Tianmen Mountain is a popular scenic spot in Zhangjiajie. It is named after the world's highest altitude mountain cave-"Tianmen Cave". There are Internet celebrities here to take photos and check in-glass plank road, Ghost Valley plank road, etc., especially the sea of clouds here. It is often on hot searches and is known as the "most beautiful hanging garden in the world" and "celestial fairyland". It is one of the must-visit scenic spots when visiting Zhangjiajie.

Tianmen Mountain Travel Time Budget:

At least 4 hours if the time is tight (excluding the time to go up the mountain);

If you have enough time, please help yourself (it is best to go up the mountain from 9:00 to 10:00 in the morning and bring some dry food, and go down the mountain at 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. You can go down the mountain early to eat or rush to Wulingyuan)

Follow the timing

Let's talk about how to visit Tianmen Mountain in the preface

First of all, purchase tickets. The ticket purchase window is divided into group and individual customers. Most people are individual customers 'windows, and the group window is exclusive for travel agency guides. Careful friends found that tickets for Tianmen Mountain can be purchased on many travel apps.

I can't help but remind everyone that online ticket prices in Tianmen Mountain are the same as windows. Buying online is not much cheaper, but if you buy it through a travel agency with channel resources, it will be cheaper.

Ticket types for Tianmen Mountain:

Line A: On the Tianmen Mountain cableway, under the Tianmen Cave Express Cableway

Line B: On the Tianmen Cave Express Cableway, under the Tianmen Mountain Cableway

Line C: Up and down the cableway of Tianmendong Express Line

Line I: On Tianmen Mountain cableway, off the environmentally friendly car

Line I2: On the eco-friendly vehicle, under the Tianmen Mountain cableway "Note: Above is the latest uphill route"

I recommend tickets for Line I or Line I2. Since you are in Zhangjiajie, no matter how scared you are, you must take the longest cableway in the world and the thrilling Tianmen 99 Daowan.

Take the I ticket as an example. If it was during the previous peak season (April and May to early November every year) or weekends, there might be more tourists and it would take a certain amount of time to queue up. Before entering the cableway company, a staff member will ask you to show your ticket. This is not a ticket check (but you must show it). Only before you pass the gate can you truly check your ticket.

cable car

The cable car is full of 8 people. As long as it starts, it will not be shut down because there are too few people. The running time of the cable car is about half an hour.

After passing the transfer station (don't get off at the transfer station so funny), you will have the most thrilling, exciting and the best scenery. You can see the winding mountain road and Tianmen Cave in a panoramic view. After reaching a low point, you will continue to go up.

Those who are not afraid can try to take a few shots, and those who are afraid can hug the people around them tightly...

When you arrive at the finish line, a staff member will look at you to make sure you get off the bus safely

To reach the top of the mountain, there are three routes to choose from:

West Line: Upper Cableway Station-Lingxiao Terrace-West Line Glass Plank Road-Guigu Plank Road-Suspension Bridge-Guigu Cave-Liuhe-Qiuer Cave-Cherry Bay-Tianmenshan Temple-Take the "Small Cable Car"-Yunmeng Xianding

East Line: Upper Cableway Station-Gongtong Garden-Bonsai Stone Area-Tianmen Turning Water-North View-Yuhu Peak-East Line Glass Plank Road-South View Tianmen Cave-East Line Plank Road-Love of Wood and Stone-Cherry Bay-Tianmen Mountain Temple-Take the "small cable car"-Yunmeng Xianding

Middle line: Upper cableway station-Yunmeng Xianding (there is a direct tunnel)-Peak Cable Car-Cherry Bay-Tianmen Mountain Temple-(West or East) Return to upper cableway station or escalator entrance

You can see different scenery by walking any line, but the scenery types are roughly the same. Don't worry about not having a glass plank road on the east line. You can see scenery everywhere on the plank road on the cliff!

First, let's talk about a more interesting place on the western line-the wishing forest. There are many red cloth ribbons hanging here, full of blessings written on them, dyeing the entire forest red. I believe that the friends who have made wishes here have "done what you wish";

There are two places that are suitable for taking photos on the western line: there is a small glass observation deck in the sky near the natural chasm; approaching a corner of the glass plank road, you can see the entrance of the glass plank road from here. The sky on the right side looks very good. It would be great if it was paired with the sea of clouds!

Let's talk about the less ornamental parts of the Eastern Line: the Davidia chinensis Garden that comes into view through the tunnel of time and space. If you encounter the flowering season of Davidia chinensis, you can take a closer look. Most of the time, it is bright, only Davidia chinensis is company. (By the way, Davidia chinensis is a plant of the same era as the dinosaurs. Its blooming flowers look like pigeons, so it is called "dove flower")

Of course, a new tour road has been opened this year from the east line to the escalator crossing the mountain. It is a more suitable place for taking photos and viewing on the east line, with mountain peaks as a backdrop.

Let's pick some of the best and must-see attractions in Tianmen Mountain

Tianmen Peak Cable Car

The small cable car on the top of the mountain is for two people. It is the only channel connecting Tianmen Mountain Temple and Yunmeng Xianding in the air. Since you come to Tianmen Mountain, this is a must-experience. The sea of flowers in spring and the snow waterfalls in winter... can all be fully confirmed here. By the way, there is an extra charge for this, 25 yuan/person.

glass boardwalk

Whether it is the glass plank road on the east or west, anywhere is worth experiencing. Think of it as a "preview lesson" for going to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. Those who are afraid at first can hold on to the wall, and then slowly let go of their hands and walk to the center, but you can be completely relieved that glass of this strength is not as strong as cement prefabricated panels. Walking on the glass plank road is free, but you need to charge a 5 yuan shoe cover fee.

Yunmeng Xianding

Yunmeng Xianding is the highest altitude on Tianmen Mountain, 1518 meters. Except for rain and fog, this is always the best viewing point. The urban area of Zhangjiajie at the foot of Tianmen Mountain, and the Qixing Mountain and Tianmen Mountain Temple not far away (which will also be included in the development scope of Tianmen Mountain in the future) have a panoramic view.

Tianmen cave

Tianmen Mountain is named after Tianmen Cave. Therefore, when you come to Tianmen Mountain, you must visit Tianmen Cave. Scientists have not given people a convincing scientific basis for the formation of Tianmen Cave so far. Under the Tianmen Gate is a 999-level ladder. Friends with good skills can walk around and pay attention to safety.

panshan highway

Claimed to be ninety

The nine-bend winding mountain highway actually has ninety-nine bends, and every bend has a sign. Everyone who has traveled to Tianmen Mountain will experience it, so I won't say much first.

After watching the descent,

Under the cableway of Tianmendong Express Line A and C

B, Line I2, Tianmenshan Cableway Station and Exit Cableway

Line I under the environmentally friendly car
