock. Just a few steps away, there is a ticket office for the Ten Mile Gallery train. A ticket costs 35 yuan and you can take the train to enjoy the scenery of the Ten Mile Gallery along the way, or walk down on foot.
Shili Gallery is one of the most famous attractions in Zhangjiajie Forest Park and a must visit destination. The continuous mountain peaks come in various shapes, some resembling peacocks opening their screens, some resembling "herb gatherers", and some resembling "birthday stars welcoming guests".
After leaving the Ten Mile Gallery, you can take an eco-friendly car to the Water Loop Four Gates (Golden Whip Creek), which is the longest stream in the forest park. With a total length of 5700 meters, winding through the quiet mountains and forests, there are also many scenic spots along the way, and there is also a branch road that leads to the Yuan family boundary. Hiking along Jinbian Creek, the road is gentle and suitable for the elderly and children to walk. The whole journey can be completed in an hour and a half, and then we will arrive at the Oxygen Bar Square, which is not far from the main entrance.
At the main entrance exit, a 12 yuan bus will take you to the central bus station next to the train station, which takes one hour. You can wave your hand and stop, and then inform the driver to get on and off at will. However, spending a day outdoors can be very tiring. It is best to stay near the train station for one night and depart the next day.
You can take a flight at Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport or take a train to Changsha. There is a direct train from Zhangjiajie to Changsha. The earliest train departs at 8:15 and arrives at Changsha Station at 12:40. Take Metro Line 2 to Changsha South Station, where you can take a high-speed train or transfer to maglev to Changsha Huanghua International Airport.
